    I've been thinking about that statement Romney made in his private fundraiser regarding that demographic he made about the 47% of Americans who don't pay income taxes who are dependant on Government sounded harsh but If you think about, what he's asking about that 47% is how dependant are they on Government to ensure themselves financial success? To be honest it's a really tough question to answer for one simple reason: We've been dependant on Government our entire lives and that won't ever change.

    America wouldn't function without Government that's a fact, however I think what Romney is trying to get at here is that with his economic policies he believes there is a way for people to become wealthy enough to where they rely less on Government paying for their needs when people would be rich or wealthy enough to pay for it themselves. Personally I think that's almost impossible to achieve and Romney makes it sound like everyone would become millionaires under his Administration If he does get elected. Inevitably as much as the GOP thinks they can create a way for people to escape Government dependancy it's impossible.

    So what Economic Policies are best to fix the U.S. Economy?
    Simpson-Bowles, Reaganomics, FDR's "New Deal"? Can President Obama fit either one of those policies into his 2nd term? Romney seems like he has a plan to create 12 Million Jobs in this country but he never really explained on the Campaign Trail exactly how he's going to do it unless he's just saving it for the upcoming Debates. Romney campaigned in Florida recently saying the same stuff that Obama said to get elected 4 years ago instead of finding a real economic policy to get us on track.

    Why do I spend so much money on cardboard? Gee I dunno, maybe it's because I'd like to get out of my house during the weekends and Friday nights to spend time playing card games with my friends instead of sitting infront of my computer playing MMORPG's and OCG's interacting with people I won't even meet in my lifetime while not having the same experience going to card shops out of my house. It's an experience that you can't replace with online interaction.

    I can see why the OP would make an argument like this considering the current state of the U.S. Economy especially how hard it can be to pay for gas to get to places as well. Not to mention having friends who don't have time to play TCG's that have to work during the weekends, college, or If they're married with kids probably having a chance to still play cards but probably don't have as much time for it maybe because of a curfew from his/her wife or husband or having to babysit their kids.

    Romney has made it so difficult to vote for somebody against Obama it's astounding. The problem that were facing here is that the Republicans are serious about winning this Election except for Mitt Romney himself whom like the Koch Brothers that also funded the Super PAC's for his campaign are only in this for their own self interests to appease the 1% and divide America even more. They say Obama has divided the U.S. but both parties make the same argument every time.

    Why is it that when Romney speaks behind closed doors that he actually speaks from the heart about what he feels about the current Election compared to how he doesn't show his true colors out in public in front of the media? Does he have stage fright or something? Is he really afraid of screwing up what he says out in public that he's trying to be some kind of perfectionist or something? Why are Republicans still backing up his conversation from those leaked videos? Are they so far right that they lack the common sense to work together with Democrats in this country?

    Apparently both parties never read Bob Woodward's, "The Price of Politics."

    The U.S. Presidential Debates are coming up and I think Romney might have the advantage against Obama for his failed stance to back up Israel in crippling Iran's efforts from getting a nuclear weapon. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a recent statement that Iran is just 6-7 months away from getting the bomb which is around mid-2013 next year If the U.S. doesn't act right now. The Obama Administration has acted but for some reason pretty much kept it a secret from the public eye to use surprise to their advantage against Iran and this concealment without any knowledge of this has got Israel on their toes.

    My question is whether If the tough sanctions and the cyberwar Obama has conducted against Iran will be enough to force their hand to give up pursuing nuclear weapons which Iran is using to destroy Israel and the United States although some people believe that they'll just use the nukes as a bargaining chip to drive the price of oil instead of destroying countries with it. People feared that when Pakistan got the bomb that they'd be a threat to some countries but that didn't turn out to be the case at all because they lack the hatred towards the U.S. and Israel like other Islamic countries do and the United States has successfully managed to stop North Korea from becoming a nuclear threat like Iran only for Kim Jong Il to kick the bucket last year.

