Mar 12, 2008Omna15 posted a message on To quit or not to quitI would recommend not quitting, but like others have said, minimizing your involvement.. Its the kind of thing you can still enjoy when you can... I personally have no one to play with, and I miss it a great deal.. I toyed with the thought of quitting, especially seeing so many posts about decks that I have NO clue about, but I know I still love the game, and if I could just find one or two people to play with on a fairly regular basis, I would still play. Honestly, that's one big thing I miss about Ryan's and my relationship because he was always someone I could play against....Posted in: Psi's Blog

For me, I was totally into the whole trying new foods thing so i didn't exactly not have my appetite... but I can imagine it would be different there because of the vast majority of unrecognizable foods... AND the fact that you were living there and significantly homesick at first.Posted in: The Weary Gaijin: The Chronicles of Mr. Stuff
In any case, bravo on trying the new stuff!! -

EDIT: Oh and congrats on the 1500th post by Pet Snake!
I'm reading a bunch of writing books now- is anybody doing NaNoWriMo this year?? Please tell me you book nerds know what it is
EDIT: A friend of mine once described the Twilight series as "good beach reads" and I would agree I haven't read Eclipse or Breaking Dawn yet...
So, I have two story options in my head at this point.. The first I've had for a long time, the second, I just came up with yesterday.. trying to figure out which approach to take, because I like both stories very much, but I don't really have a lot of character development for the first story, though i have an enormous plot established.. The thing is I've written about 5,200 words on it already (that's about 11-12 pages) when I was working on it last year on my own time (not during NaNoWriMo) so it technically wouldn't be new... but it's such a good idea... but at the same time, I like the idea of starting with a clean slate.. I have this other idea where i have a cool character set up, with potential for ghosts, fantasy, and it'd be fun to write... but I still need to really develop what exactly will happen.. I feel stuck Help?
Been reading "No Plot? No Problem!" and some of my other writing books... I started Redemption of Althalus but I'm getting distracted from reading recreationally, by the idea of doing my novel...
Anyway, that's my input from the book I'm reading.... Do you have any ideas for your book?
I'll check in here later, gotta get some sleep now.

Anyway, I should get on that.. hey is anyone doing NaNoWriMo this year?? I'm thinking I'm gonna give it a shot, I'm excited!! I think I might start The Yearbook over again, even though I've written a good number of pages already, I lost the file somewhere on Brad's laptop and the one on my computer is outdated, so I might as well start over... Anybody remember my book idea, the Yearbook? Or do I need to re-synopsize it? If I do, no worries, just lmk! Or I could go for an entirely different concept... what kind though, I don't know.
