I'm having a hard time seeing it as anything other than worse Dissipate. I suppose its worth depends on how many non creature enablers/wincons are sorcery speed vs instant.

I'd like something along the lines of Portent or Predict, even if they aren't the greatest.

Well that is some power hopefully other guilds get some good stuff as well lol.

I find it funny though that this is just fine for GB...but a 2 CMC unconditional counter is simply too good and just isn't fair.
Given that they've been on such a "the opponent searches for a basic land and puts it into play" kick lately (Field of Ruin, Old-Growth Dryad, and now this) I wouldn't be surprised if at some point in the near future they print a 2-mana unconditional counterspell that has the opponent search out a basic land.

Or something like a 1 cmc counterspell that only hits opponent cmc 4 or less spells that gives the opponent a basic land, if they decide to do something like give the opponent the land untapped.

We all know WotC will just reprint Spell Snare and call it a day.

Boros Guildgate is #231 and Crumbling Necropolis is #233 and they didn't spoil anything else that could be #232, I'm pretty sure I can guess which card is going to be in the set between those two. Smile
    Cavern of Souls hype FTW!

Realized I've got about 300 bucks in store credit built up. Should I go all in on expedition lands? Got my last foil halo today btw

Judge Foil fetches best fetches, if possible.

Thoughts on the ridiculous 4 mana NOPE spoiled recently?

I was so hoping for her to be UB centered about discarding, then BOOM Bant out of nowhere.

What if instead of boarding in stony silences and all that, we just sideboard 2 Fracturing Gust and just dig like hell.

This also gives us a reasonable out against Boggles, that Prison/Pillow Fort deck, is a great draw against Affinity at any point of the game, and is incredibly useful against Tezzerator/Thopter Brews.

We've got another 4 round modern event firing here within an hour, if I can locate 2-3 copies of fracturing gust I'm going to sideboard them as well as 2 Night of Souls' Betrayal and just run WILD.

I think SS is better because it has a wider reach in terms of decks it can hit, helps on the straight up worst matchup and freezes various decks on its tracks at the cost of 2. Besides, FG also implies that we are able to WWW by turn 5 agaisnt the decks you want it, which is quite difficult with our somewhat already standarized mana base.

There were exactly 35 instances I've marked down of "turn 7 or later, holding a grip of lands, rip think twice and play it plus flashback EOT, ripping a relevant spell for stabilization" of those 35 instances, 26 of them were "Dead on board if I don't rip cryptic, verdict, or path" and of those 26 instances the required stabilization cards were in fact drawn 22 times (from either think twice, flashback, or the following draw step after drawing two cards)

That's what I meant by playing Anticipate + Ancestral Vision, if we happen to need the immediate drawing power of Think Twice to search for an specific answer while we have an AV suspended, card selection that digs for 3 is straight up better, even if we don't have the flashback. Therefore, I believe we can actually cut TT if we play something like Anticipate to search for answers that let us survive until it comes out of Suspend. My only concern would be facing stuff like Eldrazi processors, but those just aren't that common in the first place.

Hopefully I'll be able to test this theory of mine during the weekend and let you now if it's actually any good.

I feel we can go 4 Visions + 2 Anticipate if the problem is finding cards in the midgame instead of 4 Visions + 2 TT or any weird split like that.

Dig in place of either Logic Knots or SoDs or a split, maybe an extra threat. I'd go for 2 copies most likely.

One question for those theory-building Bant Draw-Go: Is Fracturing Gust something you'd play in the board?

As usual, WotC loves to tease us with borderline plaable cards for classic Draw-Go control, bot not reall there.

PD: Isn't this worse than Artificer's Epiphany? Again, WTF Wizards :'(
