Oct 21, 2008If you want the red splash, play 4 cloudgoat ranger and a few changlings (Mirror entity, maybe a crib swap) and play 2-3 Ancient Amphitheather.Posted in: Standard Archives
The changlings have the bonus of being kithkin too, which is good for obvious reasons.
However, I find that the red splash does not do much good in the deck except for the mirror and then its only to kill stillmoons. I rather run unmake or oblivion ring (Yes it's still good even after cards like esper charm see play.) and make sure I can get rid of larger number of threats.

Your reasons for backing up bush are truly pathetic, anyone who is smart alerady thinkgs hes doing a terrible job. The 20% (according to national polls) that think he is doing a good job clearly lack any deep intelligence. You think the last 8 years have been just fine. Sure they were ok when you look in the scope of the present. But when you look in the scope of the future, him and his party have backed the US into an economic and military corner, and spent us out of house and home. He doubled the national debt. Something that has never been done before. You really think the economic crisis came out of the blue? Please think before you talk.
Sure 9/11 sucked real hard. But that dosen't give us the right to invade countries that had nothing to do with 9/11 (Iraq). If you want to stop Bin Laden he is hiding in the hills of pakistan, the military leaders already know this. Do you even know the agendas of the war? You really come across as a stubborn republican that does not know much about politics so tries to fight facts with "he's a good man".

Oct 10, 2008Posted in: Standard ArchivesQuote from Surging_ChaosYou can play with 20-21 lands pretty easily. You have stuff like Springleaf Drum and Etherium Sculptor to make everything far easier to cast.
Ok guys, the more and more I try using Salvage Titan, the less effective it is. Having to sac 3 artifacts to bring it into play is a huge investment and you will be ****ed in the face of removal. Boomerang and other bounce wrecks it. It doesn't help it can fall to stuff like Naturalize and other artifact destruction.
Even worse it doesn't have trample. It's not fun when this guy continues to run into 1/1 speedbumps and other chump blockers stopping it short of carving up your opponent's life total.
Titan-less Esper?!?Magic OnlineOCTGN2ApprenticeBuy These Cards Lands
4 Underground River
4 Sunken Ruins
4 Heap Doll
4 Etherium Sculptor
4 Tidehollow Strix
4 Master of Etherium
4 Springleaf Drum
4 Courier's Capsule
4 Agony Warp
4 Sculpting Steel
By focusing more on consistency and a solid aggro build, I think a Titan-less deck can work because he can screw you over so bad.
This looks alot better then salvage titan.dec
How useful are the spring drums tho? Short of getting it with heap doll or sculptor it dosen't do much beside be an artifact. Seems to tilt a bit to the "too situational" side in this type of deck.
@ Shinny Shinny
Heap Doll is an early drop that is needed, makes makeshift mannequin fairly worse, and trades with a decent number of things especially with a master of etherium in play. He gets there.
Heres my Version:
Oct 10, 2008Trilands- 1st and down.Posted in: Limited Archives
Panoramas-3rd and down.
Oblisks- 8th and down.
I pick trilands and panoramas a pick or two before most people do. It allows access to the best fixing and eliminating having to run oblisks. The only thing to pick over fixing would be things that are 2 for 1s and bombs.

If your going to build a deck at least give yourself the best chance to win. A blue splash allows for allot of card advantage. I put in gorilla shaman over shattering spree because mox monkey can beat. Mogg Fanatic helps against dredge. Fork can copy a recall or brainstorm, or act as another burn spell if needed. Top and fetchlands and brainstorms help dift through unneeded mana sources.

Awe did you really have to explain it so well, I was enjoying listening to the noob make a fool of himself. jk!
You have kird ape, wild nactal, and goyf. You dont need more big dudes like watchwolf your fine in the fat department. Watchwolf is unneeded overkill. Much better things to do play a 3/3 when you have plenty of fat at your disposal, you dont have all the space in the world.

Yeah the decklist might be slightly flawed the idea was to power out turn 2 blood moon autowins and trinishperes and chalices to lock up combo matches while still being completely relevant cards, throw in some beef and lifegain and boardwipers to control aggro. And plow under because its fun!
I agree on card draw, but blast miner dosen't help the strat of dropping a major hinderance and following it out with quick fat. He just ties up your mana to much.
But as card draw goes, thats a big let down. Ohran Viper is the best thing out there for the curve.

Whenever you play a land you may reveal the top card of your deck, if it is a land you may put that card into your hand, otherwise put it into your discard pile.
