Someone's gonna break their dental retainer...
Killmonger and M'Baku need to be on some Magic art. Terese Nielsen could do it.

Still waiting for a Benedict Cumberbatch Jace.
Mar 21, 2018If you want a single, simple product to build off of, they released a box set of 4 decks called "Explorers of Ixalan" https://magic.wizards.com/en/products/explorers-ixalan It's MSRP is $60 but you can find it for $40ish if you hunt around online.Posted in: Magic General
You get 4, complete 60 card decks, each themed around a creature type, Merfolk, Vampires, Dinosaurs and Pirates. They each come with a deck box that is large enough to hold the cards in sleeves.
Each deck has a good number of rares and a few mythics.
The current 2 magic sets, Ixalan and Rivals of Ixalan have more cards that would easily work with the decks, or you can take them apart and modify them.
There is a special way to play multiplayer included with the Explorers game, that has unique tiles and game pieces, this is optional. The decks work fine on their own.

I think Rudy is a toxic blowhard myself, but the reddit's show lots of confirmation, including more photos and videos of it happening. Rudy's packs also appear to be sealed and legit.

Fulla I think was a victim of circumstance but she was pretty self servingly evil by the end. Mazeura was just trying to survive, but the whole Mirari/Phyrexian influence made him do some pretty evil things.
yes and maybe they shouldn't be looking to the Onslaught Block for story notes.
What sets outside of Odyssey block and Onslaught block was the Cabal featured?
Mar 13, 2018Posted in: The Rumor MillQuote from ryuplaneswalker »As the player explores the ancient lands, they will need to build sites, rediscover lost artifacts, and confront the sinister Cabal
Remember when the Cabal was first introduced and it was fairly Morally Grey, sure it was something like a gigantic mafia but well Kirtar and the Order were not particularly nice either, Thanks WOTC you forgot that the black part of the pie isn't supposed to be default evil.

I would half-expect the Cabal represented in 'modern' Dominaria to have heavy Phyrexian influences, either as side effects of the Mirari or new influence.
Mar 13, 2018Posted in: The Rumor MillQuote from Dontrike »Ever Since WotC has been pumping out various products like they can't turn off the hose has shown the game in decline, both in the actual game and elsewhere. All this does is take focus away from the game and makes it far more irritating to play, which the last few years has shown. It's pretty clear to me that all of this product has made the actual game worse, and I don't know about you but I would rather the main game stay strong than them focus on pumping out constant low quality product, like Masters, with low quality card stock.
This statement has nothing to do with Heroes of Dominaria or Creature Forge, which are produced by Wizkids, not Wizards of the Coast. No amount of video games, movies, comics, posters, or board games will have any impact on Masters or card stock.
Mar 12, 2018These are licensed products, meaning Wizards themselves spent nearly zero resources on the development of them. If NECA made 500 different M:tG boardgames, or none, it would not effect Hasbro's development of the M:tG cardgame either way.Posted in: The Rumor Mill

I would love if Bolas was about the size of Mushu from Mulan in canon
Mar 10, 2018Posted in: The Rumor MillQuote from AEIOUsometimesY »So apologies in advance for the super dumb question, but are there 2 different Ajani statues, or does he have a moveable jaw, and I am just not seeing how it closes? If it's the latter, is there a moveable piece to the Bolas statue (I didn't see anything at first glance)?
I think he has a swappable head, the "What's in the Box?" section mentions "1 exclusive portrait", I think that means he comes with an alternate head.
Edit: Yup, there's a "Limited Edition" version that is a little cheaper and only seems to have the roaring face. https://www.sideshowtoy.com/collectibles/magic-the-gathering-ajani-goldmane-prime-1-studio-903175/
Mar 10, 2018They seem to be coming out in 2019. I was never a big fan of Bolas' lanky design, but that Ajani looks amazing. My wallet can be thankful there is no Liliana available.Posted in: The Rumor Mill
I somehow never heard about these until today, lots more pictures at the links below.
Mar 8, 2018I went into the Clackamas, Oregon Toys R Us, and they had these in the puzzle aisle. I bought one (it was marked 8.99 in store but they price matched the website to 7.99) There is 1 Ajani left. They seem to be an assortment, but the other puzzles are not Magic. There is a D&D one they where out of, and a Pokemon one, all $8.99.Posted in: The Rumor Mill
Mar 8, 2018I actually couldn't find them at gamestop or thinkgeek (in store or website) the only online seller that has them is toys r us, (no amazon, hasbrotoyshop, walmart, target etc) and the only physical store I saw the 1000 piece in was called "Go!" they normally do pop up calendar and toy stores each fall, but my local malls has stayed open. Also copyright on the 1000 piece puzzle was 2017, so they are a recent thing. Go! had 1 Ajani puzzle, nothing else. I would have snagged a Liliana if I saw it.Posted in: The Rumor Mill
