I love these guys. With a Swiss army commander that also is an evasive finisher, you can jam the rest of the deck utility and removal spells. Your list needs a Seedborn Muse to abuse the crap outta those activated abilities!
A few hot swaps. Zo-Zu the Punisher, you've had a good run. You just too frequently end up dead by my spells before much punishing is actually done. Primal Amulet was something I wanted to test here. Discount on burn with fork potential is something I want. Molten Psyche is a forever on the fence card for me. It has won me games. If I don't have metalcraft it clogs my hand. If I lose metalcraft in response to casting the spell, not only does it lose it's teeth it gives new hands to my opponents. Enter Comet Storm. Instant burn I can keep my nose out of, yes please!
I've gotten some good mileage out of Praetor's Grasp. Combo isn't an issue in my meta but 3 mana to exile a Doubling Season or Darksteel Forge or something feels fair to me. And I've never been unhappy to draw Death Cloud. My Erebos deck has sort of retired but one card from Ixalan I wanted to test was Dire Fleet Ravager. A pox on all thy houses!
I am going for low cmc aggro and eggs build banking on the draw to 5 to keep the machine rolling. Think "Artifact Edric." Try for an early Psychosis Crawler and show some whittling skills.
I love this idea. You are running Perplex and Brainspoil, which is smart because they double as tutors for those delicious enchantments. Are the "pure" tutors left out on purpose? At the very least you need Diabolic Intent to capitalize on the soon to be exiled wizard. Also, this deck needs Vela the Night-Clad. You are already running Rite of Replication (that's 25 damage to each opponent on resolve) and creatures will be leaving your battlefield left and right. Plus, wizard!
I don't plan on going "All in" unless it's win the game time. If we hit land drops and follow the curve t4 or 5 Ghalta isn't unrealistic. We can hold back for the inevitable wipe while Ghalta keeps pressure applied. Ghalta will be a threat but my meta is full of threats. Our regulars are Atraxa, Sliver Hivelord, Arahbo, Animar, Sharuum, Doran and other equally competitive piles. If Ghalta eats removal we theoretically should be able to recover somewhat swiftly. The wraths will hurt. That's what I'm worried about the most.
In another fit of flip-flopping, the dorks are back on the train. They are terrible late-game top decks... but because of the vehicles and Ghalta's affinity they should pull their weight. Goldfishing is not playtesting but the 1 cmc spot is pretty light without them. So we shall see!
Myr Battlesphere was considered but at 7 mana, chances are they are coming out after Ghalta. I think at that point creatures need to ETB and do something other than affinity.Regal Force, Spearbreaker Behemoth, and Woodfall Primus are prime suspects for those slots. Ideally we drop Ghalta turn 4 or 5 and hold back for boardwipes. Overextending here will kill us.
Realm Seekers is an interesting card. Seems it would have a lot of value at most stages of the game and needs tested, for sure. The cards that are dependent on handsize or opponents I am wary. */* creatures like the Maros could get crazy. I'm just not sure if their effectiveness is worth the CMC.
2 colorless for 5 affinity is premium for the CMC but I think the creature would be offline 90% of most games. Curve is going to be important here and I want to continue to add pressure. I don't think this guy is right for the job.
I keep going back and forth on the ramp creatures. Wood Elves and Farhaven Elf, are they too low impact? I suppose testing will tell.
If you consider them don't forget about Yavimaya Dryad, which is sort of Wood Elves 2.0. With its power of 2 over 1 it might be even better in this deck.
On the other hand a turn 1 mana dork into 3 other mana dorks on turn 2 would mean you'd be sitting on 3 land mana, 4 dork mana and 4 power affinity by turn 3. So with another land drop you could burp out Ghalta, Primal Hunger on turn 4... but that's wishful thinking.
I came to a decision for my build and I think the train will roll on and leave the Manadorks home. Dryad Arbor, Drumhunter, Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, and Shaman of Forgotten Ways might be the only inclusions. An aggro list at heart with a huge beater in the command zone. One that cheats on taxes! I have a list that is ready for testing but the upcoming holidays and the 6 weeks left until RIX launches make good for back-burning projects. Still stoked for suggestions and spoilers to come!
I am in love. Would have been a flavor homerun if instead of "destroy target attacking creature" it gave "target attacking creature's toughness is reduced to 0."
Cause it's butt got bit off.

Lifecrafter's Bestiary, the green Rhystic Study, is definitely in. I love that card. See also Tireless Tracker.
