@Aegraen And while I dont always agree with Jex, he knows this deck inside and out so if he says something works I test it before responding because I am sure Jex has. And for the recording you disagreed without any facts or thoughts backing it up which was not only condescending but dismissive at best.
If we're on the "Played this deck for ages train"...you should check my post history, and I can back it up with SCG results as well if you want. I've played Control (and UWR) for ages in modern. If your main win-condition is snapcaster + burn, that's not a viable winning gameplan. You're just a bad burn deck at that point. Yes, in the terribad MU's you're forced to try to race because that's your only option...but what does that have to do with the overarching gameplan of the deck? If you're solely relying on burn as your win-con, you're just a bad burn deck. If you're not playing other ways to pressure your opponent that is not a winning gameplan in Modern. Esper is far better a draw-go deck than UWR is, and Esper is not a good deck in Modern.
There's a reason UWR draw-go is a dead archetype in Modern. It gets worse when you lose one of your best MU's in Twin, a deck I might add that kept down a lot of our bad MU's. You need to adapt to a meta in which Tron, Scapeshift, Eldrazi, linear combo (Ad Naus/Storm/Living End/etc.), is a significant part of the meta, as well as low to the ground decks like Zoo/Burn/Affinity/Infect/etc.
You need a line of attack to pressure the big ramp strategies, and relying on Burn + Snap as your avenue of attack will mean these MU's will be 25-30/75-70 at best. If your goal is to win large tournaments, building your deck in this way only lines you up for failure. This is why I brought up needing a way to pressure opponents, and Geist/Resto/Pia being some of the best we have in our colors. Maybe even the new Goblin Darkdwellers can be decent as a 1 of curve topper. You're going to want to play Cliques and Mindcensors. You're not going to be successful playing 4 snaps and the rest reactive cards. Playing more proactive things in conjunction with mana efficient cards that have gotten better post-ban (spell pierce, spreading seas, etc.), is a much better path for the deck.
But sure, go with Jex and the failed formula of yore that's been beaten to death as if years old video of a huge upset is the way to build the deck...(UWR is like 10-90 against bogles at best).
Yay, twin gets banned, and our thread gets jacked by guys like this.

I'm considering replacing Baneslayer with another Blood Baron.
I'm running 1x Sword...but i dont' know, i'm not sold on it. I'm thinking for someting else.
About Tron: 4x Rain of Tears / Fulminator Mage and 2x Sadistic sacrament 2x Stony silence and can be done. Still hard tough.
About your last question: people in modern don't test in my opinion. But honestly biggest problem in this deck is that miss a low-mana hitter, like Goyf.
I'm playng with success Soulflyer, from Fate Reforget.
Is not goyf but helps.

