I am seriously considering to play a RWU now with the added fact that Geist can viably thrown into the mix. Would anyone have a sample decklist of Geist in the mainboard?
I am fairly new to Burn myself, but looking at your sideboard. Why don't you try a 2/2 split between smash to smithereens and rakdos charm since you are already splashing black? I personally do not play enough to test such things but I always liked that card and felt that if splashing black then to add something like that.
I really like the list at Milan, it definitely was an interesting list and I would like to see more people explore some possibilities with going old school Affinity. I went ahead and got some of the cards that were used, still working on my budget before I can get everything but any thoughts or changes that would be made for the main board from Milan? I personally never really like having 4 signal pest.
I am very interested to see results for Stubborn Denial myself. I am currently building an Affinity deck(a new Affinity player) and was planning on grabbing some foil spell pierces. But would it be a bad idea to run 1 spell pierce and one denial? I like how aggro Affinity can be but I prefer a more reactive play style with combat tricks which I think I see from SOME Affinity builds.
I am a burn player myself and I really don't know too much about Affinity. How well does an Affinity deck handle large creatures or swarms of creatures? From my research, it seems like what really stops Affinity is hate cards specifically for artifacts.
Sorry about that. Thanks for the quick reply also. Just looking at some cards and like what many people are saying, I feel as if burn is in a weird state right now also. Configurations for colors is really up to the player which is not too much of a bad thing. I don't think Cruise will be banned but as of right now I still like my Mardu burn.
I like the idea of Dark Confidant that was suggested earlier. Anyone else test out a build using him?
I am trying to invest into a foiled out Affinity deck, any advice on which cards I should be targeting first to spend the least on making this deck? I plan to buy the deck over the year so I am not in any rush to buy all the cards I need just yet. I have 4 ornithopters, 4 vault skirges, 4 darksteel, and 4 springleaf so far.
Has everyone been checking on StarCity? Looking at the tournament results, burn has been doing pretty well and I even saw someone using Monastery Swiftspear. I am not really liking faithless looting in that build but I can see why it would be used.
@Rumpy5897 I know how you feel, I have been playing burn for such a long time, and now that I have the money to buy some Goblin Guides, they spike in price. :'(
Would now be a good time to pick up foils for shock lands? I am working on my burn deck and I have been wanting to splash some white lately. Would picking up foils of boros charm and lightning helix right now also be a good time? Yeah, I probably shouldn't be grabbing foils but I hardly buy cards, and I simply just want to grab some foils because I like them.
