EDIT: Uploaded some videos of gameplay with my list. I know I made some mistakes, but still won the matches. I like this list very much. Feel free to point out any mistakes you see in my gameplay, maybe help me improve. I know I'm not as proficient with the deck as I probably could be, so any pointers help. Thanks!
I really wanted to see it, but the quality is only 480p which looks really bad on my iPad. Could you please reupload at at least 720p or better FullHD 1080p? Otherwise I appreciate that somebody is doing our deck publicity
Thank you both! I was wondering if I get the response and yes, you did.
I am on budget, but my limit (300 USD) fits within the most of the deck variants played online. Thank you againt, I will reread both of your advices and then buy some deck based on them!
Hi guys,
I am pretty new to the deck. I have read the primer, searched for some videos on YouTube and Twitch. I decided to invest into it because I like the gameplay. Should I pick some variant on mtggoldfish, which has reached 5:0? Or do you recommend me something different?
I played in the past, mostly around 1999-2004. I was mainly control player at that time with my Mono U Draw & Go, but I played even some Mono Black aggro or tried White Weenie decks. I have returned to Magic around 2012, but made a lot of pauses, though I have never sold my cardpool so I still have a lot of them. Last month I started playing on MTGO, because my LGS is in the different city and I cannot visit it often due to work.
So now is the Izzet Delver a thing? https://www.mtggoldfish.com/tournament/pauper-challenge-11160263#online Well online is not hard to get those cards but it is almost impossible for me to get Snow-Covered lands and Skred in the pauper (stores in my country do not have them available).
Your deck strongly reminds me one from MTGGoldfish with 5:0 score, I run the similar one except for Vapor Snag changed to Snap and -2 Augur Bolas in favor of Mutagenic Growth.
But I struggle with sideboarding too, mine its almost the same except 4x Hydroblast (much Burn and Tron decks).
When I see the Re-Think discussion, I even might agree. However I think the deck is leaving "the budget friendly" seas more and more (as I posted a few weeks ago after my return to Magic, luckily I never sell my cards).
I love the idea of the deck and it's gameplay. However, I really struggle to win with it. I was defeated by all Tier 1 Pauper decks and having success only against some homebrews. Sometimes I find myself out of steam after turn 5/6 and it's hardly to catch up. Defeating burn is like mission impossible a lot of time.
I find Rats and Unearth combo useful against Tron and Control decks. But I really struggle against Elves, Boggles and Burn. These matchups I find almost impossible. I guess I make a lot of mistakes like drawing cards through Sign in Blood against Burn or not killing some of early Elves. I have like 50:50 ratio against U Delver. Sometimes I am even crushed by some homebrew decks, but that's another story.
Are there any common tips and tricks against Tier 1 decks? Also how important is running Cuombajj Witches? What about Thorn of the Black Rose some builds use it, some do not.
I found it interesting in this build from MTGO which gone undefeated 5:0.
Thanks alexmoita, I will try to do as you have advised to me! I wonder what happened to price of Chalice of the Void, I remember buying one for 10 €...
