No I think they will do more than push off the panic, If we can come up with a long term solution to fix the National Debt/Deficit then we can find a way out of the current situation and perhaps secure the financial stability of our kids and grandkids. I still have hope that something can be done to fix the overall economy and the Debt. There has to be a solution to all this and I don't think we are trying hard enough. We can't give up. There's still some time left for us to take smart responsibility for our actions.

We need to fix Unemployment, Jobs, and a whole lot of things. It's getting to the point where it'd be better to do this before next year but even by next year there will still be time to act upon this and regardless If Obama wants to be a Second-term President I think this crisis is apparent that he's not capable of handling it let alone leadership skills despite his achievements so far in saving innocent Libyan civilians from getting killed, saving the Economy temporarily with the Stimulus Package in 2008, and taking out bin Laden.

I'm not sure If Mitt Romney in 2012 is capable cause to me it seems like he lacks leadership like almost every other Republican Candidate running for Office next year including Rick Perry who just flat out gives up off the bat. I'm leaning towards Ron Paul for 2012 to be honest, I think he's the best chance we got in terms of a Presidential Republican winning the White House next year in 2012. I don't buy that crap that whoever is the most appealing wins, sure it's been said for the past Administrations but let's put that aspect aside for a moment.

I'm starting to believe that the reason why Obama got elected 3 years ago was not because he was Black it was because of voter fraud and massive internet fundraisers with the backing of Facebook. Then there's the argument that the Electoral College is making it harder for people to let their voices be heard on who should be President as well including the conspiracy theories that secret societies are the one's who really get to choose who is U.S. President leaving the vote of the American people out of the equation.

As much as I hate to be the bearer of bad news, I heard from a source (I'll post the link here soon below) that another market crash is due in 2013 but maybe just maybe the next Administration that takes office can forestall or stop it from happening. It doesn't look too good, we're talking about the possible garauntee of default, unemployment at 50%, higher interest rates, and possibly higher gas prices which would not only be bad for people who want to go out and vacation but also for us who spend money on TCG's like Magic.

Here's the links regarding the source material I've heard about this from, yeah it's pretty bad but I'm hoping this guy is wrong and I'd really hate for him to be right but it seems like whatever we do it's inevitable, the Debt Bomb is going to get us eventually one way or the other. Unless we act now and for whoever takes office in the next Presidential term (hopefully not Obama after all the problems he's caused though Bush Jr. was worse I'll give it that) that can help fix our economic problems we won't see financial stability in this country for a very long time.

I think the Republicans need to stop and think to themselves
for a minute, what's more important in this country? Compromising
to get things done or stick to your principles regardless If you stall
this deadlock long enough to default the country itself.

They don't have much of a choice, they're racing against the clock
yet they are dooming the financial stability of the world economy over
their pety ideologies and it makes me sick just thinking about it. As an Independent that's what I think of the Republicans stance on this Debt Crisis so far.

Well I heard that stupid theory from this guy who was mentioned on the Colbert Report on Comedy Central. But yeah as much as it's hard to believe the guy who originally came up with that theory, If it's true that just means that the U.S. still has time to save the National Debt and raise it.

Regarding the August 2nd Deadline to fix the Debt Ceiling, there's a theory as to why August 2nd was chosen as the deadline to fix the Nation's Debt. It's because President Obama's birthday is on August 4th and he's worried that If we don't go into Default on the 2nd and Congress and the two parties are still trying to resolve the issue to fix the Debt Ceiling that would ruin Obama's 50th Birthday plans.

Wow, really all this quick unorganized way to fix the Nation's Debt only to satisfy Obama's birthday plans? I mean don't get me wrong we all deserve to have some time off on our birthday's but geez man can't you put that aside for once and think about the financial health of your own country? If were not that in much of a hurry to get our country to become fiscally sane then don't we still have more time to work this out without having the Government to spend more money until the Debt Ceiling is raised?

    Quote from Chaosworm
Magic has always been planeswalkers battling each other. Players are planeswalkers.

Correction my friend, before Lorwyn was designed Magic had always been about Wizards battling each other now it's Planeswalkers. If you don't remember you can always Google for it I suppose.

The idea that Players who are Planeswalkers controlling Planeswalkers just seems like a very bad idealogical gimmick that WoTC is doing nowadays, but most players don't really care that much about that aspect so yeah.

I suppose Planeswalkers gives Magic more of a World of Warcraft TCG feel to it but it's nothing special. I don't really care that much about running Planeswalkers in general at least it's not a requirement like Jace, the Mind Sculptor was in Standard.

I've been thinking about getting into this game but I'm not sure If it's worth it or not. I've noticed alot of Magic players getting into this game and it's growing where I play.

I would go with one of the new Black & White Theme Decks depending on what Colors you want to run. If it's Water go with Samurott, Fire would be with Emboar, and Grass would be with Serperior.

I would also recommend getting the Raichu vs. Gyarados Trainer Kits from HeartGold and SoulSilver to get vital cards you need for your decks such as Pokemon Collector and Professor Elm's Training Methods.

I remember hearing on G4 that Yoshimitsu, Steve Fox, Cammy, Sagat, Dhalsim, and Poison are confirmed to be in Street Fighter x Tekken.

Kuma vs. Blanka would be awesome as well as Marshall Law vs. Fei Long.

Crap, we got less than a week before Financial Armageddon and both parties still haven't come up with an agreement yet to fix the Debt Ceiling? I guess Congress and the U.S. Government only care about their political status instead of their own country. They never cared about the American people, only themselves.

