Hey, this is a Golem with a decent-ish body that curves into Master Splicer, so I guess at least one person building Golem Tribal is happy about this, right...?

Seems like a neat Selesnya target for 5c Niv-Mizzet Reborn. Other than that, no idea what other decks in current Standard could want this.

I love the fact that him being a 4/4 means he loses a fight with King Arthur. But due to the second effect, he must keep attacking anyway.

Damn Edgewall Innkeeper seems GOOD. A one-mana Beast Whisperer if you go through the hoops? At Uncommon? And it works well with Lovestruck Beast? Yeah, unless every other Adventure is utterly unplayable I think this should make some waves in Standard.

Right, so apparently the dwarves aren't the only thing in this art in sevens. Time to start looking? Here's some music for inspiration.

    Seven bags
    Seven boxes on the right
Seven flames (six on walls plus rightmost dwarf's torch)
Seven red gems in the left
Seven tools (3 on the ground, 2 with center dwarf, plus two more with the other dwarves)
Seven circles in center dwarf's armor
    That's what I've got

"Carvalhandia" is probably a combination of "Oak" (Carvalho) and "Land" (suffix -landia). So most likely Oakland Ranger.

If I had to guess, Ikoria seems to be the "not-Kamigawa" Japanese inspired block MaRo has been teasing for years. More "Modern Japan Sentai Kaiju World" and less "Traditional Japan Spirit Samurai World", just like Eldraine is less Lorwyn "Fairtyale Fair Folk Celtic Horrors World" and more "Fairytale Disney Reboot Arthurian World".

Return to Theros is like "you don't say" and Zendikar is a big meh for me. Meanwhile, the words "Teferi Core Set" just made me very nervous.

That ult is unbelievably weak. -8 should change the game. I’m not impressed.
As it should be. They enter with 6 Loyalty, Ult at turn 6 and have no minus abilities. I can't think they would be willing to make that Ult any stronger considering how resilient they are. I think as far as Ultimates goes, it's much better than, say, Ashiok.

  • posted a message on [ELD] 3 Adventure cards (with rules) and Uncommon Legendary (Syr Konrad)
What in the goddamn of even is Syr Konrad? "Whenever graveyard or graveyard or graveyard, ping your opponent". He's the wordiest thing ever to do the most mundane thing ever... which now that I think of it, if this is WotC's flavorful way of making a "fantasy noble that talks a lot but does very little", this is pure brilliance. Still has potential in Commander though, considering he says "ANY creature dies or ANY creature is put into a graveyard", the damage racks up fast.

Adventures are cool, but a bit weird - they function mostly how I predicted they would, some Creature/Spell Split. But I was not expecting the "you can cast the creature half later" part. Order of Midnight seems very much playable though.
Also, Smitten Swordmaster is literally just Lord Farquaad. Please tell me I'm not the only one seeing this.

Ding dong the witch is dead! For real this time!

But the Faithless Looting ban is surprising for sure, and by far one of the most impactful changes in the format. Not entirely unwelcome, just... surprising, even though it definitely will make a lot of people angry.

I love the fact Curse of Fool's Wisdom says "enchant player" instead of opponent. Yes, you can enchant yourself for no benefit whatsoever!

Is this effect really that strong that it needs to etbt and cost 5?
Since this is not limited to Sorcery speed, in a 4-player Commander game, this could easily be seen as a way to skip the turn of up to two opponents. This sounds extremely strong. Hell, it probably ETBTs because otherwise if you manage to copy it once per turn during your turns, you can essentially turn the game into a 1v1.

This is an awful card, even in edh. I don't want anyone stealing my commander for free thanks. Make him indestructible and then we can talk. Otherwise, I would never play this crap.
Uh, no one is "stealing" Tahngarth. Quite the opposite: You're "borrowing" an opponent's combat phase so Tahngarth can attack once again. Here's how it works:

    • Table consists of me, Alice, Bob and Chloe
    • During my turn, I attack Chloe using Tahngarth, therefore Tahngarth is now tapped
    • During Alice's turn, she declares an attack on Bob and Chloe
    • Tahngarth's ability triggers: I may choose either Bob and Chloe
    • Let's say I chose Chloe - Now Alice gains control of Tahngarth during the combat phase only
    • Tahngarth is now under Alice's control attacking the player I chose, in this case Chloe

The only possible risk I might face when lending someone Tahngarth is if that player is playing Instant-speed Sacrifice effects, in which case he might be sacrificed before coming back, so I wouldn't recommend doing that if Alice is playing Aristocrats.
