Other things to consider is if you plan on keeping your opponents off having creatures any card that makes you the monarch from Conspiracy 2 would be good recurring CA.
Strionic Resonator+ Paradox Engine and at least 2 mana from non-land sources =infinitely untap all non-land permanents you control.
How it works is, copy engine's untaptrigger with it on the stack by activating resonator, then let the copy resolve, untapping the resonator then repeating indefinitely identical to how [[Brago, King Eternal]] loops with resonator
I don't know of a ton of enchantments that specificly reference a color, but one thing you could look into is Zur Slide, looking to abuse Astral Slide and cycling cards. Some of the cycling cards might reference colors more then enchantments.
Boonweaver Giant + gift of immortality makes infinite mana with Altar. best part is you don't even need gift in your hand to combo. play Giant, search for gift make arbitrary amounts of mana.
I don't think that works. He comes back at the beginning of the next end step. If you sac him during the end step, he won't be around until the NEXT end step.

to answer your questions https://www.reddit.com/r/CompetitiveEDH/ is a reddit designed for competitive decks, no holds bard win at all (allowed) costs. they often utilize cockatrice and if you sign up for the for their "discord" program they gather every Tuesday i think about 9pm to test new brews. check them out sometime.
So My LGS plays 2HG competitive EDH/commander every Thursday, my friend tends to play heavy combos, such as Prosh, Skyraider of KherFood chain or Marath, Will of the Wild Kiki combo, and sometimes just good ol' reanimator so to aid in the fight, I decided to play basically a mono blue counterspell.dec I initially had Jace, Vryn's ProdigyHigh Tide but wasn't happy playing it, just felt to limited in its scope (even though that's the point). Anyways, then WoTC released the beauty of Thrasios, Triton Hero and I was happy that I got a decent infinite mana sink. basically I'm curios if you here think it would be worth it to run counterspell.dec with Thrasios, Triton Heroat the helm. and basicaly have 2-3 ways to make infinite mana, with everything else in the deck being counter spells and card draw/selection. essentially I want to run Thrasios, Triton Hero as a Mono Blue commander with the ability to splash a few regrowth effects and have a way of achieving infinite mana.
The secondary win condition (Assuming my partner is unable to pull off they're ideal combo) would be something like Blue Sun's Zenith as it shuffles back into my library each time i cast it I can continue to draw it at instant speed off of Thrasios, Triton Hero and mill out our opponents.
My Meta seems to be heavy combo, decks generally include, Azami combo/control, Leovold wheels/Doomsday, Grenzo Doomsday, Sisay Reanimater, JVP High Tide, Prosh Food Chain, Zur Doomsday, Yidris Storm, Jeleva Storm, Derevi Stax, and a few other random decks, these are the decks I see fairly regularly, there are a slew of other decks that show up 1 week and are gone the next, but these lists are fairly common.
I don't have an exact deck list yet as I haven't built it yet, but I am basically going to copy my JVP list and modify the mana slightly and add the few card changes. Mainly adding 1-2 more infinite mana combos.
It might have been mentioned but I didn't see it in the list. ezuri, claw of progress with 5 or more experiance counters and Sage of hours equals infinite turns.
Basically what the title states, what would be the three decks/strategies/commander's you would bring to a large even like a GP where there are 4 player pods and maybe 2HG being played for cash and prizes. Utizing the information that it you play scion the Ur Dragon people will put you on Hermit Druid ect.
Just trying to decide what i should start assembling to farm commander side events at the next couple big events.
Currently I'm thinking Jeleva/Zur Storm, Derevi Stax and Tasigur/Leovald combo/ ontrol.
I think lotus pedal would be fine, as its a 1 shot effect and there isn't a lot that can abuse it at 1cmc. But the P9 moxen are repeatable mana advanatages in color which is better then something like sol ring that only makes colorless unless of course your running Artifacts based deck

It does and here is sequencing. In play Ashnods Altar.
Step 1. play Boonweaver Giant
step 2. Boonweaver Giant activates, getting Gift of Immortality from your library and attaching it to Boonweaver Giant.
Step 3. Sacrifice Boonweaver Giant to Ashnods Altar generating 2 colorless mana.
Step 4. when Boonweaver Giant dies Gift of Immortality triggers, returning Boonweaver Giant to the battlefield. Boonweaver Giant triggers searching your hand, Graveyard or library for an Aura card and attach it to Boonweaver Giant. Pull Gift of immortality from the graveyard to the battlefield attached to Boonweaver Giant.
repeat steps 3 and 4 netting 2 colorless mana each time you do it. on the final time you can grab any Aura you want from your library, hand or graveyard and at the begining of the end step Gift of Immortality will still return for more shenanigans next turn.
The secondary win condition (Assuming my partner is unable to pull off they're ideal combo) would be something like Blue Sun's Zenith as it shuffles back into my library each time i cast it I can continue to draw it at instant speed off of Thrasios, Triton Hero and mill out our opponents.

Current JVP list. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/template-for-triton-hero/
Budget is not an issue, I just want to know if I can get a better build.

EDIT:
plus you could run awaken cards and cards like Sylvan Advocate
Edit:
B/W Clerics lead by Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim
And mono-white Knights lead by Tivadar of Thorn (or angels)
Or Bant Spirits
