Intimidator Initiate is infreakingcredible. It's one of the most sought after 1 drops in red along with frenzied goblin and the gameplay it provides explains itself.
Golgari thug seems like better for this than Stinkweed Imp. Every time I've drafted it the way I fill my graveyard usually involves blue or red's looting spells / fact or fiction/ compulsive research and not really dredgers or grisly salvage.
blind with anger is better than grab the reins since the threaten mode actually untaps the creature.
I play act of agression and mark of mutiny in my cube and they really work best in decks with sac than simple aggro decks. mark of mutiny + berserk is fun tho
If kingpin's pet is averaging 3 life drained per lifespan, it's much better than blind hunter because it's cheaper. Even at 2 life I like it much more, because it is cheaper.
Besides, I had a few too many instances where haunt wouldn't go off, or where I needed to recur a 2/2 flier that died but he was too busy being a ghost to care.
Cheaper is relative, if kingpin's pet is draining 2 life it's costing you a total of 5 mana, just over time. Kingpin's pet also doesn't have the same synergy with blink and the like.
Here's my white list the first 5 are the main cards that will bring me into drafting white, keeping in mind white is the color I draft least. the rest of the cards on the list are a mix between cards that are powerful by themselves and powerful because the density of synergy in my cube. I wanna make an honorable mention of Reconnaissance, it was recently added to my cube and has been pretty good so far, but i was timid to put it on my list.
I like O-naginata and I'd really like to try plaxcaster frogling but i struggle to find room for it at times, the mana costs are constraining its not as powerful as i'd like it to be. I really wanna put O-naginata in my cube.
I just drafted this with my cube which is a deck based around pumps and auras, but since i think theres only 1 hexproof creature in my cube it's difficult. maybe Plaxcaster Frogling would be something to help it
I think you first have to define what cards are considered legal and unbanned for the power core, not everyone in peasant wants to include everything. though i guess if you go best of the best then anything that could be considered a common/uncommon ever should be included, but that doesn't necessarily make the best constructed cube format.
I don't know fully about hexproof decks but i've been really enjoying ascended lawmage in a lot of my control decks. and one time I put an armadillo cloak on him
In my cube worm harvest has been drafted 3 times since I added it, none of those times was it drafted in a golgari deck, in fact none of the decks had both monogreen and monoblack cards. twice in a blue black control deck, and once in a green/white tokens deck.
Azure mage also works well in decks with countermagic. I don't always play countermagic when i play blue (in fact i rarely play it) but when I do i usually play 3-5 counterspells for redundancy and a decent amount of other things to do on my opponents turn with my mana.
