Just assume these are MTG cards with an Orica over them.

It just annoys me that Kamigawa or water world or other MTG-specific requests require all these hoops but UB isn't a problem. Money talks I suppose. But it doesn't bother me. I doubt they'll incorporate a franchise I like. We'll see. Should have known Secret Lair would get us here.

Speaking specifically to Kamigawa, I think that Maro mentioned somewhere that the plane polled INCREDIBLY poorly from a flavor standpoint (and not just because the cards were bad) so they're pretty loathe to revisit it. IIRC there was a rumor floating around about them revamping it to be a Japanese cyber-punk world or sommat but I don't remember if it was verified at all.

Nah it's the card mechanics in the block, regardless what they say. because how many would actually build decks with those mechanics after that block went to extended if those mechanics in those cards are really good.

The mechanics in Kamigawa were terrible compare to what before it and after it. If those mechanics were decent you would seen a lot of those cards in play after the format were it belong rotated, but no. It's terrible.

I love samurai but the mechanic are the worst they are the bottom tier.. compare that to equipment, soldiers, clerics, rebel, kor, boros and etc.

Samurai were supposed to be cooler than clerics if were talking about themes but the mechanic were terrible

The probably worth salvaging in that tribal was pale curtain, which has the same case to jutun grunt from another terrible set also like coldsnap.

Snake tribal, Oni tribal? SoulShift? Bushido? Offering? Shrine? Epic? those mechanics were dead on arrival even if they were on cards with art and names like part of the medieval or steampunk settings/theme. Those card with those mechanics isn't fun to play with even outside it's block nobody take them seriously not because of being japanese themed but they are terrible in play.

Nobody liked to build deck seriously with those mechanics after it rotated from standard compare to other block which Kamigawa era like Mirrodin, Onslaught, Ravnica and Alara.

Ninjutsu probably was the only decent mechanic that people still enjoys to play from that block.

Arcane could have also great but it's also lock in that block.

I have been waiting all of my life for a white creature that is a legendary human monk that shoots hadouken, do vacuum hurricane kicks and does a rising uppercut

I always wanted Capcom World to do crossover for MTG

    Capcom World

Capcom characters had been anywhere even in Fortnite

Anything that is hard to fake is better. Specialized foil are decent against counterfeit.

posted a message on A new Akroma and her Will- Ashlen Rose preview
Since I misread at first. I thought she was an improved version of Angelic Skirmisher with oldric like update and with partner.

It would had been better and helpful if she had haste and flash than trample and vigilance since she has already flying because she was meant to be more of a finisher card like everybody mentioned earlier and her support she isn't something reliable even Oldric had better support.

At least she better than Radiant. It's not a let down and waste like Radiant that is another legendary creature but rather another average that should had been rare than mythic

It might be the new design philosophy of WOTC for white. They could have made this better and given more edge they should had exciting and threatening since this isn't a standard and pioneer legal card nor modern. This Akroma just ended up like another Zetalpa but slightly better.

The crossover things is cool and done right with the Godzilla theme promotional cards but the walking dead one is what they done wrong because it was restrictive, confusing and limited which causes out rages online.

posted a message on Cards Banned for Racist Imagery and/or Text

Cleanse also seems an exaggerated reaction to me. "Destroy all black creatures." has in no way anything to do with violence against African-Americans or any other colored people... And I actually really looked at the artwork for the first time, noticed it's Phil Foglio and actually slightly amusing, as per his usual style (there seems to be a devil wearing jeans...).

Agree it's common sense that it wasn't about race it's a card color.

wait for some would say how about white and red? whats next?

environmentalist for cards that targeted green?

    how about marine life?

    animal abuse like peta?

feminist seeing pictures of angels being beaten in cards?

    Quote from Ritokure »
a "Crusader" in Standard right now. Maybe it's more the combination of the name and the unfortunate implications of "White creatures get +1/+1", but then again, when the concept of colors is a core component of your game, this is kind of unavoidable.

We had multiple arts of crusade they should had done it with the og art not the other cards.

there are even multiple meaning with crusade

a medieval military expedition, one of a series made by Europeans to recover the Holy Land from the Muslims in the 11th, 12th, and 13th centuries.
lead or take part in an energetic and organized campaign concerning a social, political, or religious issue.
"he crusaded against gambling in the 1950s"

So it isn't a offensive terminology as it was for the rest of the reprint.

    this is too much.
