Haven't posted for awhile, wanted to share my thoughts any way: Lorwyn combines with Shadowmoor and Shadowmoor combines with Alara.

I have a feeling that when they do get around to putting up the master list, this will be the page to go to:

    http://www.wizards.com/magic/tcg/events.aspx?x=mtgcom/events/prereleases

whenever I click on any particular region though, I get a page error and nothing shows, I don't know if it's this computer/IE or their site.

For right now though, you can figure out who's holding pre releases by using the tournament locater here:

    http://webapp.wizards.com/tournaments.aspx

No, it's not your computer. Wizards messed up on the links to the various regions: click on one, and go to the url. Remove the "dev." in front of wizards and the random number that goes after wizards, and there we go, the correct page appears.

Alright, this is for Launch Parties. How about the Prereleases? The Launch Parties occur on the 3rd, 4th, or 5th of October but the Prereleases take place on the 27th or something of September. Now I'm wondering if these strange shard rules apply to the Prereleases in addition to the Launch Parties...?

Yeah, I didn't understand everything about it. I just went to them and had fun, not knowing exactly how it all worked. And now, I didn't understand why the changes would shut down the large events, until it was explained. The websites didn't mention stopping the large PRs, so I assumed it would be the same.

Yes, I've been to basically all the prereleases since Darksteel. I had no idea why prereleases now being part of the Wizard's Play Network thing would now stop all the large prereleases, until you guys explained it to me. (Why would you assume I hadn't been to any PRs before?)

So, what exactly is so bad about this? I'm not quite sure I follow why this news is being taken with such negativity; what does this even change in the first place? From what I can tell, the large prereleases will still take place...

Um, why is mine overcosted? First off, things tend to cost more when they use Hybrid mana. Secondly, it also gives a free spirit link and power boost. I don't see it. This was my thinking:

2 mana: vicious hunger < 3 mana: 3 damage and 3 life < 4 mana: spirit link and boost

Um, Death Rattle is just a way to make green creatures (supposed to be the best) more relevant in games. I clearly remember an Ask Wizards regarding that card.

I'm sorry riddle, but I would like to ask you to take a look at my card again. I don't believe it is broken at all, only bomb-level powerful; why? Simple: if you control 3 white permanents, the cost is RR and you can't use the tap ability at all. Okay, so you do get a cheap burn spell, but it costs RED mana while your deck, with 3 white permanents that likely need plains, is a white deck. There is a lower likelihood of being able to play it at all.

One more thing: Affinity was only broken with artifacts and artifact lands.

Hmm, good cards. I like the idea of Haggling Match, but honestly, it can be easily broken. For instance, anyone could use a variety of cards to place, oh say, Draco on top of his or her library. Then, they can make any artifacts cost 0 mana to play. Why? Because of this phrase in clash: "puts that card on the top or bottom". See, you can leave Draco on top each time you clash and ALWAYS win, making stuff like Darksteel Colossus easy to play. Very easy.

Finish Him is honestly not fun. I would not want to play against a card where it call comes down to luck if you lose or not. It sounds neat on paper, but not so much in real life methinks.

I want these in MSE 2... It makes so much sense to put these in. I have no skills to do render something like this myself.

Note that the second one doesn't work; the loyalty counter put on trigger appears when "it comes into play" not when it is flipped. Of course, a simple rules change would make it all better. Smile Or you could say "Put {so and so} many counters on this and flip it".

They seem balanced. The second one seems to be one of those hard to flip but powerful when flipped, while the other seems easier to flip but not as strong. I like that; however, I dislike how the first one requires merfolk to be played. I never liked the tribal triggers on flip cards... Unless.. the flavor made it really cool or something, but simply "playing" merfolk spells seems boring.

    Surge of Dunes 3RR
    Instant
    Affinity for white permanents
Surge of Dunes deals 4 damage to target creature or player.
If you paid white mana to play Surge of Dunes, you may tap two target creatures.
“What burns the skin, yet has no flame?” —Edruun riddle

A simple cycle that has affinity for permanents of another color. Note that not all will be enemy colors and not all will be friendly colors. The Edruun are a tribe that live in the desert, so guess what the answer to the riddle is! The flavor of the tapping is blinding the creature with sand.

Ah, thanks. Oh, but I do have a question so that I can get my card interactions right. When is this applied in terms of layers? Is it after P/T reducing/increasing effects?
