    how about planeswalker enchancer.

While I could see it happening at some point but....

    1. I don't see Wizards doing equipment themes two blocks in a row. Zendikar seems to only have a equipment sub-theme but it would still feel very repetitive.

May be it won't be called an equipment if its meant for planeswalkers

    2. The problem with player equipment is that there is almost no difference between an equipped player equipment and a regular artifact. It does however create a memory issue, is it equipped to you or not.

but maybe exclusive for planeswalker use only other then the player

Since Zendikar has already the equipment theme for creatures.

Do you think its possible to get Pure Mirrodin Block

Would also get another equipment theme but different from the usual equipment theme instead it is equiped for the players and planeswalker for enhancing there abilities.

Like the Legendary Equipment in MTG Universe

    Mirari Sword in Onslaught

    Celestial Sword

    Sword of Asha

Meekstone, Heartstone, Mightstone, Touchstone, Lotuses and etc as Bracelet or Headdress.

    Example

    Neclace of Mightstone
    equip 2

    All creatures you control gets??

    or

    Bracelet of Lotus

    Equip 4

    Mana produce ????

    and

    Sword of Mirari

    Equip 3

Everything you spell you cast gets...

I think it wont be a soldier

I think it would be impossible(and really really broken) for mono white creature that is also soldier that is 2cc that would gave its comrade, tribal or color matters creatures to gain +1/* stuff. cause it would be a broken stuff.

My bet it could be a knight and its casting cost would be greater than 2cc and it would never give +1/* stuff but instead be an Equipment Stuff RELATED

    Remember Auriok Stealshaper

Armament Master Cost 3cc or Greater
Creature type- Knight/Warrior/Spellshaper with an Ally type

    Ability equip related

Maybe a Leonin Shikari(instant equiping) and Auriok StealShaper(1 less equipng) fused in 1 card

Might give +1/+1 to all equipped creatures

or the same that pikachu1 mentioned

power and toughness is 2/2 or lesser

and it would never get any first strike, vigilance or etc.

A bit disapointing on mtg cards and ff

I thought they would make all the planeswalker or make a tribal representative for the cards.

Only few FF characters were there no squall and cloud Frown

    but still fantastic.

I'll grant you that the art looks vaguely similar, but I would think the WotC logo would be somewhere on the page if it was related. This is probably just some random dragon.

On a side note, does anybody remember FF8 and FF9 had card games?
I always thought it'd be cool cross-promotion to put magic as a card game in an FF. WotC would get to make a small set (like coldsnap) based around the FF world in question, and FF would get a much better card game. I think that would definitely help magic sales, but maybe magic would be a bit complicated to fit in an FF.

That would be a dream come true i just wish it would and it won't be just a movie i wish it has also real life cards.

Cloud, Squall, Tidus and those summon cards like bahamut and odin.

    Nice colaboration

Cool new cards specially the new anthem crusade style with cool casting cost!

I like the Veteran armorer for its casting cost than Veteran Armorsmith!

The Veteran Swordsmith is a very potential specially it equates it power to its cost.

    I don't think so.

All of the core sets had some degree of "tribal matters" type cards that would pump Tribe X or whatever, and they'd be surrounded by a collection of cards in the core set that would get pumped or interacted favorably with the cards.

I think that (With the exception of white, which basically got SUPER linear) this isn't much different than previous cores.

    Quote from JinxedIdol
Tribal Cards will always be part of magic, ever since Alpha Days.
So, that is not a hint to anything at all.

Yeah! Agree and i think they just update the lord of the tribals on this core sets. Ever since the early core sets there were Kobold, Goblin, Elf, Zombies, Merfolk tribes has always appear on every core sets soem of them were absent on the latter core set but goblins, zombies and elf was traditional in the core set like 7th-8th-9th-10th!

I think the just change the lords to more usable and suitable for the next upcoming block.

Okay, so if you look at the M10 spoiler there are a number of new lords. This is nothing to get excited about, because this happens every core set.
Green = Elf lord. Nothing special here.

I think Zen is more Human or Classes theme more like Shamans while Elf, Goblins and Zomibies would be just mini tribes as like the past expansions.

Red = Goblin lord. Again, same w/ every core set.

    Maybe Barbarian, Berserkers or Warriors.

Black = Zombie lord. Again, not unusual.

    Maybe Mercenaries and Minions

Blue = Merfolk lord. Now this one's rather interesting. See, to me it indicates that they're really trying to solidify Merfolk as Blue's go-to tribe via putting it in the core.

    Wizards again

White = Soldier lord. This one really isn't notable because it requires no support outside the M10 which features plenty of Soldier cards and benefactors.

There to much already semi Soldier lords for m10 i think there won't be any soldiers by more likely Knights and Clerics.

So, really from this I'm wondering if we'll see Merfolk in Zen?
Aside from the lord there are only, what?, 2 Merfolk. Seems kind of silly to print a lord that won't have anything to support.
Then again, look at Lord of the Undead in 10th edition.

I hope we'll see more Merfolk in ZEN because I would love to be able to play Merfolk again.

Merfolk creatures does appear as few cards on early mtg editions.

[COLOR=blue]@Ernart - If you take the time to read what's already been said in this thread,

By the way i am one of the first poster in this thread and i have read some from the start and the last.

    Quote from RivetMage

White is the most defensive color (supposedly) and so 60% of it's spells should be so, whether the creatures have more toughness than power, protection from stuff, or special counters against damaging spells and so on. Memory lapse is a good example of this, and Wrath of God is not.

60% of its spells should be defensive like instants, planeswalker, enchantments and sorcery but not its creatures cards like valiant guard it is poorly design.

