I had it in an Oloro lifegain deck as well as a Kemba equipment deck. So far I took it out of Kemba and put in Coalition Relic as some extra mana ramp and I'm wondering about Oloro now. From the sounds of it it seems like it's pretty worthless if it's basically a worse Divination
Yeah I think as of right now I've decided to run Wrath of God, Divine Reckoning, and Martial Coup. I cut Terminus despite the fact it can tuck an enemy commander because my deck is centered around Kemba and I'd hate tucking her by mistake which can be easily envisioned. I know this isn't the decklist forum but if anybody is interested in checking it out here it is http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/02-01-15-kemba-edh/
In Kemba, the most efficient use of Trading Post is probably to sacrifice a cat token to bring back an equipment from your graveyard. If that's too slow/you're not having issues with needing to bring back equipment, I'd go ahead and test out Jazal, who brings a more aggressive edge to your deck.
Ah ok. Yeah I have Nahiri, the LithomancerSun Titan , and Buried Ruin all in the deck which helps to bring back blown up equipments so I will try out Jazal in place of trading post. Thanks.
Thanks for the advice guys. I do have one other question about my deck. How do you properly use Trading Post in a deck like this? I have been reading it's really good in artifact centered decks and I think I have something like 30-35 in mine since there's so many equipments. I have it in there right now but was considering cutting it for Jazal Goldmane
Not really a decklist so I figured main forum is best place to post. I'm running a Kemba equipment deck centered around equipping her to make a bunch of cats then pumping them. I have 3 board wipes in my deck right now - Terminus, Wrath of God, and Martial Coup. I am thinking of replacing two of them with Divine Reckoning and/or Mass Calcify.
My question is, is Terminus too risky to run in Kemba? I know it's a great board wipe for EDH but if Kemba gets tucked I'm hurt more than my opponent imo. Should I replace Terminus with Divine Reckoning perhaps?
Thinking about maybe adding High Sentinels of Arashin somehow. I think it would combo well with Ajani putting +1/+1's on my field, it could make him huge in one turn.
What do you guys think about Briber's Purse in this deck? You can play it for 0 to Ensoul it, it's another Shrapnel Blast target, and it also has some use as control when you play it for unused mana whenever.
What makes you say Preeminent Captain is bad? I feel like free creatures can never be a bad thing. Spend the open mana on pump effects, equipping, removal, then attack and play a creature anyway from Captain. I also kind of feel like Paragon is too expensive as a 2/2 for four. I considered him but think he will be too easily removed.
General theme is to flood the board with low costing creatures with the help of Preeminent Captain and Launch to Fleet. Buff them up with Spear, Obelisk, or Hall of Triumph and just keep swinging. Godsend to help get through stuff like Stormbreath Dragon. Ajani Steadfast is mainly in there for late game. His first ability couples nicely with a Godsend-equipped creature and his second ability can help add lethal damage to a huge army.
I thought about using stuff like Fabled Hero and Phalanx but don't have very many heroic triggers with just 4.
