I recently readded Goblin Welder to my cube (big pet card of mine) and yeah Flash does seem like a great way to kickstart a Welder loop. Hadn't though of this... I'm considering it now.
IIRC it will check the last know loyalty. If you kill it with burn, it will alter the PT of the token to 0/0. If you Hero's Downfall or whatever in response, it doesn't shrink the token.
Cool card IMO. Very snowbally since the number of attacking rebels (missed the etb attacking part on first read) keeps growing and further phoenixes pick up at the point the older one ended. 5 mana is soooo much though.
This looks sticky and pretty strong tbh, but I think my white decks that play 6 drops would prefer Elspeth and I don't really think I need two white six drops. I'll be keeping an eye though, especially because I tend to misevaluate PWs.
I'm thinking of giving this a try to support a very light Naya Initiative theme given I already have Dungeoneer, White Plume and Undermountain Adventurer. Also might add Eladamri's Call to tutor up the pieces on curve. IDK.
Huh, what? Initiative is being played in Legacy and Vintage, so, looks like as "established" as a mechanic can get.
Also I meant Initiative instead of Adventure! My bad. Will edit.
Interesting PW. Makes some really large tokens on an uptick and has a Naturalize mode. 6 MV seems strong for a 6/6 plus a 6 loyalty PW. I'll keep an eye.
Testing: Cankerbloom
Considering: Nissa, Ascended Animist, The Eternal Wanderer, Sheoldred's Edict, Planar Disruption

Now that Initiative is pretty much established as bonkers, I think this card warrants its thread.
To those who play it, what are your impressions?