If that's the case then the worse case scenario I fear may happen. Martial Law, Anarchy, riots, destruction all across the United States because our Government failed to respond quickly in time to fix our fiscal problems. In our country's current state we are already on the road to becoming a third-world country.

I play the Pokemon TCG, been playing since Diamond/Pearl: Majestic Dawn though it wasn't really that long ago I got hooked after the first few games I played of it. As for deck building advice and strategies, well the card ratio for Pokemon is like 20+ Pokemon, 20+ Trainers/Supporters, and 12-14 Energies. Most people who run Stadium cards usually run 2-3 but they're not necessary unless needed for your deck strategy like with Lost World which functions with the game's own Removed from Game Pile (Exiled) being the "Lost Zone."

The current staple cards in the current Modified format being HeartGold/Soulsilver-Onwards, are as you pointed out Pokemon Communication, Pokemon Collector which allows you to search your deck for 3 Basic Pokemon and puts it to your hand and is a Supporter, Professor Oak's New Theory which shuffles your hand into your deck and draws 6 cards and is a Supporter, and soon to be released Pokemon Catcher (Trainer) which is basically Gust of Wind from Base Set If that rings a bell.

As for Starter Pokemon you can run Cleffa which is similiar to the Neo Genesis version with Eeeeeeek! only difference is that after you get the effect it goes to sleep and you have to wake it up although while it's asleep it takes no damage whatsoever. Then there's other Starter Pokemon like Stantler with Call for Family, that sort of thing. So yeah the current format is shaping up to be similiar with Base Set back in the Old days but with a twist I suppose.

  • posted a message on (Score) Dragonball Z CCG

Oh, and if your curious as to why the sets were so rushed? Its because the guy running them was fired from WOTC for embezzlement and score hired him, he believed in milking CCG's, not creating long running ones. Its why scores other anime games were brief flares and overpowered crap. Milk the small fanbase as much as possible before the interest dies

Before I comment on your post, I just wanted to say that I started playing this game very late when I should've gone early back when I was still addicted to Yu-Gi-Oh! like heroin refusing to believe that Yu-Gi-Oh! kept getting worse as time went on. Oh yeah 2003 was sort of the dark age of Yu-Gi-Oh! so to speak and yet to this day it's managed to perservere despite the odds of unbalance and power creep.

It was the Shadow Dragon Saga of Dragonball GT when I got in, though I've heard people complain that the GT sets were more overpowered than the DBZ ones were cause of the various new game mechanics like Augmenting, bigger power levels, among other things. But while it lasted in my metagame I had a great time. I feel bad I didn't get into this game back in Saiyan Saga when I should have. I would've made more friends like I did with
Yu-Gi-Oh! probably and some of my friends who used to play don't ever show up anymore.

As for your post, I've played other CCG's by Score and the worst one's I've played were InuYasha and Yu Yu Hakusho. Then shortly after DBZ/GT there was Bleach which was a pretty good game for the most part, the game mechanics were alright and it had amazing potential to be even bigger. The problem was getting specific staple singles at a cheap price and it was as bad as it was in Yu-Gi-Oh! where they end up charging like $15 to $20 for one card that's a staple when staple cards should be cheap and affordable then again alot of TCG/CCG's suffer from this.

I personally think that If the DBZ CCG got rebooted (again) yeah I know, Score has done it at least once with Re-Z and Bandai has taken a shot at it but If they do reboot it or whichever card game company does it should stay true to the way Score Entertainment did it originally however most people nowadays who do play the Original DBZ/GT CCG they go play the Online Version of it by Kamiccolo which to me doesn't feel right cause I'd rather be playing the actual cards than playing digitally online.

If anyone has played WWE Raw Deal, DBZ/GT CCG by Score plays very similiar in terms of game mechanics but the difference is that games actually take longer to resolve compared to Raw Deal which can finish games quicker depending on the timing. One game of DBZ/GT CCG can take like 1 or 2 hours where Raw Deal is probably like an hour and a half maybe judging from how my friends play it.

Dragonball Z has a humongous fanbase so the problem is that it wasn't the interest that caused it to die it was because they ran out of source material to base the CCG/TCG off of. They could've done the other DBZ movies that weren't covered like the one with Janemba in it especially the last DBZ movie with Tapion or that Exclusive Japanese DBZ Special with the Tuffle Survivor wanting to exterminate the Saiyans when old DBZ villians got cloned like Frieza, Cell, the Ginyu Force, and several others.

Something must be done to either raise the debt ceiling or to prevent financial catastrophe and soon, the deadline is on Aug. 2 and it seems as though some of the Republicans calling the shots on this issue are wagering the financial welfare of evey American in the country when all politicians need to put politics aside and get this done ASAP not for their own benefits but for the country itself cause the consequences are dire and dangerous.

Unemployment is still at 9.2%, The Obama Administration has failed to lead this country by scaring the markets, not even helping create more jobs, make budget plans, among other issues. I don't get why some politicans negotiating over this crisis think this is a game when it's not. The Government needs to wake up and understand what's going on, I'm just getting tired of politicians wagering the financial welfare of every citizen in the U.S. just to satisfy their own interests, needs, and financial welfare.

Fact or Fiction isn't bad however your Opponent gets to choose the piles for you but I'm not sure If it's my type of card or not. Moat is a threat to Deciever Exarch but I can just bounce the Moat with Echoing Truth or something else that bounces permanents back, no big deal.

As for fetches, I don't have $80+ for a playset of Scalding Tarn's, Steam Vents and whatnot when Terramorphic Expanse is more budget oriented. Shivan Reef is less expensive despite being a painland so I suppose that could work I guess. I could take See Beyond out for Ponders.

I could take the Blasting Stations out for something but what?
