I play EDH/Commander but nowadays as Regular Multiplayer because most of my friends don't have the money or time invested to build their own so they stick with regular Kitchen Table Casual 60 card decks instead cause it's alot cheaper and they view EDH as an expensive format as Legacy is right now and Wizards isn't doing enough to make EDH a cheaper format to get into than Legacy.

There was a time when Wizards made expansions with Combo in mind but they felt it was too overpowered for most of their formats especially Standard but now they are appealing more to a younger demographic of Magic players than they did with the players that have been playing much longer than that and as a result they dumb down the game to make it more simple to learn.

Nowadays Wizards only makes expansions with EDH in mind and while that's fine and dandy, they are also making it difficult for Magic players who play Standard trying to build a functional deck where as Modern and Legacy are better formats to break into but at the same time they cost alot to invest in. If Wizards never took Magic in the direction of Mythics and Planeswalkers the game may of had a much bigger playerbase than it does now.

Yes to some degree. I do agree that Women should be as equally
paid as Men though among other issues that doesn't cause too big
of a gap between the two genders.

The wrong idea here is the notion that you support women's rights at all.

You think I believe they aren't entitled to their own rights? It might sound hard to believe but I know they do and I still support them with that to a certain extent at least.

I'm not sure If anyone's already mentioned this in this thread however the big reason why Female Feminism has failed in society is because Women have too much power nowadays in politics where they are trying to enact gender equality into law worldwide especially with how the rise of female sexual violence in today's society has pushed them there. Make them the dominant gender of the human race and every Man will feel like they're forced to wear chastity belts where sex is completely irrelevant in society to where there won't be a new generation. It's bad enough that Congress is divided but Gender as well?

Also the gender gap has probably gotten alot worse since Obama was elected in 2008 but I guess that's up for debate I suppose. Don't get the wrong idea I support Women's rights to a certain extent even though I'm a Male but I think the current Presidential Election has been extremely unfair to Men at least that's the way I see it anyway. As for why I feel Male Feminism has failed in society it's because it doesn't feel natural due to religion not accepting it so to change that Men try to tempt fate by having sex changes but usually they don't work out most of the time and it can be creepy.

Women have sex changes for the same reasons Men do because they feel isolated or left out regardless of what Gender they were fated with at birth. Whatever happened to being happy for who you are and accepting your own gender given at birth? Perhaps people don't want to because they blame religion for that sort of thing. Unless they are Atheists or convert to Atheism then it still doesn't make sense to me why they refuse to resign to their own birth gender, If they feel they have a choice in the matter then let them. I still think it's rather foolish but If it helps their self-esteem and makes their lives better then more power to them I guess...

According to the August 2012 Jobs Report only 96,000 new jobs were created, while 360,000 people stopped looking for Jobs last month, the Unemployment Rate did go down from 8.3% to 8.1% like it did a few months ago before it went back up. Here's a pretty good article that can help American Businesses create jobs more in these economic times:

    http://www.dailyfinance.com/2012/08/30/dear-american-companies-heres-how-to-fix-the-economy/?icid=maing-grid10%7Chtmlws-main-bb%7Cdl20%7Csec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D200736

When Obama took Office in 2008, the Unemployment Rate was at 10% then it went down to 9% and eventually 8% like it is right now. As for Romney yes he is pretty much toast at this point cause Obama is going to win Ohio and Virginia however it's still a statistical tie in Florida where it's 47% Obama and 47% Romney. Gee I wonder why when Bill Clinton's speech at the DNC this year pretty much assured a 2nd term for Obama.

I knew Romney was going to lose this Election since January. Why? Because the GOP aren't using common sense to win especially when they can't agree with anything that the Democrats put on the table especially in Congress. The GOP wants to make Obama a 1 term President because they believe in those nutjob conspiracy theorists (Chuck Norris, Rush Limbaugh, Rick Perry, Glenn Beck, Ted Nugent, and Hank Williams Jr.) regarding their Opponent.

Let's focus on electing an equal amount of members in Congress while Obama's in office for a 2nd term and hopefully they'll finally get SOMETHING done! Fact of the matter is If the Democrats and Republicans don't compromise in fixing the Economy soon then the U.S. will go bankrupt. Put aside political idealogies and do what's best for the American people even If they don't like it. Maybe the word "compromise" wouldn't be such a dirty word to Republicans If they had the common sense to do what's best for their own country instead of themselves.