    In case you didn't know, the name "Iran" stands for "Land of the Aryans" in Persian which means that Hitler and Nazi Germany's ideals for what they were fighting for in WWII are the same as Iran's ideals for their common hatred towards Jews. Iran seems to have the same ideals as Nazi Germany which explains how Ahmadinejad has alot in common with
    Adolf Hitler in terms of personality. Ahmadinejad isn't Gorbachov as he isn't going to negotiate with anyone and this isn't a new Cold War scenario that we're dealing with either. The U.S. needs to be extremely careful not to get sucked into 2 more wars with Iran and Syria which the military spending to stabilize those countries would cost as much as the U.S. has already spent on Iraq and Afghanistan which would also force the U.S. Government to raise the Debt Ceiling again or for the first time ever go into Default.

    Unless Obama can prove to the American people that he'll be able to keep the United States and Israel safe from Iran by stopping them from obtaining a nuclear weapon then he'll have a much better chance of winning the 2012 Election over Romney. Sure Obama already has an advantage against Romney in terms of Presidential Unity and a better Economic Plan but that might not be enough If the Republicans keep accusing Obama for "Throwing Israel Under the Bus" which is apparent of what he's done in his 1st term. He's helped Libya become a U.S. ally, take down Osama bin Laden, among other foreign policy accomplishments however his biggest challenge that he seems to be dodging is Iran which If any military intervention were to take place there it would be catastrophic to the entire global economy. U.S. Gas Prices would skyrocket to $8-9 a gallon and adding to the economic woes of the Euro Debt Crisis and the Fiscal Cliff would plunge the U.S. into a 2nd Great Depression undoing the Stimulus Package that Obama put in place for his 1st term.

    I remember hearing on MSNBC's Morning Joe that Mitt Romney and Benjamin Netanyahu have been very close friends since the 70's and If Romney is elected then the United States' relationship with Israel would strengthen significantly compared to how Barack Obama has divided the relationship with the United States and Israel over the course of his 1st term in office. I'm assuming that the reason why Obama didn't say much about Israel and Iran at the Democratic National Convention was because he didn't want to upset the Muslim American voters who are trying to re-elect him into office or maybe it was something else entirely I'm not sure. Romney's Economic policies might not be up to par with Obama's due to not being specific enough about what he'd do to fix the U.S. Economy, sure he might represent the 1% of America by feeding the rich and raising taxes on the poor even though the GOP have been about cutting taxes especially for the Middle Class and the Poor. It seems like he's our best bet right now over Obama with the way things are playing out right now in foreign policy however the odds are greatly stacked against him and his campaign right now.

    I kinda wish that they had dropped the whole tokens deal and aimed for a mid range selesnya, as it would have made for some nice decks and would have some decent synergy with a lot of cards in innistrad block. I guess that wouldnt make flavour/story sense though.

    Yeah same here, Populate is such a one-sided mechanic that it makes it hard for people like me to use Selesnya based cards that isn't directly related to spamming creature tokens. Selesnya Charm just pales in comparison to Rith's Charm IMO. It has much better abilities to choose from instead of going with one good spot removal ability where the other two abilities are only good in Limited.

    We all know Izzet, Golgari, and Azorius are getting the best cards in RTR. Why Wizards would only choose 2 Guilds to give horribly designed cards to being Selesnya and Rakdos I have no idea. Bandwagoning specific Guilds just makes for terrible expansion design IMO. I would at least love to get some good Selesnya stuff for my Uril, the Miststalker Commander deck but it seems like that won't be the case at all this time.

    Didn't Obama recently convert from being a Muslim to a Christian back in 2008 when he got elected despite the criticism he got from Jeremiah Wright? If this country really was founded on American Exceptionalism then do most religions go by the American Values of what this country was founded upon? It should however Islam is a whole other story. For some strange reason their people seem to pervert their own religion through hate speech and violence instead of using free speech and peace to express their opinions.

