MTG Salvation

I have not spent any cash on the game, and most likely wont until after launch and it's at least showing 6+ months of being healthy. Everything I've been putting together has been from either pack pulls or drunken wildcard spending

My first deck was BW Tokens, Anointed Procession, Anointer Priest, Angel of Sanctions and Crested Sunmares being the MVPs. Bulk of the deck was commons/uncommons and it only got stronger as rares and mythics where added. Going wide also helped vs RDW and The Scarab God


I was intrigued by playing a creatureless deck, and I liked that Curses was mostly uncommons or cards I already had. Mono Black creatureless curses became my second deck. I also have a BW version of it with Ixalan's Bindings and other white removal, but since Dominaria has added Cabal Stronghold, and Powerstone Shard I've shifted strongly back to mono b.


MBC/Legends Reanimator/Look at all the random rares I have! Using the core of the Curses deck, threw this together to use up some of the random beefy black creatures I had. Probably has one of the poorer win ratios of my decks, maybe even sub 50%, but it's fun and splashy when it wins. I haven't redeemed anything towards this deck, it's just a pile of what I have.


Mono White Angels, somehow my strongest deck. There's few good board wipes in the format to force me to reset, and Angel of Sanctions and my little creatures all have to die twice. Lots of spot removal and life gain makes it a pesky deck to face against. If/when I get a second Shalai, Voice of Plenty I may actually splash green. Even without her token ability, she is still a solid critter for 4 mana.

I wonder why they chose to make a Gideon. Think Jace would be a better option if you wanted one of the Gatewatch plainswalkers. Not only is he the posterchild of Magic, but he also has a card that actually creates token copies of himself.

The tokens all seem to suit Amonkhet block or last years Masters sets, I think they made Gideon as one since you can use it to represent his creature form without messing with your loyalty counters, you can use it to track his loyalty counters, or use it as his emblem, or life counter.

I think they are kind of awkward to use as token creatures, a bag of these would be bulky, but they make perfect life counters, and the planeswalker ones are good for loyalty counters/emblems. For what breaks down to about $1.66 each, they really aren't bad for what they are.

Kind of agree, as counters they are silly, but they make good life counters and splashy loyalty/emblem counters. Glad they are so cheep. My friend's 13 y/o who plays Magic LOVES them.

I hadn't seen em before, and couldn't find a post on the forums.

There's 15 in this set, each one is also available in foil.
Grabbed a pack for $4.99, got a Spirit, Cat and Solider. Dials are slightly loose, if you bump or drop em the numbers will change, but this isn't really worse than using dice or anything else. They make decent life counters even though the numbers are a little small. Good quality plastic for the price. It may be possible to pop them apart and insert your own art, but they are held together by glue.

Ultra Pro's website says these 15 will never be printed again (makes sense, these where obviously designed for Amonkhet block/last years Masters sets) but there will be new ones in the future, no specific news though.
Would love to see more walkers, more legends. A Dominara series with Teferi emblems and Knights and such would be great. OOHHH SAGA TOKENS!

How have I never even heard of these? WotC is amazing at sneaking products onto the market.

I guess it has some sweet reprints that are good to have in EDH collections (Blade of Selves and Urza's Incubator come to mind). Other than that, the choices make sense. It all makes so much sense. John de Lancie would actually make an awesome Bolas voice.

As many people have said, it's impossible to hold a tournament in a Gamestop due to size (I have NEVER seen a Gamestop with enough room to set up a table and chairs without moving multiple fixtures) However, Gamestop does now own Think Geek, and Think Geek stores are much bigger with more floor space, I think that would be more logistically possible as well as less 'political.'

A 24 year old in Tennessee killed his friend who was spending the night at his house before they had planned to go to a Magic LGS, and his mother. He left a long facebook post, and at the time of my post here, is on the run.

Nothing he did was OK, or right and I do not condone or agree with it, or him. I don't know why he did this, or why he chose this.

I am shattered, there is not a better emotional word to describe it, shattered, after reading his post.

Mental Health is brought up every time there is gun violence in schools or homes, and that is the only goal of this post. If someone has a depressive outburst, don't go "HA HA" like Nelson and blow it off. Depression and mental pain are real. Your friends or loved ones may be in real pain and not getting help or support, may feel brushed off or like their issues are invalid. It is common for someone to withdraw from a friend they feel is depressed or 'sad all the time', if a friend was on fire, would you try to put it out, or just stand far enough away you didn't get burned? We all make our choices every single day, all we can do is try to make better choices, for us and those we love.

I just noticed that, maybe Kaylee was too strong when in playtesting when she triggered Artifacts/vehicles. Come to think of it, if she DID do vehicles, you would just suicide your vehicles into your opponent each turn. Flavorwise, it is odd though.
