I generally don't read peoples blogs here, or blogs in general. I have read maybe 4 blog entries on this forum since they appeared.
But I went out of my way to read this one.
Various random IQ tests clock my IQ at about 185. Yet best I muster in life is working fixing printers over the phone while people yell at me. Being smart, I do amazingly well at it, but cannot get ahead.
The world is made by and for the average. Very rarely can an above average individual get anywhere of merit, because we are all square pegs trying to fit in round holes. Schools AIm to give A grades to those who can work the hardest at the C grade material. And we get lost in the shuffle. Even beauty is really about how average you are. Beuaty is judged on symmetry, and familiarity. Barbie dolls and Fashion magazines tend to exagerate and warp the idea of average, so we fawn over unattainable goals in the media. But in the end, 95% of us reach for and fall in love with those whom are the most average.
Average people; the average person feels the most comfortable with an average person, but strives for the media warped god or goddess. it is sad, but alas.
Even Universities and colleges are designed for the average. Those with above average ability tend to get labelled as having learning disablities, whichever one is the curse dujour. Einstein had Dyslexia and failed Highschool math, nowadays the easy prognosis for the square pegs is ADHD, then med them up until their corners are rounded enough to fit in the hole. I was diagnosed with ADD and Dyslexia as a child (actually not ADD, but a variant. Closer to Autism) I was lucky and avoided the meds after the first year. School was still a pain, and I was still a square peg. But I learned what was a disability really was not, and when I learned to use it I discovered I could keep alot of different subjects and ideas going on in my mind at a time. My problem was not that I was unable to focus on the world around me but that the world around me was far to simple.
Life is about making mistakes. We make loads of them, they are necessary to learning. They are necessary to the way the wrld works. Even at the biological level, life makes mistakes and the beings who cannot handle the mistakes they are handed die off due to natural selection.
The mistakes we make are much the same.
We have a choice with each mistake we make (assuming it was not such a bad one we erased ourselves from the gene pool) ; A) Learn from it and become better for it B) Say **** it and give up. B leads to repeating the same mistakes over and over, doing the same things again and again, getting the same results.
There is a saying about a person who does the same thing over and over expecting different results ; that is called being crazy. That is 99% of the world, and as long as a person lets themselves fall into that demographic ; they are average. The only way to be above average is to fit in that remaining 1%
Anyways ; I always respected you and thought you were awesome, regardless of whether I have had much chance to really speak to you.

Just letting you know while the nuns were flogging you I managed to grab that nickle...and it was a buffalo.
You should send me your address, I promise each year for christmas to send you one normal modern nickle to make up for the one I denied you of. Besides, I belive it is just to pay for good entertainment when I see it, and I appreciate a good nun-flogging. You saved me weeks of therapy.
Do you have a good recipe for Gespacho? -
Sep 11, 2007Sakura posted a message on And so it begins...The body has trouble digesting most seeds as is sweety. It is an awesome start and they mix well on alot of foods. If you have a blender, put them into some shakes and such. That will break them up so your body can digest them better.Posted in: Hall of Enigma
They are good on salads and make good cookies.
I prefer capsules if you can find them -
Apr 25, 2007Sakura posted a message on My own little Future Sight. That is a really cool idea, ether. It is alot of fun to do actually, I have friends who rescue animals and such. I recommend going the legit route (as you seem to be doing, and making a career) then just as a personal private thing. The later will turn you into a cat-lady.Posted in: Ether uses Gigagash!
:ducks the onslaught of hurled cats:
I definately wish you luck. I love animals too, and have thought of these professions as well at times. -

I am a really good judge of people, yet manage to become blined to stupid things on net relationships. I am trying to mend things with Elisha. i doubt she will see me as two timing, we already had the understanding we would see other people if we liked...no strings. We weren't even serious. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
That is why I asked him that
Yes sweety, it definately does. I am glad we could resolve this. I would have been really sad to lose you as a friend. As I stated in my reply PM, even the best of us make stupid decisions. Especially those of us whom do not always fit in when faced with a chance to belong. Lord knows I have done it, and then felt pretty soulless afterwards. The first 32 years of my life have been exactly that.
It was fun making the Mothguys hand disintegrate.
And I really think Le Gambit just assumed you had followed Clownfish in as a Troll/Flame. I have alot of "fans" as of late.
Without, its a really bad Fireball.
Not sure why he infracted the one offering advice really. While I think Billy was attempting a subtle troll, some of his points were valid.
PM me to remember to give it to you when I get home. I have MSN and AIM

Doubleposting exists and is allowable on forums because the software is/was too limited to allow multiquoting...and now it has just become a bad habit.
It is easy to break up different responses in your post. use *********** or whatever to separate them or make it clear with or @ symbols who or what the response it towards.
In the end it is actually neater, cleaner and easier to read than double posting. Since posting on MTGS I have since learned to loathe sites where I have to double post to respond to more than one person. It is a pain. You get through the first page of a four page discussion and click quote for someone and it opens a reply window, and you have not even read the rest of the thread. In debate for example, if I wanted to follow up and respond to five people I just made five posts in a row.
That is just clumsy as hell.
???
How does being a Planeswalker make him at most a $5 card? That make now sense. That is like saying Goblin Welder should only be $5 because he is a creature and very few creatures are useful in Vintage. Tezzeret is a house in Vintage. He pitches to force of will and Tutors and Enables Time Vault or any of the tech artifacts in Vintage you would need. You cannot even clame that for 5 mana he is unplayable, this is a format where Mind's Desire and Yawgmoth's Will are so castable and game breaking they need to be Restricted. If you have a Voltaic Key in play, Tezzeret wins you the game the turn you play him; if you don't have key he wins a turn later. He is sick because he only costs 5, can win the game on his own, or dig you up all sorts of utility to shut your opponent down.
The fact he is a Walker is actully even better than any other permenant because alot of staple Vintage removal cannot touch him.
Play Tezzeret, fetch Time Vault, take a turn, untap it on free turn...repeat, swing with moxes in a few turns. Added bonus of enabling storm by untapping stuff and fetching all sorts of toolbox stuff like needles and crypts.
He is the single most poswer Vintage card I have seen printed in ages. No card have I seen in a long time has had the "counter me right now or lose" stamp so firmly afixxed to his face. And 5 mana is not that hard in the format. Buy as many of these as you can. As a Mythic that will have Vintage players chasing it (who do not need to bu\y new cards often so tend to have more budget), expect Tezzeret to be worth a mint.
Your version of Pulse is actually more broken than mine, it actually would make Painter even more a force in Vintage and Legacy. Some for of artifact heavy Painter deck would break it. Painter set green, Pulse, play artifacts for free.
The third ability doesn't matter...and when it does its game ending.
I'd love to drop him and then use him to drop out an Ensnraing Bridge.