Cut me some slack, I'm trying not to let the Republicans get the best of me on these scare tactics they've been ensuing against Obama. I am a bit too gullable as you can already tell. Slant

As for the whole Platform thing I mentioned earlier, Obama intervened during the Convention to correct it based on what I heard on MSNBC and I'd rather not talk about how off base some News Networks are especially Fox News.

    Unrelated to the DNC:

    http://www.upworthy.com/mitt-romney-accidentally-confronts-a-gay-veteran-awesomeness-ensues?g=2

Darnit Romney, why are you making it so hard for me to support you?

I think the Gay Vietnam Veteran was missing the point about the reason why Romney supports traditional marriage over marriage equality, people like Romney support traditional marriage being between a man and a woman because it's based on their religious beliefs of Christianity, Catholicism, and possibly Mormonism though not sure about the Muslim and Jewish faith in this regard. Here's a link with Bible passages as to why God condemns homosexuality in marriage according to the Judeo-Christian/Catholic faith:

    http://www.pccmonroe.org/Homosexuality/Bible.htm

As for the Democratic National Convention it seems apparent to me that what's at stake in this election isn't the Economy and Jobs from what the Democrats are saying but Social Issues in general like Contraception, Gay Marriage, and Women's Rights. I would go deeper on this social issue of Gender Equality but I'd get heavily criticized for it that would offend Males everywhere possibly.

I will say that Republicans have made it very difficult for Females to be viewed in society in the same respect as Males which they are now labeled as "sex objects" especially in industries that endorses that sort of thing including pornography which much like prostitution and human trafficking should be illegal in this country.

I mean If Obama gets a 2nd term and ratifies the Violence Against Women Act then what would be the point of keeping those guilty pleasure industries around that influences Males to enact the very thing that the Violence Against Women Act is trying to outlaw and ban? Not every Female is viewed in society as a "sex object" but I was trying to get a good message across regarding Gender Equality in that aspect.

Here's something interesting I found out regarding Obama's Platform for the Democratic National Convention. That he wanted to remove references pertaining to 'God' and 'Jerusalem'. Why his Administration did that I'm not exactly sure...

It's one thing to respect other people's religions even If you're an atheist, but THIS?! I dunno. They know this isn't going to sit too well with the GOP and the Christian/Catholic Conservatives in this country. I think their aim was to try to avoid controversy in their speeches but they did just the opposite. -____-

It's become apparent to me that fixing the economy and jobs is going to be a 2 term deal where as Republicans were being too impatient thinking that Unemployment was going to drop below 8% in the 4 years since Obama got elected when really another 4 years should lower Unemployment, isn't that what FDR did in his 2 terms in office? Obama needs to prove to the American public that he can get the Economy to turn around as strong as FDR did with the New Deal. What's slowing it down is the Debt Crisis in Europe that's why Republican's are being impatient.

I saw the part about DNC Speaker Stacy Lihn making a speech about how Obamacare is saving her daughter's life needing open heart surgery and If Romney is elected U.S. President and completely repeals Obamacare (a.k.a. Affordable Care Act) then Stacy's daughter would die cause she didn't have the health policy from Obamacare needed to save her life. If that doesn't completely demonize the GOP I don't know what will. The Democrats made it to where this race isn't between both parties, they are pitting the GOP to the life of a little girl. This Election wasn't really a close race to begin with, we all know Obama's going to win in November and the GOP lost on purpose with a lack of common sense. -____-

I've been wondering do you guys think that If the Democrats had their Convention first before the Republicans did would that have sent a better message to voters in this Election to give the GOP a chance to respond to how the Democrats are hammering away at Romney and the GOP this year? It does seem like in terms of scheduling Conventions that the Democrats gave the Republicans a major disadvantage to back up any sort of rhetoric the other party is throwing at them currently. With the way this election is going both parties are acting like selfish brats that lack common sense.

If Obama and Biden puts out a more detailed plan for their 2nd term to create jobs and fix the economy at the DNC later this week then that could really hurt the Romney/Ryan ticket especially since at the RNC they didn't try hard enough to reach out to most Americans and Clint Eastwood's cameo didn't help matters that much either. The Empty Chair gag was pretty bad but it sort of represents the state of how Republicans feel about Obama in some ways whether If it was a good interpretation of it or not without using scare tactics at the very least.

