"Well, there are leaders from each color of mana, right?" Widam nodded after Tork's question. "Well," the goblin continued, "who is the leader of white mana in this world? Is it Keran?"
Widam laughed. "No, my father is also a leader of black mana. Osolos, the general, is his brother, but my father is the king who rules from the castle."
Tork was astonished. "That guy is your uncle?"
"Yep. So, let me introduce you to the Head Priestess at this Temple... who happens to be my mother."

Galeous hurried away, discussing some private matter with his advisors. In the meantime, a strange bug-like creature emerged from the shadows. The scorpion was bright orange and he had two excited and glittering black eyes. His stinger tail was made up of three individual sections, forming a sort of three-fingered hand on his tail.
"Hello there! I am Arazim, Chieftain of the Lava Tails." Arazim pulled back the sharp points of his tail and put it forward like a hand, which Tork nervously grasped and shook.
"The Mines of Kufai are located within the Torona Range, which has been captured by this... Zorruk. I am looking forward to thrashing his armies! For the Lava Tails!" Arazim produced a sword from a sheath on this back and waved it angrily. Behind him, his scorpion warriors gave a war cry! After this, Tork looked around expectantly. "The are survivors, from the Mines of Kufai, the Crystal Forests, and the Molten Sea," interrupted Keran. "They are here!"

"So, this is the famous Gilham?" asked a raspy voice. "I'm very glad to meet you!" It was not a man, like Tork had expected. A tall snake slithered over to meet them, his head up straight. Two arms protruded from his sides and he shook Gilham's hand.

"Keran!" shouted Gilham. "Nice to see you!"
"Who is that?" wondered Tork aloud.
"The king of the shadow realm, Tork," replied Gilham. "But, this is not the castle. We are in the stronghold of the Resistance, who are dedicated to fighting Zorruk's organization."
"Correct, Gilham," Keran the king said. "The castle has been captured by Zorruk. They use our world and our crystal technologies for their own uses," muttered Keran angrily. "Why must they destroy our very way of life!?"
"Father, please, stay calm!" Widam called. "We must focus on the next mission."
"Father? You are the princess, Widam?" asked Gilham. "You never said..."
"I know," the princess replied.
"Hey," added Tork, "where is this exactly?"

"You are under arrest, Colorn," said a guard, seizing him as he stepped off the ship.
"Under what charges?" Colorn replied innocently.
"Threatening the headmaster and conspiring to kidnap a goblin," the guard answered in kind.
"Very well, but let me meet the headmaster. Now."
"I am here already," came Gilham's voice. "I suppose you didn't think about what I said. You came back?"
"Yes, and I will defeat you and take the goblin!" demanded Colorn angrily. He charged forward, raised a sword and stabbed it toward Gilham, who merely sidestepped it. Colorn was immediately blasted by a bolt of lightning from Tork, who stood nearby. Stunned, Colorn fell to the ground and Gilham sadly stabbed him in the chest with an icicle that he summoned forth from his hands.
"Is it finished? Will I be safe now?" asked Tork.
"No... Zorruk will send more to capture you, for you were one of his organization's experiments," explained Gilham. "Hmm, we must take him down from the inside. Quick, Tork! We must head through the shadow portals! The people of the shadow realm are my allies and they will help us find Zorruk."

The evening light spread thinly across the sky, as Colorn headed to the etherworld portal that lead through the realm of shadows, where his superior--that shadow from before--used to dwell. From that dimension, one would easily be able to pass through another portal to another destination: in this case, the Islands of Nath.
Colorn smiled grimly, as he marched through the catacombs. This mission must have been important to his master for it to be entrusted to him. Or did he simply want him out of the way?
"Ehehe! So here you are!" giggled a playful voice from behind him.
"Oh.. Widam!" shouted Colorn, turning around. A strange shadow creature hovered there, waving at him. "I've found you! The master has wished to capture you for sometime now! C'mon now."

"It is clear that you are not the best at all, for you have failed to capture a little goblin and a stupid old man!" shouted the voice. "How could you fail?"
"The old man is powerful, my lord! I could not--"
"That Gilham may be strong, but he is no match for our next project!" roared the shadow. Two bright lights turned on instantly, revealing a suit of armor. "This piece of armor grants one power ten times that of their normal strength. However, it can never be removed!"
"I'll do it," cried Colorn eagerly, running to the suit, where two technicians began to help him assemble it.

I'm sure there would be some way of attaching the Ziggurat to an island without that massive cost and once you do: insane card draw. I don't know, so much repeatable card draw could be deadly. But I could be waaaay off.
The Bastion is okay. I mean, it is basically colorless LD, which is bad, and kind of why strip mine and stuff like that was so strong, right? Even worse than those lands, though, it is repeatable. You can do it EVERY TURN. And with the wandering flagstones: brokenness. You can do it EVERY TURN WITH OUT LOSING LANDS. IN-SANE.
Now, I'd like to leave my comments about Fortifications in general. I enjoy the flavor greatly: you are building a building on the land! But, it dissolves the difference between enchantments and artifacts even more, along with enchantments being able to tap and being creatures.
Artifacts can: tap, fortify lands, be creatures, be colored
Enchantments can: tap, enchant lands, be creatures, be colorless
That's the only real problem I have with fortifications in general, really.
"You already did. Of course," said the princess.

"Excellent. Now, go get that goblin!"
