    I think it was not just T2 but that includes other format and the only time for white to excel is the need to make better thing that it was not doing before.

    Could MTG make white creatures be still weenies and aggro but has a control flavor at the same time?

    Whats your point in here is the same with i mentioned earlier in this thread that it needs another Win condition i know ever one would agree with this.it besides from creatures and enchantment. plus we all know white is the color of defense but i think it should not be lock forever on that theme because of it that white is just turning a splash for other color.

    In terms of weenie thing in terms of aggressiveness red is more dominate than white in terms of late game green is much better and black weenie in terms of playability is almost same as white.

    When i saw the last card in MOR for white that is spoiled which was a enchantment tutor. I think creature tutoring should move to white. Since the potential and win condition of white lies on creatures and white really depends more on creature than enchantment.

    Plus enchantment tutoring does not really make a mono white deck excel(mono white deck is typical to be weenie). and enchantment tutoring is mostly better and demand on a blue control deck rather white which typically weenie. plus only blue takes advatage on enchantment tutoring while mono white traditional deck(weenie) do not.

    White should leave the controling to blue and in case white will control in terms of slowing down opponent they should put its control effects on creatures or rather than sorcery and instant. because all great white control cards where being abuse by other mostly by other color rather than it self and so it ends up white as a splash. White should be solid on its only hope and win condition which is creatures. If mtg won't allow white to have another win condition.

    Ok let say there is a white stax but the white stax is not as better as blue in control. White should have creature tutoring not only like the rebel mechanic but much more. like worldly tutor.

    No! I don't think so since its already mentioned is a graveyard theme but its likely zombies, wrait and vampires will have a chance and the rest won't continue (what i mean no tribal theme but the race and class will be).

    I'll explain. There are no Giant Soldiers on the plane of Lorwyn (Changelings excepted). None, nil, nix, nada, zero, zilch, they don't exist.

    We know that the banneret is half Soldier. So the odds of his remaining half being a Giant are not good.

    And if that's not enough to convince you, then consider the fact that Giants already have a "banneret"-type card in Stinkdrinker Daredevil.

    They are too solitary fighters to be soldiers from a block favour point of view. Even a kithkin supported card like Cloudgoat Ranger was a warrior so I think it is 99% sure the white banneret will be a Kithkin.


    I don't think so. Because lately before lorwyn there were giant soldiers. So there is still a posibility that it would be giants. Why? because giants need accelerator rather than kithkins which has small casting cost . I guess lets wait for another spoil.

    They have done more good weenies on the past blocks from charlequin.

    I think life gain wont able to make white as good as other colors.

    But it needs an a new win condition or new way to win other than creature damage and enchantment drop. Why? Since other color have many ways to win other than creature damaging.

    Or new ways of controlling (its being done but not enough) other colors not in terms of destroying(which is not white traditional) but making other color slow better than we currently have.

    and maybe mtg is still holding back other white possible better ideas due to it might be use by other color like armagedon. Since all white good control cards is abuse by other colors(red, green & especially famous with blue) and those color that splash great white cards become better than its mono version.

    I hope MTG can come out something better for white that other color will not able to abuse it on there deck rather than a white exclusive beneficial card that can make its color stand out.

    on non-standard there were a almost simlar card that were like wrath of god i don't exactly remember the name they were 2 cards: a remove all creatures in the game that were 5cc and destroy all creatures that can be played as an instant if you pay additional 2 but 5cc i think it slow but its ok for an alternative wrath of god.

    I think white needs more of a combo card or more speed burster. To make it to its own.

    You can see this in the fact that R&D tries to push white weenie almost every set, but does so by printing 2/2s for :symw::symw: and other solid, inexpensive creatures. Of course, this strategy almost never pans out because efficient 2/2s simply can't compete with broken 5/6s for 2 or combos that go off on turn 4.


    You're right they definitely pushing thru like serra avenger and those low white cc in fs. but its seems they can't.

    I believe that ballyrush will be a white giant soldier. Kithkin can't really be brotten down on the cc that much already and giants need more help coming out quicker.
    I agree. I think it will be a giant with 3cc or greater and an uncommon with a decent ability.

    I think the best white card for the magic to build a deck around was nothing but only armageddon.

    Whites small creatures are inferior to greens creatures.


    I don't think MTG will do those.

    Whites mass removal is equaled by black


    What do you mean mass removal of creatures? I think white has alot of those that equates blck other than wrath of god.


    Kithkin IMO are a waste of cardboard space.

    They are small, lack evasion, and require over extension toe effective.


    I think lets give MOR a chance for kithkins.

    The only problem in white is they were to dependent to win by creature damaging and nothing else unlike blue, red, green(it has a player damage and more aggresive) and black. I guess by using artifacts could be the be solution to add flavor. but still wizard continue to release bad cc cost cards for white.

    Ok lets face the truth white cards should be aggresive not a late game bombs since late game are blue(can white stand away with blue in late game) and green(can be also aggresive) forte.

    I guess the only way to make white competitive is to be a splash color or multi deck with blue or red. I won't expect to much decent aggresive cards in white in SHA since i think the block will be centered on black or green color.

    But i think solid mono white kithkins deck on standard can be played well right now but in other format i think its not that competive to stand a chance.

    Not when in extended you already have Steelshaper's Gift as an instant.
    i think its sorcery dude. I agree with your point.

    I think its powerfull for an equipment deck and effective but the thing is equipment deck is an aggro deck which should kill on 5th turn or less and this giant dude usefullness was on 6th turn which makes him slow for a equipment deck that is aggro. i think this dude have place on standard for a while.

    is this merely a closing statement to wrap up the article or is he hinting that giants will reward equipment more, and will be the equipment interactive tribe?

    if you think it's the direction wotc is going, what are the possible rewards you can think of?


    They should print more equipments that were tribal in the next block to make it more effective theme because in MOR number crunch there were few equipments.

    and I think it will be kinda like Mirrodin creatures interactions equipments but not as good like the mirrodin creatures and most of the giants that will get those ability will be warriors, wizards, shamans & other least class tribe.