If there's one thing I don't get about Romney and Ryan is that regardless of everything they've said about needing to fix the Economy and create jobs they haven't mentioned a single word about trying to help Small Businesses and the Middle Class of America, the real demographic of America that is suffering through these economic times right now. How does "Class Warfare" in which some people believe is a lie really tie in to this Election?

Now aside from all that the real race isn't who will become U.S. President this year but how many Republicans can earn enough seats in the Senate and how many Democrats can earn enough seats in the House to where there won't be a dysfunctional Congress especially when their approval rating has been at their lowest since I don't know when. There's not an even number of both parties in the House and the Senate and If we manage to fix that gap we would be able to pass bills alot easier to help fix the Economy, balance the budget, and get ourselves in fiscal order despite claims that the Democrats want to jump off the Fiscal Cliff in 2013.

Unfortunately that might not happen after Todd Akin's comments on the topic of abortion in regards to "legitimate rape" when he didn't have the scientific proof to back up his claim which sort of says alot about how there's somewhat of a disconnect between science and politics as much as there is with politics and religion aside from Separation of Church and State. I'm not defending Akin and yes there have been some politicians in the GOP that have made some reckless mistakes recently.

The big challenge here is will the American public let that slide in favor of a more functional Congress? Most likely not with most women in this country but with other demographics maybe but that's only wishful thinking at this point. We can make predictions on who will most likely become the next U.S. President, grow tired of one side using scare tactics to overthrow the current man in office, but at the end of the day what we really need in the U.S. Government and both Democrats and Republicans is common sense which there seems to be a severe lack of due to pety idealogies getting in the way of what's best for the American people. What we need the most is REAL LEADERSHIP not false promises with bad rhetoric.

To my knowledge I don't remember socialist policies ever being used in the history of the United States Government before Obama was elected office cause If it did happen in the past we would already be feeling the effects of those policies by now.

The United States isn't Europe I mean why do you think we declared our Independence from the British Empire in 1776? I don't think Americans want their Government to end up like most Governments in Europe with socialist and fascist ideals with record high gas prices and that's part of the reason why I believe they'll vote for someone like Mitt Romney.

The reason why people would vote for Obama is clearly because he's better on foreign policy than Romney is especially when it comes to Iran and other countries that we're in the middle of trying to fix. I don't think this country can sustain itself as the "World Police" any longer cause we need to deal with getting our country back on track at home.

The real challenge is how we can fix our economic problems at home and try to stay strong on foreign policy, that's like biting more than you can chew and I'm greatly concerned that the U.S. is trying to repeat the same mistakes that Ancient Rome did. Instead of stabilizing foreign countries they conquered while being able to stabilize their own land and government.

At the fall of Ancient Rome they had a dysfunctional government that set aside compromise to get stuff done for the people and not on their pety idealogies and that is scarily similiar to our current state of Government right now. I don't think the U.S. Government realizes that If we don't learn from history we are doomed to repeat it and it seems like they are repeating it I'm afraid.

It astounds me just how paranoid Republicans are thinking how bad this country will be If Obama is re-elected for a 2nd term and the majority of women in this country who are Democrats are thinking well maybe a 2nd term for Obama might not be so bad but we won't know til Thursday at the DNC later this week and what him and Biden have to say in Charlotte, NC.

Chuck Norris and his wife go around saying that a Obama re-election would usher in a "1,000 years of Darkness", Michael Moore whose a Liberal Democrat goes off the deep end saying that Romney has this election in the bag. We don't really need this paranoia in this country, sure I understand what's at stake in this election but no need to use scare tactics to where every Republican looks like Glenn Beck.

I overheard that gun and ammo prices are going up in fear of civil unrest If Obama does win a 2nd term. Really? Civil unrest? Do we honestly believe that Obama is going to bankrupt the United States to the ground to where he'll enact Socialist and Fascist agenda's against us? I think it's easy to question whether or not If he REALLY loves this country but If he didn't he wouldn't of saved the Auto Industry and killed Osama bin Laden.

I thought this campaign was about fixing the Economy and restoring Jobs to America not enacting extreme scare tactics to make Obama a 1 term President. That would be like If the Democrats used those same kind of scare tactics against the Republicans depending on the nature of the opposing candidate If he/she is too shady and mysterious ya know? Of course Obama is kind of shady and mysterious however If the 2016 Documentary has told me anything it's that he has an odd agenda for us in his 2nd term.
However it's not the kind of agenda that most Republicans think.

