Hello everybody this is a deck that i originally tweaked from the traditional Jund Aggro deck, overall i found Jund to have much better options with the addition of white. So below is my deck and any suggestions are very welcome!!

    The DECK!

Ahhhh that feels better. Sorry, I dont have anything to add to critique your deck, I just got back into both magic AND salvation from a 2 year hiatus. Stupid Lorwyn block.

But people will like me for decking this list up for you.

I typically buy my cards in boxes, one a month until I have a majority or the new set comes out, and your about right, typically in any set besides Time Spiral (DAMN YOU TIME SPIRAL) you get 3-4 of every Uncommon from a box, a full play set of the Commons and on average I would say 2 of the Rares, but not every Rare.

Typically, I did my Lorwyn and got two Cashsiezes and two of each of the lands and two of each of the gold cards (except Gaddock, I got 3 of him, God bless Wizards)

Thank God, there were so many issues with the vendors and my local store with this, plus the people that always end up bringing a deck filled with said not legal set always bring you down, Ive actually boughten some of those poor kids precons just so they could play.

This thread spells out the reasons why Shadowmoor is almost certainly graveyard-themed quite effectively.

I agree that enchantments are soon on the agenda, but not in Shadowmoor -- the second mini-block won't have any minor themes, just like Lorwyn doesn't.

I really doubt we'll see another artifact block anytime soon. The first one was pretty unpopular in the long run (too bad -- tons of fantastic Jonny cards and cool design that were overshadowed by Affinity), while enchantments have yet to see a block -- and I doubt we'll see two card-type themed blocks consecutively.

Right now, I expect Shadowmoor to be graveyard, next year to be enchantments, and the year after that to be a new, previously unused theme.

actually, the first block with an artifact theme would be Antiquities. Then Urzas block was super Artifact heavy, then Mirrodin.

Antiquities was the hawtness. Mirrodin is old and busted. Smile

I dont see it anywhere on the site, I got this from my booster box connection. Nothing huge, but again I dont see it on the site.

Starting with the Lorwyn block, Wizards of the Coast is going to a two set block instead of a three set block. Morningtide is the second set of the Lorwyn block and completes the block. The cards in these sets will still be tournament legal for the same period of time as if they were part of a three block set.

    Street Date is February 1st.

How good was Hinder during it's day?

Now think, Faerie Trickery is almost the same card except they have nearly no ways to get it back (Pull From Eternity...) and it pumps 'goyf. Personally I'm picking a playset up asap and then letting them sit in my box until I decide to play control again (give it about 3-4 months, just enough time for all the aggro players to get bored and start playing control again so it will make a comeback).

    peace

Theres no way you just compared this card to Hinder.

Theres a string attached to this card, "Cant counter Faerie Spells" theres no such thing on Hinder.

this card wont see much play outside its tribes decks and block and maybe some Sideboards if certain cards start to see play. Cancel is just better since its an unrestricted counter.

And why on Gods green earth would you ever run this when for 1 more mana you get t3h nuts.

    Quote from silasw
One more pro: your opponent's Faerie Trickery can't counter it.

And you cant counter theirs.... Thats a con actually, the big reason I would run Cancel all day over this card.

As cool as the card is, it's still pretty depressing that the Champion mechanic is almost an identical rehashing of the Wormfang Drake mechanic. Incredibly, they've managed to repackage what was clearly a downside in the mechanic's first iteration into a supposed upside, and we're all buying into it.

It this isn't an indication of dwindling design space in Magic - or of WotC's inability to tap into unexplored space - then I don't know what is.

Everything Wizards has done since Ice Age has pretty much been a rehash on something else.

If you dont like it, you could try out Yu-Gi-Ho or Pokemon, I hear they only have new fresh ideas!!

Seriously, in a game as old as Magic, its going to have abilities that are slightly tweaked versions of old Abilities.

    Quote from Vampyr
The Wheel weaves as the Wheel wills. A writer could intend to write only one book and die in the middle of it. One never knows...

While I am very deeply saddened by his passing, I personally am glad that he never truly finished the series. To continue wondering what roads his writing may have taken characters allows my imagination to create and devise many, many possibilities. To know that RJ purposefully stopped the creative flow filling the Wheel of Time world would have left me more saddened that his passing. Because at that point, the author is saying I have no more to give to this creation. That, to me, would have been a truly devastating day.

As someone who's been a fan of his for more than half my life, I've thoroughly enjoyed each installment of the story line. It's a series of books that I will highly encourage my children to read one day, in the hopes that their imagination will be ignited as mine was when I initially opened the cover to the first book.

I dont know how you'll feel about this, but he left behind all his notes, all the plot twists, all the plot endings and the final endings for his Wife to either finish it herself, or to hire someone to finish it for him.

He was apparently about 3/4 of the way through the book (rough edition, no editing) and had only a month before his death told the book to his Wife and cousin by mouth (God I would give anything to have been there to hear him tell it vocally). He said it took almost 4 hours to do, but they know the ending and all the loose ends to be finished.

It was his stated desire in multiple blogs that he wanted his books finished, and that if he did die before they were done that it would be finished after his death so we could know how everything turns out.

Personally, seeing as that to me Rand, Mat and Perrin are like my brothers, Im beyond elated to know that I'll find out what happens to them.

Im still having that problem of waiting to wake up, or remember its a bad dream. only 58 and at least 3 more stories he wanted to tell. Its times like these that make me question God.

God rest his soul, Ive been reading his books since 1995, and Im having a hard time adjusting to the thought of a world where I cant look forward to his books.

Also it saddens me knowing that he was going to write at least 3 more books later detailing what happened after the Last Battle.

    Im very sad today.

I was hoping for some good goblins for my VialGoblins, are they afraid to make too good goblins or are we going to see them later?

Those 4 mana cards are just to expensive, but I like the Quill-Slinger:
It punished a Kithkin player and has synergy if you play them yourself.

Dude, they are all common, they arent that bad for that rareity.

Its sad, but facinating (kind of like a trainwreck) to watch the die hard blue mages try to say this guy is good.

    Because hes not.

Ive read several times all you have to do is make sure he resolves then you can make both draw a card and then you draw 5 cards.

Wouldnt it be great if it worked that way? I'll love it when people do that, I like autowins.

The whole point of a blue control deck is to one for one your opponent with Counter Spells, then gain card advantage in card draw. Out drawing them on cards. This guy, in order to pump himself is anti-synergistic with that strategy.

If his first ability was good, then MUC would run Howling Mines.

Hes ok, maybe 4th best, maybe 3rd, Best still goes to the Green one.

Clash is designed to interact with Giants.
As has been already shown, the Giant tribe is all about having the highest CMC cards.
Clash and Bob aren't existing in the same standard, as they tend to be diametrically opposed, so I don't think this mechanic is such a big deal.

    God Bless you Seds.
