LOL Awesome pictures daggs!! Loving the last 2 haha. What I would really like to see is another picture after what you are saying is going to happen happens, from the same place and angle as the scorched earth picture, so I can get some perspective.
Any word on the family? I've been watching a lot of the stuff going on over there, and donated to a couple of places. I hope everything is ok, I know someone else with direct family over there and they're still trying to find them as well.

They accept pretty much everyone from the community colleges around here, and my GPA is well over what is required to get in. Decided I want to be a Chemistry professor at a University ultimately. I know a long road is ahead of me on this one, but I feel it will make me very happy.

Hello all, figured I'd chime in a bit here for the Daggsmeister. Brandi and I strangely became friends a while after she broke up with me, and are still friends now. It may stem from the fact that we were friends for a while, (2 years I think? Hard to remember as this was 12 years ago) before we started dating. We just talk off and on, and hang out on occasion. She of course has moved on since she's engaged to that guy she met after we were no longer together, and I have moved on as well. I'm not entirely sure what makes the friendship work, but I thought I'd at least be living proof that it's possible for Daggs.
Only taking 3 classes this semester as not enough people signed up for my Chemistry class and they cancelled it 3 days before the beginning of the semester. I'm only lacking 3 classes at the sophomore level, so no other classes were open that I could make times for. 2 of the 3 I am taking are online, and the other one is at the University Park, which is 3 buildings on the HP Main Campus that my community college bought out because they no longer needed them due to outsourcing.
Work has been the same ol' same ol', glad you're getting a pick-up in hours there Nick, it seems you're into that sort of thing. I'm still only working part-time so that I can focus on school.

I'd like to be more active in contests and whatnot but I've never really done them so I'm not sure how to get into that. I have a ton of stuff from Kamigawa Block through Future Sight, and some of the Worldwake era Scars type stuff but not as much. I bought 2 booster boxes or more of everything from Kamigawa - Future Sight, including a lot of Japanese and Chinese cards as well. I have some player rewards stuff too, foil textless ***'s, and a bunch of Textless cards, as well as Pre-Release cards from CoK-FS, and some game day or whatever cards too like the merit lage token and the Dimir, etc.
I have been G free for 7 days now, and it's pretty rough. As a heavy smoker for the last 10 years or so, I'm having a ton of withdrawal symptoms. Anxiety, Digestive problems, weight loss (kinda happy about that one), depression, crazy dreams, night sweats, the whole 9 yards. Just trying to hold it together and tell myself it will all be over eventually.
Anywho, I really enjoy all the stories here and would be sad to see it go for sure, so please please don't let it go! Whatever I can do to help I will.

Daggs: I feel like the limited tournament is going to whoever cracks Blightsteel Colossus, that guy is a nightmare! Also, the old school U/W deck I played ran Serra Angel and Winter Orb, with Icy Manipulator. I'm not sure if that still works, I think it does? but yeah it ran the diamonds (the mana artifacts) and the board control with Serra for the win.
Mythic Rares pretty much made me quit magic. I mean yeah of course they were around forever, but calling them mythic rares can make them cost up to $90 for 1 or whatever. That's ludicrous.

Hey Daggs, I have 3 of those wiener dogs and they can be totally off the wall sometimes. One of them is pretty skiddish and bit my 4 year old nephew on the face the other day because he got scared as my nephew rounded the corner of the table on all fours and got a bit too close.

I'm ready for whatever comes my way this year, I'm going to be transferring to a University in the fall, not sure which one yet, I'll be applying to a bunch of them. Decided to major in Chemistry because I love science and I think a career in that field would be right up my alley.
I haven't seen anything on this Arkham City game you guys are referencing to, although I am looking pretty hard into the DC Universe Online game coming out in a few days. I played the beta and it looks promising. Not a WoW killer, but a ton of fun with a lot of fun and quirky new ideas that I haven't seen in other MMO's before.
This is most likely coming around because of the huge secondary market for magic right now. Say you buy your whole deck off of Ebay, then run an FNM at a pizza shop. At no point is Wizards seeing any of this money, yet they're supplying everything else for free. If you hold all the FNM's in card shops, people standing around or between rounds can buy packs from that card shop. When I ran a card shop we did almost half our business during weekend tournaments. I can see how this hurts a lot of people, but I can also see it from Wizard's point of view.
My thoughts are with Daggs today, I'm picturing him stumbling around on a bum ankle and burning everything in his path out of anger, even though he said he's probably skip this one.
Cubed, you're a lucky man. For some reason, the local Electrical Engineering program decided its important to have an intensive writing English course for every year of my collegiate career.
Interestingly enough, I'm just working on my associates at the community college for now, so that's all that's required for the 2 year degree. I'm pretty sure when I transfer to my 4 year school half my credits won't count and all that BS, so I'll spend another 4 years there getting my degree anyway, which will probably involve a bunch more English classes. I'm not out of the woods yet
I'm about to start a research paper due in a month or so, 4-6 pages, on why I believe marijuana should be legalized. So yay.

Congrats on the date Dag, as for cheap dates I usually go with a matinee showing, and a medium priced restaurant (I like to be able to focus on the girl).
Dag, you'll for sure know when you've found the right girl, and the main thing to remember is your compromises. If you have to compromise too much you won't be happy, but if you're able to not compromise much (i say much because there's always some) then you'll stay doing the things you love and being happy.
Got an A on my second speech in class, the evolution of the english language was the topic I picked for an informative speech.
