I am toying with an idea that doesn't seem to be too consistent in its current form. I need help. What I am trying to do is flood the board with artifacts that cost 0 so that I can obtain affinity for Frogmite or Myr Enforcer. Once one of each of those get on the board MC will cost 0. What do you guys think? Could this work? Any suggestions to make it more consistent?
I am really liking this deck. What was the reasoning behind taking out Wingmate Roc and replacing it with Skyrider Elf? Wingmate Roc is definitely the better of the two. Is it just because of the double white?
I would assume that these Esper lists run into the same problem as vaultless U/B.
Can Esper handle a monstrous Fleecemane any different than U/B? The answer is no.
So what is the advantage to playing Esper over U/B?
Yeah, I am not a huge fan of the Shorestalker either. The game plan was to combo Shorestalker + Ornithopter + Military Intelligence on turn two and start the card advantage. I have to try a few different strategies since Shorestalker + Bident has great synergy but I am not sure how well it works with Military Intelligence. Going to have to play test the Monastery Siege. It has been sitting in the back of my mind and I am pretty sure I put it in my paper copy of the deck but I haven't had a chance to test this deck in paper yet.
I feel like master of waves is a bomb but want to focus on threats that usually last more than two turns :P. He works a bit like rabble master, easy to deal with and usually dealt with right away. I also want to focus on a lower curve with less lands so I can flood the board with threats.
Why do you say negates are useless? If you negate the targeting spell then they would survive.
I was also thinking about using Reality Shift here. If they get targeted then I could exile them and manifest the top card of my library.
I see what you are saying with encrust/singing bell strike. I have always found strike to be easier to play around however encrust requires me to take some damage as it only works on tapped creatures.
Your suggestions seem proper for aggro however I wanted to stay away from an aggro build and go for more midrange.
Here is the decklist.
Wondering which is better Delver or Swiftspear???
My assumption is that Delver would be good in a reactive list and Swiftspear in a proactive list.
What are your thoughts?
