Oops.. I'll find something else to put in that place, I appologise on my oversight, I know better than to do something like that.... I'll have to brainstorm on this one.....

I plan to get at least one Cloister to counter Owling. I am going to put in my ink eyes and Yosei due to my oversight with the bridges. I'll pull those out and put the mentioned cards in their place. I'll also put a few castigates in since I took them out of the early version. I thank you guys so far and I welcome any other suggestions.....

    here's the deck....

My concerns on this deck is mainly a way to finish the opponent, thus the small splash of red. I have a Yosei and an Ink Eyes, but I have no more big creatures except the Ghost Council. I forgot Bottled Cloister, and unfortunatly I don't have any extractions.... I'm open to any suggestions.....

What do you guys think of a W/B toolbox deck that is WB control with 2,3,and 4 cc cards transmuting these with Shred memory, Dimir Mechinations, and Dimir House Guard. The idea is to have 1 ofs and 2 ofs in the main deck and to stabilize the deck post sideboarding...

Any thoughts on this? I'll post a decklist soon....

Any answers to Giant Solifuge? The untargetablilty is a pain.

It appears that the Shard Phinoxes in the sideboard is for that.... Instant speed sac for 2 to all creatures takes care of a Solifuge easily....

This must have been why the set is supposed to be 180 some cards. The split cards are the curve ball they are throwing us.......

It screams more cards to target Ledgewalker with.... Graft might have some uses depending on the graft you're putting on the creature and the creature it's going onto.....

It also depends on if you have to target you creatures also... If not, Solifuge is a perfect target for grafting onto. It's powerful enough as it is without it getting bigger and tougher.....

Even if your opponent runs all nonbasic lands, if they run signets it only slows them down for alittle.... It would turn off Kird's ability but that's just about it.......

Personally I'm surprised that no one has mentioned signets yet....

You must use a blanket spell in any circumstance with Ledgewalker.... After playing a new deck with both in it, the ledgewalker is my MVP against any removal.... Putrify, Mortify, burn or bounce, the Ledgewalker is king....

There, I feel better. I've finally made a decision......

Char.... Sorry about going off topic, but that reminds me of the time that I played helix in response to my opponent's char... "OK, you'll take 5 and I'll take 1..... Good deal."

I do like your point.... I prefer both overall..... I have seen situations however where my opponents used a mass removal spell just to get rid of the Ledgewalker and another ubiquitous creature. If it would have been Spohie instead it would have been pinpointed instead.....

I still stand by the fact that both are nigh-unblockable, and in my opinion the extra power is equal to the untargetability of the ledgewalker...... but that's just my opinion.....

I guess I'll wait a few more pages again and quip again then.....

If you see mass removal like Wrath first game, drop only what you need to kill.... If you see targeted removal, put a good creature down that your opponent wants to kill then followup with creatures en masse.... It just depends on the matchup. I plan to add at least creaping mold or naturalize for sideboard. If I do splash it will be in the sideboard for surprise factor.

Edit: many times I've killed with a lone ledgewalker.....

I think that both are equal. With ledgewalker you get the untargetability and evasion whereas with Sophisticate you get an aditional power to deal damage with. Both are great in standard and that's why I run both in my monogreen stompy. In fact I've killed 5th to 6th turn with the following deck....

I've had great success with this deck in the few times I've played it so far and I look very worward to playing it at a tournament in the near future. I think in addition to ledgewalker vs Sophisticate, we could look at Cloak vs Armor in another thread. There is a balance of recursion vs power if I've seen one. Overall between the Ledgewalker and Sophisticate, it would depend on your playing style and the deck you are facing.......

The pre-releases have pretty much always been spoiled. I haven't been able to recall a single one in 6 years where the whole set hasn't been on the net by the night before (thanks to Wizards, not unintentional leaks). By all means, stay off the net before the pre-release and enjoy the freshness all you want.

I subscribe to the MTG-L list myself for at least a couple of years and WOTC always puts the FAQ in the list the night before with all the cards in it. Sites like this one are here for those who want to find out the leaks. I feel that we should be able to have alittle more than what they give us.....

I've been playing MTG for 11 years and looking at Rumor mills (lurking more accuratly) for at least 2 - 3 years now. Personally I think that they have a curve ball in store with the increased size third set of this block and they want to keep us totally in the dark on this one. The unfortunate problem with this is that they could be alienating a large section of their communitiy in the process...
