I'd cut 1 fircraft for 1 more smash. There are alot of relevant artifacts that you need to deal with, tromod's crypt is also better as a broad grave hate then Leyeline, since any Leyline's that aren't in your opening hand becomes dead cards. If you decide to go with crypt instead of Leylines, you can also cut one out for another red blast which is very relevant against delver/blue decks. These recommendations are for unknown metas, so take it with a grain of salt.Posted in: Aggro & Tempo
Good luck and welcome to Legacy! -

Revhrain posted a message on UR pure tempo/control viable?Hey it's been a while since I posted in this thread but the new set seems to bring several new tools!Posted in: Deck Creation (Modern)
* Unsbustantiate looks great as a tempo card and it would work wonders with Vendilion Clique and Snapcaster Mage,
* Summary Dismissal is a great sideboard option against Eldrazi-like effects,
* Imprisioned in the Moon is a good answer to resolved planeswalkers and it's useful along the usual mana denial package consisting of Blood Moon and Spreading Seas,
* And Chaos Reveler which seems to have a great potential, it chains with Unsubstantiate since you don't exile the cards in your graveyard like delve does (and Cryptic Command to that effect).
On its own each of those cards dont look like a great deal, but in conjunction with other previously strong cards can make this archetype shine anew!
I'm working on a list right now and I'll post it tomorrow in hopes of testing it the following weeks

Zer0evil posted a message on The Legacy Price Discussion ThreadI've said it before and I'll say it again, all these buyouts are just going to make Chinese counterfeits more socially acceptable. It happens with every luxury item. You make it desirable but unobtainable for most people, and some factory in China is going to pump out knock offs and eventually nobody will care.Posted in: Market Street Café -

My Magic: Online experience...
I have been running this list for a couple weeks now and I have had some great results with it. I started with my Lingering Taxes shell but felt that Wall of Resurgence may have been well-positioned all along. I tried very hard to squeeze both in this current shell but found it a bit difficult to force. While I do miss the flying bygone spirits, I have found Wall + Blinkmoth to fill the void a bit. This current iteration is set up to beat a ton of matches that we need the boost. Wall giving us a decent body but most importantly, access to haste is huge. There is many times were the finish line is a decent combat step away and we are unable to sequence those last few points of combat. Wall of Resurgence helps with this issue a lot! The matches that we could potentially be punished for this build are exclusively affinity (and possibly Jund).
Sideboard plan...
The sideboard has been incredibly strong! Some things I need to bring up...
1) I am all about Rest in Peace right now. This card is just way too good. If has been incredible at destroying so many strategies: Coco, Storm, Vengevine/Dredge (really popular online), Snapcaster/Goyf decks, and other random stuff (Gifts/Thopter).
2) Sin collector is just wow! Nahiri, Infect, Storm, Blue Tron, and all those other decks that just drag the game out struggle to Sin C. He is hilariously good at luring out Paths and other removal that affects Thoughknot Seer. Then letting them keep the bolt and eating it with TKS is super powerful. There is a chance if the format swings more to spell based gameplay that I will add an additional to the board.
3) Sword of Fire and Ice ... really, really good. Even when the opponent knows its in the sideboard, it just has the potential to wreck them. It also helps against decks that require us to draw enough removal (infect, coco, mirror match, elves, merfolk). Having ways to push damage through and remove annoying creatures is fantastic.
Other than this, almost all the other cards are traditionally explained cards. The only thing I wish I had in the board is a card that's not critical just yet (dismember). The only matches I have consistently loss were against mono-black infect and random pro-white creatures (stormbreath dragon and blood baron of vizkopa). If things like this become more than 2% of meta, I would then consider putting dismember in the board.
I'm sure most of you would not approve of phyrexian revoker but leonin arbiter in the same slot would still be a great starting point. You might need to cut a couple flagstones and just add back a godless and a caves in there slot of two. Other than that, I would really suggest you give this list a shot at FNM. At least see where the deck takes you until more spoilers are available.
Give me your feedback and thoughts as well.
PS: I cannot stream currently as I am in Texas with access to beyond subpar Wi-Fi in my hotel. As soon as I am home, I will let you all know when I'm back on a regular streaming schedule! -

Clipper70 posted a message on Colorless EldraziTron (1/2016 - 1/2017)Went 4-0 with the following list last night at LGS.Posted in: Modern Archives - Established
Round 1 vs Infect : 2-1 - lost to blighted agent and pump spells hitting me for 12 poison all at once. Won with chalice for 1 in one game and mapping for GQ to deal with ink moth in the other.
Round 2 vs Delver : 2-0 - Spot removal and then beat down got me through both games. Didn't side in chalice in either game but probably will next time.
Round 3 vs Burn : 2-0 - Not a conventional burn build, lots of elemental's that hit for 3 and then get sacrificed at end of turn, also playing Bloodchief Ascension. Used spot removal on his swift spears and block/beat down with reshaper/smasher. Game 2 chalice for 1.
Round 4 vs U/w/r control : 2-1 Game loss cos I got too greedy and swung with smasher to force lethal the next turn, forgot about fumarole, dead on the crack back. Both wins were from reasonably long games, which was good for me. World breaker blocks restoration angle and kills colenade very well and dropping Ulamogs with chalice on 1 to shut down path is a fun play
Looking forward to testing with Emrakul, the promised end. Thinking she might be good as an alternative threat when playing against a deck running path. turn 1 map, turn 2 crack map. Turn 3 achieve Tron - play all is dust. Turn 4 play second tower and drop Emrekul for 10. Not Sure if that's better than just dropping Ulamog t4 though?
Maybe also combo with Ugin's Nexus and sanctum of Ugin to chain New Emrekuls for constant mindslaver?
Interested to see if there will be other toys for us coming over the next week.
Also got 2x Ugin, the spirit dragon on the way in the mail, maybe 1 main and 1 side?
Cheers.

TomCourtenay posted a message on Grand Prix Weekend Megathread - GP Charlotte/GP Los Angeles 2016Ad Nauseam is just the best non interactive combo deck ever in Modern to me. It's been love and all since a year when I picked up the deck and always was glad with my results and results in Pro Tour (Jarred Boettcher 9th at Born of the Gods and Daniel Grafensteiner 7-2 at last Pro Tour), GPs (Darien Elderfield Top 4 in GP Charlotte 2015, Jon Benavides trial winner at GP Oklahoma City 2015, Troy Willmer trial winner at GP Detroit 2016), SCG Opens (Bill Raggle Top 16 at an IQ in Cleveland, Garrak Matheson 26th at SCG Open Charlotte 2015 and Nycholas Bird at the SCG Open in January) and States (Jonathan Benson taking down Colubums).Posted in: Modern
The deck is such a great deck : you sit by yourself, play cantrips for digging and placing mana rocks on the table while sculpting your hand and comboing in response to lethal damage. No interactions at all, I just love it. You have to love that and I know that the vast majority of player don't like it, but it's none of my business what players like or not. All I can say it that I love it
