The first thing you will probably notice is there is NO interaction maindeck, and I have no idea for a sideboard. This could definitely use some streamlining so any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Current things I'm concerned about: Generator Servant: Its good with prime time sucks with emrakul, sucks with summoning trap. If we draw emrakul it also sucks. A more castable alternative to Emrakul might be in order.
Hi, I have little to no modern staples, and am looking to enter the format. I can put $400 into magic right now, $500 if i really stretch it. I want to play control or combo, or a mix. Splinter twin looked like a fun deck to me, my favorite color is blue, and my favorite card is cryptic command
Heyall, im new to edh and ive been testing on cockatrice for a while building various decks with 100$ budget. I had a few pretty cool decks, but today I was at my lgs getting a feel for the meta after a modern tourney and borrowing someone's animar deck and quickly realized my lists were not up to par. His other sisay deck went infinite turn 4 and one-hit koed us all. I had the same thing going to happen next turn(different combo in hand) Because I dont want to play modern I'm thinking of a grindy control/stax commander with lots of disruption, but I'm not sure. Any ideas for a place to start that fits my budget would be awesome!
I'd say definitely good. As an avid anti-netdecking sortof person top tier decks are just boring, I completely renounce them. Variety is very healthy for a format (IMO)
For the first I wonder if theres something to make mass islands. heheheh Boil
Second one is Neato! Basically a modern version of painter's servant. Ill put that in the list.
This wins that turn, so you can use Pacts to protect it easier? It involves more cards that you can actually play without the help of Tooth and Nail or the ramp? Including lots of clone effects you can use on opposing big creatures while stalling into your ramp? You can use both strategies in case you get hit by Slaughter Games?
Technically both decks win that turn. Xenagos gives haste. But all of your other points you made are quite valid, I run a T&N deck packaged with genesis wave in case of slaughter games.
Coolios lots of reccomendations. Deetoz ur deck goes in as "Quest for the Holy Relic" and i think i'm gonna start putting in links when i get the chance. LtGlitter whats the name of the deck?
Edit: Green Sun's Zenith at least thats what I found.
Hello, aspiring brewer here, always interested in what other people are building and I have a love for combo decks of all kind but not stereotypical ones, ROGUE combo decks. These decks really excite me and I thought it'd be fun and very intriguing to assemble a list of rogue combo decks :P. I might add a sort of list with descriptions and deck lists eventually but I just thought it would be cool too see what sort of submissions.
The List:
Narset Reanimator
Modern Painters Servant (liquimetal coating)

P.S. Idk if this is in the right spot to post but i thought it seemed pretty "broad" as per the rules so i put it here.
Edit: Uh links are broken im not sure what i did wrong, I'm new here Ill try to fix that in a bit busy right now
Sunday magic report, very happy with my outcome. Running something like this (landbase is excluded cause I dont remember off the top of my head, its just b/r)
Game 1:
Clean match against some sort of naya midrange, he had little to no interaction. T3 and t4 griselbrand kill, nice and clean.
Game 2:
Most interesting match probably ever against Jeskai Ascendancy. Game 1 I didnt draw a goryos for griselbrand in the yard and lost around turn 5. Game 2 I put in 2x Go for the throat and 3xDuress kept an opener with both, faithless, and some lands. Throated a birds of paradise and duressed ascendancy so we both went into topdeck mode. Mine included through the breach and worldspine, he just pained himself down to 14 digging for his combo until I killed him. Game 3 was beautiful. 3 lands, faithless, griselbrand, goryos, and duress. T2 kill ftw.
Game 3:
Played against infect. Kept a SS, 4 land, breach+worldspine that I shouldnt have and lost. Next game mulliganed to 3 lands faithless and tormenting drew grisel, breach, but not ramp so vengeance came 1 turn too late. Dissapointing match overall
Game 4:
This lady hates me. Treefolk tribal isnt good against griselbrand. Game 1 I was cocky kept a bad hand and lost. Game 2 I was down to 10 went off with griselbrand and she conceded. I looked and if she hadnt I would have fizzled. Game 3 I kept looting goryos land land pentad tormenting. Drew into griselbrand draw draw fury draw fling griselbrand gg t3.
Went 3-1 very happy with my success. The deck is awesome. I love the flings actually, adds a lot of consistency mid combo though I may cut one for another wild guess. Took 2nd place today the jeskai ascendancy dude got 1st with mr. Infect right behind me.
Still havent picked up Emrakul for my deck but I recently had been thinking about how he presents the problem of How 15 isnt 20 unlike worldspine who leaves tokens, but cant be reanimated. Then I thought "oh wait! Manlands!" Any thoughts on that? I havent done much research on them for my rb allin build but theres mutavault at the least, inkmoth, blinkmoth and probably others. One nice thing is that these enter untapped so they dont slow down the combo.
This is a RG all in combo / aggro deck that packages as much inevitability and ramp in as possible, which in turn leaves for lacking interactivity in the name of consistency.
It Uses:
Emrakul, The Aeons Torn and Primeval Titan in combination with Summoning Trap and See the Unwritten.
One can also merely cast Primeval Titan and fetch a lot of Valakut, the Molten Pinnacles, or win with the typical Scapeshift.
This is what i have so far:
4 Scapeshift
2 See the Unwritten
4 Summoning Trap
4 Primeval Titan
4 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
4 Sakura-Tribe Elder
4 Search for Tomorrow
3 Farseek
4 Khalni Heart Expedition
2 Generator Servant
4 Cinder Glade
4 Stomping Ground
4 Wooded Foothills
2 Valakut, The Molten Pinnacle
1 Kessig Wolf Run
5 Forest
5 Mountain

That looks awesome, Is it possible to cut a few collonades (like 2) to drop the price? or are those absolutely neccesary to have a four of.
I was thinking 2x Resto Angel 1x Snapcaster Mage 2x Celestial Collonade? (and 4 wall)
Free faithless looting with improved seething song mid combo? Seems legit.
Edit: I'm stupid thats not modern legal :S. My bad
Umm rewind perhaps? Combo Protection?
Lol! I think I'm going to go brew that deck because of that card. That's just fantastic.
