Current Standard meta not favorable for combo?

Gee I wonder why? Is it because of...

    Meddling Mage?

Let's not get the wrong idea about this, this is a tactic the U.S. might use in the event of a cyber terrorist attack by Islamic extremists or in that kind of criteria.

Information is a vital part of war no doubt about it however shutting it down to block people who regularly use the internet for blogging, chatting on message boards, and such is unjust.

We would be hurting ourselves besides our enemies If this were to happen. It would almost seem like as the 1st decade of the 21st Century never happened on a technological standpoint.

As far as I recall this "Internet Kill Switch" Bill hasn't been passed through the Senate yet from what I've heard. So far the main bill that was recently just passed into law by the Supreme Court was regarding Gun Control and the 2nd Amendment.

Basically a new Senate Bill backed by Joe Lieberman was passed to give President Obama the ability to shutdown the entire Internet and Worldwide Web only in the event of a Cybersecurity attack.

IMO I think this is a really horrible idea and just seems like another attempt of the U.S. Government trying to gain power over the internet limiting people's free speech, freedoms, as well as businesses on the internet.

The Internet is also the backbone of worldwide society as shutting it down would cause mass hysteria and catastrophe.

I would strongly consider running Gravity Well If you're having problems against
    Angels and Vampires.

sure ban it, and then watch how much gas prices go up.

Either get the government to start building hydrogen fuel cell plants to replace coal electric plants or go nuclear.

There shouldn't be a ban on offshore drilling cause yes it would cause gas prices to reach astronomical levels which we don't need you're right. Plus the situation in the Gulf is already bad enough for fisherman and the citizens of New Orleans and Southern Lousiana.

Heck a Fisherman in the Gulf committed suicide after seeing how bad the Gulf Oil Spill was before proceeding to clean it up, his hobby and life's work all completely shattered by this crisis. Had this recklessness from BP had never happened he wouldn't have taken his own life, he was even going to teach his son how to fish as well. Frown

I think we need to follow T. Boone Pickens ideas regarding Wind Energy and a cleaner way to travel with vehicles which would also help curb Global Warming. It's a much better alternative than going nuclear or using hydrogen fuel cell plants.

  • posted a message on How could Magic get rid of land screw?
All this time I thought the reason why some Magic players quit to play
World of Warcraft TCG was due to Mana Screw in Magic. Maybe If Wizards did how UDE and Blizzard nullified Mana Screw in the World of Warcraft TCG, Magic might actually be better.

No it doesn't. Look at the current Standard. There "is" combo, but there is percentage wise about as much combo placing t8 as there is Zur, the Enchanter decks placing t8 in Legacy.

And yes, Wizards has a grudge against deckbuilding skills. That's why they preconstruct decks, design expansions like Alara and hate combo.

And I take it Wizards releases preconstruct decks due to alot of Magic players netdecking, correct?

Why is it that Wizards hates creativity? Does netdecking hurt it so much to the point where it doesn't matter?

  • posted a message on Banning Offshore Drilling
With the recent outbreak of the BP Oil Spill Crisis, Obama tried to ban Offshore Drilling in the U.S. but it was overturned by Congress, now someone else is trying to get the ban
re-instated. Whether it is good or bad for the country I'm not sure, I do think it is but we need to rely on a different energy source for our vehicles besides oil.

Your thoughts? Well If you ask me I think banning offshore drilling could definitely lead to higher gas prices but we can't rely on the Gulf for oil for too long considering the threat of hurricanes to the Gulf these past few years, heck Katrina was pretty bad to the oil industry cause of how oil in the U.S. is at a very vulnerable spot.

Ophidian Eye is amazing with Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind.

You burn your Opponent's life before you deck yourself. Unfortunately Curiosity got errated to where you have to deal combat damage with it in order to draw.

Honestly? No, it's not. Everything you like about the game is either dead or dying. The game has no soul anymore, you won't get that surge of nostlogia you feel when looking at new sets. Every since the card fram change, the game has been solidly against flavor and all about function, catering to the competitve/tournament crowd.

As much as I hate to admit it, I think you're right. However about the card frame's I don't think it's gotten that bad though I do think Wizards is catering more to the competitive/tournament crowd and not both them and the Casual crowd.
