Mar 12, 2008Omna15 posted a message on To quit or not to quitI would recommend not quitting, but like others have said, minimizing your involvement.. Its the kind of thing you can still enjoy when you can... I personally have no one to play with, and I miss it a great deal.. I toyed with the thought of quitting, especially seeing so many posts about decks that I have NO clue about, but I know I still love the game, and if I could just find one or two people to play with on a fairly regular basis, I would still play. Honestly, that's one big thing I miss about Ryan's and my relationship because he was always someone I could play against....Posted in: Psi's Blog

Feb 10, 2008Omna15 posted a message on The Real Blog Blues: Part One - FoodHey... interesting.. I remember feeling kinda like this when i went to Europe.. For me, I was totally into the whole trying new foods thing so i didn't exactly not have my appetite... but I can imagine it would be different there because of the vast majority of unrecognizable foods... AND the fact that you were living there and significantly homesick at first.Posted in: The Weary Gaijin: The Chronicles of Mr. Stuff
In any case, bravo on trying the new stuff!! -

Oh of course you can! Either Omna or Danica work... that goes for anyone on the forum
Smooth... Editing it before I can correct your typo ... On my way, on my way...
Omna
Crazy Arguas... Well, I'll be going too! To Syracuse, New York that is..... I cannot believe none of you people are going! In that case, I'll probably be wearing a black Star Wars shirt with blue jeans and a blue windbreaker.. I have rectangular awesome-lookin' librarian style glasses (hey don't knock librarians.. I wanna be one!) I'm about 5'5, brownish-blond hair, blue-grey eyes, and probably (*cough*definitely*cough*) hanging with Arguas... Its undetermined as of yet whether I'll actually be playing (only have had 5 mo's of experience after all)... We'll see.
We're friendly... don't bite... Most of the time *chuckles* Only Arguas, when he gets Lightning Helix'ed ...
Omna!
Oh.. Pay him no mind... he's just a typical male in that he takes everything as a "challenge"............. But then again.... I present a good one...
....not my brand-new Gruul deck vs his Orzhov one though..eep. Actually its more of Souls of the Faultless 's fault! Tsk.....
and as far as:
Wooohooo! He got me into it, so its thanks to him....but yeah, I'm not just an awesome Magic-player's girlfriend, but now an actual Magic player myself!!
Well, well....... This IS me. The *fanfare* girlfriend... and yes, I am deaf, and yes, this amazing guy ACTUALLY typed up the WHOLE DAMN THING! Just so i could read it!!! And be equally a geek just like him by knowing what they said... and I love being able to whack him when he says "WHERE'S THE CHEETOS!!!" or "I'm getting a soda, anyone want one!?" For crying out loud we were at his parents' house when he did that.. I slammed the door on him when he went down to the basement
Of course he assumed I didn't want one by that response....
He has taught me the game, and admittedly at first I wasn't into it as much... However, after a few games, (one which we teased each other constantly, and I ended up CREAMING him) I got to love it
As an anniversary/Easter gift to him, I've FINALLY joined the forums.. Something I've actually been meaning to do for quite some time. I see him browsing these things sooo often... .
And it is amazing what he's accomplished with his Sanctuaries set, which I've had the opportunity to watch grow and yesterday I actually helped him reach his goal of submitting this phase... I'm really happy that I could do that...
And now, I am SO eager to learn more and more about the wonderful game of Magic... I did my first draft 2 or 3 weeks ago, built a deck around Hunted Horror with the colors blue and black predominant with a splash of white.
Are there any other women players out there that I can perhaps "identify" with? I'm learning the game, and anything anyone can help me with, I'd appreciate.
In short, here I am.. Omna15, new to the forums, somewhat new to the game.... I look forward to this new adventure.
