Eh..I've seen other decks do it (Modern to Legacy ports) and be competitive. Humans during its peak was one that made me pause. I'm still not fussed. Until we see it push for top 8/16 levels that at the LEAST match UR Phoenix, its pretty hard to make an argument for banning.
As to some of the banter in here, just use the ignore folks. Its there for a reason, and the forum improves dramatically once you do so.
The screenshot of that Turn 2 board state say's a lot about what can be done in the format. If people choose to not interact that is.
After they said in the last revision they have several combos on the watch list, I wouldn't be surprised if they went ban happy and banned and unbanned several cards. Not just 1 change, but more.
Because when I watch what Modern has become in videos like this one, oh man, I feel so bad. Will fair decks become legal again? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFFcOJH3TIk&t=329s
Fair decks are improved by Hogaak existing and warping the meta however.
The problem is, as demonstrated last weekend, that Paper players especially do not jump to it as quickly as they could/should, for a number of reasons. There are other problems, but its not because its pushing out fair decks.
No worries. I'm just looking at it from a perspective of reprint potential. As such, with the history here and Maro's comments, and the new text we see instead...it could potentially get very expensive.
Actual Prowess? I believe the last would be Bloodwater Entity. Maro is on record as saying Prowess is problematic, and the closer text is from Dominaria, such as Adeliz, the Cinder Wind
Thats what its going to take to remain Tier 1 now. You must have multiple plan's, be able to pivot to them quickly, and either present an unanswerable boardstate, lock your opponents out, or generate such fundamental advantage that their plan becomes meaningless.
Its the same as my issue really with all the GY hate. There are SO MANY decks that could leverage the yard, but if you are not doing that PLUS 1 or 2 other busted things, you dont get to hang with the big kids table.
I just wanted to throw this out there as my own personal experience with card stock/quality.
There is a NOTICABLE difference between NA English, Euro English, and Japanese prints.
The stock between Euro/Japanese seems about the same, the saturation appears sharper on the Japanese, and the colours are by far the best on Japanese. If like me you dont just get the cards to play, but to collect or display, there is no question at all that the NA English is utter trash, and Japanese is superior.
I'll never get another card I wish to keep, that is not a Japanese print.
Little Teferi is terrible in Modern, terrible in Standard, will be terrible in Historic, and is likely the worst design mistake in years.
I think its positively laughable that people think Big Teferi, is worse than T3feri, for the game. I'm comfortable saying that Esper would dominate Historic, if it was played competitively, for some time.
Remember way way back when we were asking if Modern was going to be Little Legacy or Big Standard? At this point I think it is fair to say that Modern is Little Legacy. Historic is going to be Big Standard. It will be a lower powered non-rotating format post New World Order.
And it will have both Teferi, Narset and instant Time Warps.

Yeah I was not happy to see the increase on that one, I sold mine some time ago. :[
True Prowess, I dont see coming back.
Awesome. I hope it holds.
Was not opened much, was a small set I believe, Prowess is not going to be printed again, and its above curve, and its a Mythic.
Better hope for another Eternal Set, or its going to stay up there.
Deck power in the last 8 months has increased dramatically.

If (and its a big if) Historic becomes a competitive paper format, I 100% am positive Little Teferi will be banned, day 1. The card is not fine.