Huntsman is terrific, but he lacks the pockets of Romney and the charisma (and lack of shame) of the sideshow players.

Mitt Romney has charisma? unfortunately no. That's why he isn't going to get the Popular Vote in this Election in which Al Gore wants to replace the Electoral College with which would make Presidential Elections more rigged than how Super PAC's decide elections:

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/31/al-gore-electoral-college_n_1846521.html

When Mitt's dad George Romney ran for U.S. President against Richard Nixon back in 1968 he also lacked charisma but never got elected because he lacked the foreign policy needed to get the U.S. through the Vietnam War in which Nixon succeeded from. Times are different now, the Economy is the main focus of this Election where Mitt has the advantage unless Obama can prove he can fix the Economy more on his 2nd term.

Contrast to that is Mitt better at foreign policy than his father? Then again both the father and the son weren't good as politicians as they were businessmen. Oddly enough, Obama has the edge on Romney due to being a better politician yet he doesn't have the economic and business experience as the Romney's do which sort of says alot of things about what Obama could've done in his 1st term as U.S. President.

I looked at Mitt Romney's family tree and it turns out that he's actually part Mexican which should clearly net him the Latino Vote in which Obama has had a huge lead on especially the Female and African-American Vote as well too. I also found out that polygamy was a practice done by his past family members as well and whether or not it's apart of the Mormon faith is debatable I guess.

I watched the last part of the Republican National Convention last night and aside from a great speech by Marco Rubio the only reason why Clint Eastwood was there was just so that he could do a comedy roast on President Obama which was completely unecessary and goes to show how the Republicans don't care that much about getting this country together. I want to believe them, I really do but throughout this campaign they've been acting really stupid just to get their way instead of setting aside their idealogies to get things done in Congress. They fear that Obama doesn't represent the American people's idealogy of America being Liberty, Freedom, and the Pursuit of Happiness and thinks Obama's vision of America is a Fascist "Arab like" Socialist Statehood, but we don't know what his 2nd term plans are until the Democratic National Convention.

Mitt Romney's last speech at the Republican National Convention was pretty good except for one part which I didn't like when he mentioned that he would order a military strike on Iran If he gets elected U.S. President when there isn't even a plan to wage a military strike on Iran right now that would drive the price of gas past $4 a gallon and piss off most of our allies and foes in the Middle East by destroying the global economy in the process when the Republicans have no idea that the Democrats have already waged a cyber war against Iran by hacking into their computers with malicious hardware and software viruses to stop them from building nuclear weapons and heck even the sanctions are working on them as well too. Sure what the Obama Administration is doing in regards to Iran isn't perfect but at least it's better than starting World War III like what Romney and Ryan want to do when they get elected.

Both Romney and Ryan made no mention in regards to Iraq and Afghanistan at the Republican National Convention yet they want to send troops in Iran when there are other non-violent methods to put a stop to their nuclear ambitions? They don't seem to realize how much in military spending went into the U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of my cousins fought in Iraq and died by a roadside bomb from a member of al-qaeda. There are countless soldiers dying out there for our freedoms and yet they are driven past the point of sanity just to take their own lives away through suicide because they are tired of fighting war(s) they can't win, not because they are trying to be like their enemy for the sake of flawed religious ideals. Afghanistan is unwinnable for the United States, Iraq well was somewhat of a success but not exactly "Mission Accomplished" like Bush envisioned. If Saddam Hussein was still in power then Israel most likely wouldn't be around and the Middle East would be much more unstable than it is today.

The Obama Administration would've helped with the situation in Syria except that we don't have the money to keep going from country to country being the "World Police" cause you have to draw a line somewhere and I think that's what Ron Paul's 2012 Campaign Agenda was focused on. Heck he would've made a much better Republican Nominee for U.S. President this year, the only reason why Romney beat him to it was because he had more money especially with the Super PAC's which is a huge stain on our democracy. There needs to be a limit to how much money politicians spend on their campaigns and it's something that has been considered to try to get passed through Congress and the Supreme Court. Politicians nowadays believe that money equals speech when that hurts grassroot communities that are trying to take a shot at becoming U.S. President as well like Buddy Roemer for example. Thing is there's too much money in Government for the underdog's voice to be heard.