    So does the far right like Mitt Romney have a valid point in regards to Obama or is it too "extremist"? What If 4 years from now If Obama gets re-elected that everything the Republicans feared about Obama might come true and then we're stuck with a "I told you so" moment when we're stuck in concentration camps? I really hope it doesn't come to that but I guess it goes to show how much American Exceptionalism doesn't sit well with Republicans. It's that it expanded beyond Black Culture after the Civil Rights Movement all the way to the U.S. Government.

    Well he's an African American Muslim who seems to side more with the Palestinians than the Israelis instead of both, then again Iran wants to destroy Palestine and Israel. As for Egypt it seems like they're unfortunately our enemy which has literally abolished the Peace Treaty between them and Israel. The bright side is that Libya is our ally now after everything Obama and Stevens have done there, and If anything Turkey and Saudi Arabia are still U.S. Allies as well.

    I don't think it's in the U.S. Government's best interests to get sucked into two more wars with Syria and Iran when it would take as much military spending to stabilize those regions as we did in Iraq and Afghanistan when the U.S. needs to focus more on fixing the U.S. Economy. It's tough but we can't continue to be the "World Police" forever unless our allies back us up on it. They will only get involved If it's in their own interest to do so and it's not.

    Obama now has 316 Electoral Votes while Romney is expected to have 222 depending If he takes both Ohio and Wisconsin which won't really matter cause Obama already has all the swing states in the palm of his hand. It's sad though however I think that Obama's terrible relationship with Netanyahu might cost him the election unless If he can strengthen his ties with Israel soon If he wins.

    Romney could've proved Presidential discussing the recent tragedy in Libya but instead of speaking a message of unity it was more of a political attack against Obama's foreign policy. If you're running for President you need to play to win instead of playing to score points. If the GOP was serious in this race I'm sure someone else would've been the nominee up against Obama instead of Romney like Ron Paul.

    I've been watching this campaign since it started and there wasn't a single moment when Romney was EVER tough on Obama, he can't even connect with the base, and where he accels as a businessman he lacks in foreign policy. Just seeing the Republicans lose on purpose in this campaign is too pathetic to watch. The Debates next month won't matter all that much especially when we know what's going to happen.

    so according to your logic, if that stupid **** hadn't worn that dress, than this gentlemen right here wouldn't have had to rape her?

    Excellent, all charges will be dropped against this fine gentlemen, AND the woman will serve time for inciting herself to be raped.

    That wasn't my logic at all or at least not the way I interpreted it anyway...

    Quote from Highroller »

    So? How the hell does that make him culpable in any state that values free speech?

    It doesn't however he could have avoided the situation by not making the film in the first place to where none of this would've happened. Islam is very sensitive when it comes to how social media portrays their religion, sure the U.S. is okay with it comedy wise in regards to other religions but sometimes you have to draw the line when something is too offensive to go out in public or leak it onto the Internet for people to view.

    Quote from Highroller »

    You have no idea what you're talking about.

    A crowd came out to protest the film.

    Then about 20 people who are believed to be al Qaeda supporters and were heavily armed came in and opened fire.

    You can be damn certain that an attack on 9/11 by al Qaeda supporters has little if anything to do with a film and everything to do with al Qaeda and bin Laden.

    Further, even if all of this were outrage because of a film, that sure as hell doesn't make it justified. Exactly how detached from reality are you planning on being?

    Dude I'm sorry, no need to jump the gun. I tried to make sense of the situation but apparently I didn't. You're right though, people being angry doesn't justify murder and it never should've resulted in murder in the first place.

    What the hell are you talking about?

    Did the creator of the film say, "You should totally go attack the US ambassador to Libya and do so in this fashion and murder this guy, look at the way I am inciting you to violence?" If not, why on earth would we go after him?

