May one activate Cursecatcher's ability without a target spell on the stack? IOW, can one sac it without countering anything? (The situation - user might want to sac it in order to trigger some other "when a creature is sacced" effect.) We believe the answer is "yes" but we are unsure - can anyone affirm one way or the other?
Basic idea? Equip Chameleon Colossus with Grafted Exoskeleton. If need be, grant the Colossus safe passage with the Scuttlemutt (its second ability can make a key blocker black) or the Sejiri Steppe. It's the kind of thing where, once the pieces are orchestrated, you need only 1 attack to win.
Oh - and games have been won with Grafted Harbingers or Birds, too, but those are clearly backup strategies.
Since it's a essentially a combo deck, the removal suite (Path, Judgment) to remove threats, and lifegain (Elixir, Command), to slow the game down. Plus the Command searches for the Colossus (or Scuttlemutt if need be), and the Elixir improves future draws.
Would have preferred Sword of Body and Mind over the one of Vengeance, but I have none. OTOH, the Vengeance's 1st strike, trample, and vigilance have been key more than once.
Sideboard sucks; some comments there are welcome for sure.
I am unsure how Infect and Poisonous work when together on a single creature.
For example, if I have Virulent Sliver equipped with a Grafted Exoskeleton, in the absence of any effects or block, how many poison counters will it "deal" to the defending player after combat?
Hey, good to hear from mistercakes, how ya doin' guy?
Yep; New World Manga is great, as is Dewey's (was at the latter for their Sunday SoM Prerelease; went with a few other people and we had an awesome time).

Just got home from a local store; when I was there I was looking through their singles and picked up a couple copies of Opportunity which I am considering for a couple Highlander decks. Anyway, both are from Urza's Legacy, but I didn't notice something until I got home: one is black-bordered and one is white-bordered.
Does this make sense? Might one be counterfeit (although I'm thinking there are much better cards to to counterfeit, if one is going to be a criminal!)?
Sorry; this isn't perfectly clear to me... If I have a Beastbreaker of Bala Ged out, while a Doubling Season is also in play under my control, and pay 2G for a level counter, how many counters do I add to the Beastbreaker?

Thoughts?

Similarly, same question for (a) Virulent Sliver enchanted with a Snake Cult Initiation, or (b) Cystbearer enchanted with a Snake Cult Initiation

a) Does the Angel come into play? (I believe the answer is yes, as its protection is irrelevent while in GY)
b) Does the Angel get the +1/+1 counter? (I believe the answer is yes becuase the Angel is no longer being targeted at that moment)
