What does it say about a person that the best defense they can come up with for their attitude is "name calling is worse than being an actual racist"?

Right, basically funding something is not supporting it in any way, shape or form. Right.

I think this has already been mentioned, but it's really hard to coexist with other people who don't want you to exist at all. There are some attitudes, opinions, and behaviors that don't get a pass under the auspices of tolerance (or free speech), and bigotry might be at the very top of that list.
The extremist sees only extremists.
Terese Nielsen never sought the destruction of anybody, but plenty of people jumped on the hate train against her, blindly following the blood track of the stabbing against her character.
Then they celebrate to demolished a beloved community member, and go out for the next victim.
At some point people realize that, sadly its most of the time when the finger is pointed at them and its too late ...

You can donate to any political cause or any organization.
The chances you agree with ALL of their points on the agenda are practically zero.
To then pick a hand full of points and pretend that person "must 'clearly' agree with it" is pretentious and to make that claims is a agenda to undermine and harm a persons character ... a very disgusting practice, as people will go to great lengths to seek the misery of others, just to make them feel slightly better about themselves, till they fall back and realize how pathetic that attempt was (which results in an endless loop of finding more people to brandish).

Then again, coexisting means being exposed to things you might not necessarily agree with.
Exactly.

You're missing the point. Are these three UNIQUE to Harry Potter? No. Hell, these aren't unique to the genre. These are also all general school tropes (specifically college), even outside of fiction.Quote from WarMachinePrime »Quote from lookingupanddown »Almost every magic school in fiction (heck, most real-life colleges) has a stadium, Codie and the Sorting Hat are both supposed to be mascots, and Zimone is one of the oldest tropes around. Please, please read more than just Harry Potter.Quote from WarMachinePrime »Quote from user-11102155 »didnt they say no H.P. stuff ? the stadium looks kinda "inspired" by that
Yes Maro said it wasn't HP inspired but you can see card after card they had planned for crossover versions, so he is blowing smoke. This card is the Quiddich Pitch, the new UG Prodigal Student is Hermione, Codie is the Sorting Hat and there are a slew of others. Its obvious it was designed with HP in mind then they didn't get (or didn't want) to get the property rights for those.
I have and that's why I know many cards are a blatant copy.

Yeah. Maro doesn't deserve it, especially when people want to vent their frustrations and the only name-to-a-face they can find most of the time is his. Especially when he is essentially the doorman to a lot of the questions that get asked, only letting approved ones through. Be glad he keeps it up at all, most companies wouldn't keep this up and would rather close shop than deal with irate customers.Quote from Xeruh »I really feel bad for Maro, lot of people give him flak for things that are really out of his control. There are things he says I don't agree with, but a lot of it is really out of his hands.

Eh, Beaver already told me all I need to know about you. You're severely out of touch with reality, zero reason in attempting to reason with you. And I'm not broadly using it as an insult, it's being used for specific people because the alt-right is that. But you also think racism is over and no doubt other insane things so I doubt you'll get the point being made.

And the ones she's defending are people who violently oppose that. You can't live together with people who want to kill you for your differences, no matter how accepting of them you are.