    Quote from Ihsan
*** is very white. More than being a defensive color, white is the "equalizer". This has been shown time and time again. In addition to Wrath effects, we have Armageddon effects, Balance effects, Moat effects, Windborn Muse effects(A.K.A."tax" effects), the list goes on. looking at white like that, we can see that *** is very white, as it puts everyone on the same playing field.

I hope the equalizer concept of white should be push thru on "cards on hand control".

    Quote from Horseshoe_Hermit
The problem is that White is boring.

This isn't anything about it being 'soft' or it being 'the defensive one'. It's the fact that its Pie is that it's the "good guy" and nobody wants to be that lame-o.

It's not "White is good", it's White is the good guy, or maybe the word is 'nice' guy. We the players don't want to be tools; and we really can't wrap our heads around the idea of sticking to community values when it's a head-to-head mages' duel to the death. Colours like Black and Blue and Red just make sense here and White doesn't.

If they could fix up this problem, of appeal - figuring out why people would still use White's magic in the scenario a game puts you in, they might have something.

I have to go, so don't be too rough on attacking my incompleteness, please.

Agree that is one of the problems of white a common thinking how could i win with a white deck if its soft and only a support color or a wiper/reset color i might as well go black(control and offensive) or red(totally fast offensive) or blue(if i want total control and combo) or green(totally combo and aggresive)

while white is lacking of control, lacking of combo, lacking of agressiveness.

Then i may just use few cards like wrath of god and god to much more on other colors like blue.

Agree its not about the good guy, nice guy, soft, defensive, one what white needs is a what of its especiality another better win condition that won't be abuse by other colors or better or another offensive strategy.

Right now white acts better as a splash, support or minor addition onto other decks than being main color of a deck on its own even the white stacks relly on too much artifacts :-(

I think purple wouldn't have any chance it as a color of magic with casting cost of its own and mana.

It would on remain as a rarity nothing more.

[COLOR=blue]@Ernart - If you take the time to read what's already been said in this thread, you will see plenty of reasons why, philosophically, white should NOT be as aggressive as the "mindless beatdown" colors (red and green).

I'm not saying it should be mindless beatdown during last few years before kamigawa white was never been mindless even its aggressive that point i am saying its should be aggressive is on the casting cost of the a creature since a typical white is a weenie deck so its the casting cost and power of a creature is my concern thats why i reacted on Valiant Guard

White can play aggressive with out the mindless approach or play more support on aggressive color like red and green or with creatures since white its own is weenie than as a support color for control decks.

What white needs is a support on its own playability or theme whether its weenie or semi control like you said on the Monostax that was more dependent on more artifact than the color its self that is the problem with white.

While other useful white cards were just useful to support and abuse by majority control blue decks which is bad!

Whites philosophy leads it to an aggro-control approach, which means using creatures to beat down while stalling the game. Cards like Glowrider, Meddling Mage and Gaddock Teeg (the last two of which, while not monowhite, could easily have been so) are a prime exemple of this category, which has been sadly underrepresented in past sets. That's also why I am very excited about white getting Memory Lapse - it's an effect that plays right into this strategy.

Agreed it the same saying yo desire a white aggresive but not mindless thats why i reacted on the post of Masked_Legend that white creatures should cost 3 or more which if creatures cost like that it would not agro based anymore.

being protection is not bad i have never been disagreeing with protection stuff as long as it cost 2 or less 3 is fine but 4 is lame for a creature card.

Valiant guard is also not a good potential white creature.

To be fair, I think Soldiers are lame.
I'm all for Knights as the white main race. Knights are classical and fit perfect to "Magic".

Because thats what the RnD wants to do to to make it lame. knights simply like they do the same to the rebels, kithkins and samurai from the past.

tribal soldiers deck were not lame but against a typica white weenie deck or even the knight ones. Thats why they trying make lame soldier cards to stop empowering its tribe deck while forcing white aggro players to use random aggresive creatures for there white weenie.

They don't care to much on knights(unlike kithkins, rebels and especially soldiers) on being empowered since was not as organize as other color tribals like goblins, zombies and elves.

I trust me RND does not want white to go solid on soldiers.

Since soldiers were suppose to be the main white tribal but its like there going to humans i if you're seeing how they shaping the tribal system and turning soldiers that way( a control deck add on ).

and this kind of release cards for white soldiers would continue until the next expansion it would become non aggresive play but a defense card.

I would like to see more protection from instants,

White has already too many good defenses if its instants, sorcery and enchantments

Those cards were made to be good add-on or support for control blue and black deck but not on its closes main theme like green and red which are AGGRESSIVE.

protection from creatures with power 3 or more, protection from cmc 2 or less and so on. that would be nice and give a bit more stability to some small creatures.

Why would it be 3 or more would be good for white even if it has protection? a slow creature is always been bad for white since if you realise white only main win condition to a game lies on ts CREATURES which is his only means of winning is by attacking unlike other colors.

Making it slow is just killing white much more. White should not be just a support color for other colors because if that happens its just making white look lamer in general if it going to control theme.

White control cards if already good white lacks right now is offensive cards since its only offensive method is by attacking. i'm not hoping for a direct damage card but for other win condition or if white can't provide that way they should go more on its old theme aggresive.

White creatures specially soldiers was suppose to play weenie and aggressive but not a control support card like this one Valiant Guard

Last time when i saw previous soldier cards they are becoming slow(cost 3-or more this time there just begining to be support cards for control decks.

Poor white soldiers its loosing its grace as an aggressive tribal but becoming a control support cards.

I guess this crap would continue for the soldier tribal or worst they would only release or 2 white soldier on 1 expansion and knight would be the centerfold.
