I've yet to win anything outside of 2nd place in 2HG. I've only been to 4 or 5 FNM... We got good competition, netdeckers, and I'm usually in such a hurry to get there in time (last minute chances) that I don't properly sideboard. I haven't won anything except 4 DCI Underworld Dreams foils and a beanie. That was because I got partnered up with the best player in my area. I just got lucky.
When the pros play a deck an enormous amount of the magic playing community decide to make their own versions of said top 8 Pro Tour decks (seeing that decklists are always shown), or copy them card for card because people like winning. This owl thing you're talking about is the Owling Mine deck that by now has several variants. I prefer to make my own decks but I can understand why people would want to copy them, and modify them to their liking.
So you're one of the makers of MSE2? Well, first off, thanks a lot. The program is much better than the original. I love it! Consider for the next update making full art token frames along with the older ones. I like to make tokens in the old MSE but they were missing good gold borders, and neither program has a full art token frame. Until then I guess we'll have to photoshop, which is fine, but it'd save me a lot of work
Regardless of what the avatars do, I hope Chronatog stays as a visions avatar. I just hope he's not too broken because I want to be able to afford him. I'm tired of using the default avatars.
I doubt that poison counters will be in Guildpact, but I would be glad to see it's return. There are too few creatures that have poison, and I think it'd be nice to see some equipment that deals with poison. Imagine poison darts or something, along the lines of the shurikens from Kawigawa. I think poison counters would be more suitable in Time Spiral.
The chances of me ever getting a power 9 are more rare than getting a playset of every dual land and pain land ever made, and therefore I'm not sure what I would do for a power 9. I suppose I've never had one in front of me to have any thought about it run through my head. If I got ahold of one I'd either sell it or store it away to give to my son so he can sell it to get into college or something.
Here's my first Atog deck. It started out as a really crappy deck because I was still very new to magic when I made it, and slowly I morphed it into what it is now. Of course it's not perfect, but I like having an infinite damage/life gain combo in there. The sideboard is sloppy right now, but I really don't have a sideboard for the deck yet. This was just a quick thrown together sideboard, so suggestions are welcome. I would like to possibly include enchantment destruction? Is that possible with this set up?
