Zendikar Resurgent - Maelstrom Wanderer says hi. Cascade into that, draw a card when Wanderer enters the battlefield, then go berserk the following turn casting Wanderer twice.

You don't draw off wanderer. It's already cast
Matter Reshaper - I want to Sun Titan this so much. It will also make Mortuary Mire a better pick in draft.

For people saying the enchantment is good for animar, it's not. Honestly it's a little slow for animar. By the time they drop something for 7 it's usually game over.

It's sort of hard to find out what's real since everyone seems convincing and I don't have experience in this. In trying to learn more I often don't find what I'm looking for or if I do it often seems colored in some sort of lense that distorts it.

I can't seem to find the truth.

APurePhyrexia, forgive me the pointed question, but are these someone else's positions/arguments or your own?
these are replies I get from people I argue against. I don't really argue back because this topic isn't really my strong suit.

They also mentioned polar bears having black skin as some kind of rebuttal. Since it absorbs heat to help them stay warm. They also have two coats of fur (which is clear by looks white in the light) and thick layers of blubber underneath them.

Of course they also posit this article: http://www.stewartsynopsis.com/black_skin_is_the_genetic_parent.htm

They also mention the Eskimos who have dark skin and flat noses. I honestly don't know what to say about that one. I heard that people on the coast can afford to be darker because their diet is rich in vitamin D (from fish).

I guess so. They also go on to say how white is a recessive gene and that recessive means bad. The analogy was how a drop of white into black paint is still black, while a drop of black into white makes it no longer white.

They also note how white skin burns easier and other things like that. It's hard for me to argue because I'm not too familiar with all this

This was one of the replies I got when I tried to argue against it:

In science class their was a dominant and recessive gene. The dominant gene would replicate, the recessive was weaker. The story of Cane and Able has been told in other places as the Mother giving birth to both kids one being black one being albino. I am not saying albinism is weak, or white people are weak, because albinos are still black. Albinism and being White is different, but I use that to illustrate how black women can produce any shade of people. A black woman can conceive with a black man and produce a light child with golden hair and green eyes. A white woman cannot (on her own) produce a black girl with kinky Hair and a broad nose. The original mothers of earth would be the ones able to produce the colors of all 4 races. ( red, black, yellow, white , you can read about This in even Hopi traditions where the 4 races were often compared to the 4 colors of corn) Melanin is something black people have that gives them their hair, their skin tone. These are like you said natural adaptations. Melanin also exists in all consciousness in the world. Melanin is also close to melatonin... Which gives us the ability to dream and sleep. Black women are the original mothers. So of course the originators of this planet would have the things needed to survive. Hair that defies gravity but is thick to shield from the sun beaming down where they are from. The argument of the skin tone being suitable for the north, there are black people in the cold too. Also, the way the black woman's body is structured would allow her and her child to survive longer if traveling in more frigid weather being "thicker" with wider hips. In times of slavery white women often had the black women breastfeed their own children because they were unable to produce milk. The nostrils were made so that the thick heat and air in Africa would easily pass through. Even the agility of black people versus white people (of course their is a stereotype here but underneath it is some truth) was helpful in hunting. These are dominant genes. These are genes that are really helpful to survive on this planet. Our planet earth has a sun that does not harm black people. It doesn't give them sun burn and black people do not have as much skin cancer for this reason. What makes our skin able to sit in the sun, in cotton fields, around a fire dancing, playing sports for hours without sun screen? Melanin. What gives us our color. White people have the lowest amount of melanin making it recessive. (Look up pheomelanin) Its not a matter of who is better, it is a matter of who is better at SURVIVING. And that's all. Calling people cancer is really not cool. But in short, it's a "what is more useful" thing. Again, albinism and Caucasians are not the same.

But what about the claims that being an Albino in Africa was a genetic mistake?

Long story short this started with a comment I read somewhere on social media. It started with an offensive joke regarding dark skinned people. What got me though was the reply.

It was pretty savage. It was along the lines of the first white skinned person being the result of a genetic mutation. It went on further to say that the whole white race was the result of genetic mutations that wasn't supposed to exist in the first place. To go even FURTHER the reply states that the entire white race is the human equivalent of cancer.

That last part kind of stings. I never heard someone refer to an entire group of people as cancer. But surely that can't be right? That people with white skin weren't supposed to exist in the first place?

I mean that we justify violence against another group by using the whole "our cause is just" line.

And for the entertainment aspect, I was referring to things like boxing and football. Even first person shooters.

Friend of mine sent me the above link. While I don't totally agree with certain aspects of it, it got me thinking.

Violence seems to be a rather prevalent theme in our society. Lately you hear about bombings, shootings, all sorts of nasty things. Even when it's not tragedy it's in our games too. A good deal of what we play entails violence of some sort (not even justifiable at that). One only has to look at football to see how much enjoyment people get from violence.

Do such things cause us, or at least increase the risk, of performing violent acts? Why do we continue to do so? Why do we glorify it through justice? Or believing that our cause is right and the ends justify the means? Why do we partake in it for entertainment?

Does this notion of meaningful coincidence ring true for anyone? Or is it just some nonsense about people seeing patterns where there are none.

Wasn't really sure how to word the question on this one. Do you guys think that intuition is really as reliable as people say that it is? For what I know it's really just a guess about a certain matter, and such things like that can be wrong. I think that people who make the claim about following your intuition are quick to inflate the times they guessed right and to downplay all the times they guessed wrong as "thinking too much".

Also if it is based on our prior knowledge doesn't that make it even more likely to be fallible?

That being said I'll likely run her. Just because the art is so kick ass, and the zombie dragon, and the name, and because of the likely chance she is from Jund.

She *is* from Jund- they've already told us that Wink

Perfect. I can finally realize my dream of a deck with a Jund female. Excuse me, a non sucky jund female.

Upon further analysis, it seems I was a bit hasty and linear with my statements. I have brought shame to Phyrexia. I must be repurposed.