Any news on who is going to get the primer?
Yesterday i taked our BW in a small tournament, went ok i suppose:
- T1 vs Restore Balance 2 - 0
A really tough g1: Seize on Violent outburst geve me enough tourn to hit him and playng liliana.
He played restore balance and i keept only Lily. At that point i kept 2 land in hand: two turn later i played Soulflayer and 4 damage at the time i won.
G2 in: 2x Sadistic Sacrament 2x Stony Silence out: 3x Path to Exile 1x Tidehollow sculler
A piece of cake: land, IoK on Violent outburst, Land, Pack Rat, land Sadistic Sacrament on Restore Balance. GG.
- T2 Esper Mill 2 - 1
G1 i keept a strong hand but with hig risck of mana screw: only mutavault and Godless Shrine.
Liliana of the veil, Phyrexian Arena, Pack Rat, IoK, Toghutseize.
Land, Iok on random mill, Land, Seize on Snapcaster, no land, then i started mutavault attack. Two turn like those, then he saw Path to Exile, i was dumb enough to search in the library, Archive Trap and in a few turn game was over. 0 - 1
G2 in: 3xLeyline of Sanctiry (eh eh eh eh) out 3xPath to Exile
Perfect hand: 6x Random card 1x Leyline...(was ok, i dont' remeber all cards but like 4 land, discard, creature and something i was blinded from leyline!)i started game with it, the guy looked me, thinking, looking his heand, still tinking, like...40 second of silence. Suddenly "i didin't see that caming. I give up." and he started to side again, for sure looking for Desenchant. 1 - 1
G3
I knew that leylyne and discard was the point. I take a 5 card mulligan: an hand of s**t ...exept for (land, Iok, Lelyne, Baneslayer angel, Pack Rat)
Leyline, then Iok.
He kept playng, probably for Ecoing Truth, but i saw, some turn after, 2 lands, then Pack Rat did the rest. 2 - 1
T3 Naya Zoo
G1:
I kept a good hand, discard, removal, 3 land, some stuff, by i swear, by turn 3 the game was over o.o.
I was against Nacatl 3/3, Kird Ape 2/3, loam lion 2/3, Goblin guide 2/2 Goblin guide 2/2 and the land who gave duble strike. I mostly watched him plaing against nothing...and i knew that g2 wudunt' be so different.
G2: In: 2x Wrath of God out 2x some slow stuff
This time game was better: his star was normal, with an onest nacatl and an ape secon turn...nothing unbeateble. I discarded an helix, he did anoter creature 3 turn. Then i used wrath, he was with a path and bolt i think, and i was quitly sure that i can so something. after that, he saw loam lion, i didn't saw more removal or liliana...and i lost.
T3 Mono G infect
About that i was just unluky i guess.
G1 bad dice roll, he strdet, drop 1 with infect, ok.
I did Path before he can do something else like hexproof or protection.
Then he passed, i was all happy and then i use Seize on him. He haded a 3 drop infect but just 2 manas and no land, i had anther path so i left that. Only problem he haded 1 postole blessing and 1 instant cmc 1 that gave +1 +1 and hexproof (and that one with phyrexian mana that gave +2+2).
I was on board with pack rat and one mana open, he topdeccked cmc1 elf with infect =_= form there was a disaster.
G2 in: Wrath of God 2x out 1x Utter End (yeah i'm playng that and i like it u.ù) and 1x banelayer angel
No luck here...mulligan at 5 with only 1 colorless mana. Game loss widout playng.
------------------------------------------
I was thinking that we shoud write some accurate MU analysis because honestly it's what this trhead miss.
I was totaly unprepared against zoo actually...in my meta, and in general, becamed a rare deck. With affnity it's different, we have stony silence, but only 2 wrath sometimes can be not enough against that kind of fastness.
What guys do you think?

Play a lot and understand if is for you, then you shoud probably choose wicht competitive format do you like.
Personally i believe Standard is the best for new players: card pool is limitated but you can have still fun in it creating your own deck.
The approach on competitive can be hard at the beginning, so delay this choose for a while and play for fun until you feel that you're ready.

Remand is the same...unless you're countering a really high CMC spell (like sphynx' revelation or wathewer), but still, on the final bolt/path/etc it's just a waste of mana.
Here is the real problem of control, because we have only 2 kind of counters: Early game good (Mana Leak, Rune Snag); Late Game (Deprive, Cryptic Command).
Nothing really fit in all stage of the game: Cryptic in opening hand, its a card less, Leak in late game it's lost draw...
I'm not complainig about it...and i don't want Counterspell...it's too OP, but something like: cmc 2 counter target spell with cmc 3 or less =_= coud be a start.
About draw spells...i voted that is a consistent need for a control and there is a lack there too, but is not actually corretc: Dark Confidant, Phyrexian Arena are amaizing draw engine...the REAL need is a strong instant speed blue draw: make an instant divination you will see.
Currently i'm testing Cerebral Vortex and i belive that is the best option at the moment: work fine, but have a big drawback (2 damage in 3 color mana base...); i must admit that Vortex win me some games, for that I'm sure that a cmc 3 instant speed draw spell will resolve quite the problem and we're not much far from it...just complain about Treasure Cruise and Dig banning isn't right because, let's face it, we all knew that they were owepowered! (personally never say the opposite and i wasn't supriced about the ban hammer).
Wincons, on the other hand, are really consistent:
personally i don't like combos, never will, but still we have amaizing cards lice Celestial Colonnade (who win games alone mostly); Gaist of Saint Traft (6 damage 3 drop? insane) Batterskull (no comment here); Keranos God of Storms (same as batterskull); Restoration Angel (flash 3/4 who fly, perfect for controls, amaizing with ETB plans)...and a lot more (i personally like Baneslayer Angel too).
Modern is an amaizing pool of creature but have a lack of utility spells.