    The creator of the film, "Innocence of Muslims" is Sam Bacile and no he didn't say anything regarding an attack on the U.S. Ambassador of Libya but he should've known about the consequences of enraging Muslims who find the film very offensive to their religion and the Prophet Muhammad. It upset them so bad that Muslims tore down U.S. Embassies in Libya and Egypt, even desecrating American flags and replacing them with Islamic Flags.

    Nakoula Basseley Nakoula was the manager of the company that produced the film so he's actually more to blame for sparking the violence than Sam Bacile did. Had him and his company had never made the "Innocence of Muslims" film then there would of been a very good chance that Chris Stevens would still be alive today. It is possible that al-qaeda could be behind the killings that lead to the ambassador's death but I think it had more to do with the amount of anger the film made that lead to what happened.

    You think Rakdos is terrible in Return to Ravnica? Selesnya is getting alot of terrible cards as well for a subpar game mechanic that isn't even good outside from token generator decks.

    Populate? Really? Phhf, Yeah only If my General was
    Hazezon Tamar instead of Uril, the Mistalker.

    Return to Ravnica pretty much boils down to this for the only playable Guilds in this expansion and Lands:

    * Izzet
    * Azorius
    * Golgari
    * Shocklands

    Rest of the set is garbage.

    Does anybody have any detailed information regarding the film that sparked these recent attacks and who created the film in the first place? Based on what I heard it was leaked on YouTube and for some odd reason Hollywood was about to green-light the film before it hit theaters internationally. All I heard was that the film insulted the Prophet Muhammad like what Trey Parker and Matt Stone did on that one controversial episode of South Park. The creator of the film is the one who should be brought to justice, not the killers themselves who took the life of the U.S. Ambassador of Libya although I'd understand Obama's sentiments for going after the killers.

    Sure the killers had every right to be angry, heck If Muslims were insulting Jesus Christ through a film that hasn't been released yet internationally then you'd probably feel the same way they do except not go crazy and kill people to vent out your anger in the process. This is like what happened in Afghanistan not too long ago when U.S. Soldiers burnt the Quran that sparked a huge amount of protests and violence there, there was no reason for those U.S. Soldiers to do what they did to offend the Muslim Community there. What's wrong with respecting other people's religions even if they're Athiests?

    Why can't our society know the difference between innocent Muslims and bad Muslims? Since 9/11 innocent Muslims have been in the crossfire in all this and it needs to stop. They didn't do anything wrong especially those that immigrate into the U.S. to get away from the violence that spreads throughout their own countries. Sure there's controversies regarding their Islamic policies especially with the Muslim Brotherhood which is a pretty shady political party all in itself but that's for another debate. From the scope of things Sharia Law is technically Islam's version of Constitution Law or the Magna Carta and I've heard some conspiracy theorists thinking that people are trying to implement it into the U.S. or something which hasn't been proven true.

    If Obama wins the Electoral College which is garaunteed for him at this point then what's the point of voting against him If he's going to win a 2nd term regardless of what we think? Shouldn't we at this point move past the Presidential Election and try to vote for Senators and Representatives into Congress to where it's actually functional? 2016 is the real U.S. Presidential Race, not this one.

    Brokered Convention my butt, I doubt a Third Party will make much of a difference this time around. Look at past Elections with Ralph Nader and Ross Perot, they failed miserably. Money equals Free Speech because the Democrats and Republicans have too much money for their own good. Because of this it makes it very difficult for Third Party Candidates to have a say in the matter.

    Also I can already tell that the GOP is very desperate to win Pennsylvania by enacting voter restriction laws that makes it difficult for young people to vote. The funny thing is that Pennsylvania isn't even a swing state like Ohio, Virginia, and Florida which that 1 out of 3 of those States he'll already have enough Electoral Votes to win the Election against Romney. So technically our vote at the polls regardless of how sacred they are don't matter when delegates at Conventions are the real voice of the American people.
