    a 3 mana minimum for a hard counter is no surprise and a good standard. Some things should be able to slip under the counterspell radar. I am a blue mage myself; but it would be very unintelligent(not a very blue quality) to fail to see that blue has been given some of the most powerful mechanics in the game. Islands have dominated magic from day one and those times when they didn't stand as exceptions to the rule, not as refutations of blue's dominance.

    The absurd level WOTC went to in the Onslaught block is no excuse for us to be complaining about balanced possibilities in the metagame today. And it's awfully short-sighted (and not very blue) to become impassioned about a single card that they made that isn't tournament worthy. Don't get Frazzled, you'll only show yourself unworthy of being blue. Grin

    Tin Street Hooligan - :1mana::symr:
    Creature - Goblin Rogue (C)
    When Tin Street Hooligan comes into play, if green mana was spent to play Tin Street Hooligan, destroy target artifact.
    2/1

    Solid limited pick. Could find a place in a deck, but won't create a deck.

    AEtherplasm - :2mana::symu::symu:
    Creature - Illusion (U)
    Whenever AEtherplasm blocks a creature, you may return AEtherplasm to its owner's hand. If you do, you may put a creature card from your hand into play blocking that creature.
    1/1

    Soon to be broken. Blue now has a stinkweed imp that will hold off attackers just as well. This card looks like a win condition for a blue-tooth variant that uses the overcosted fat in this block.

    Burning-Tree Bloodscale - :2mana::symr::symg:
    Creature - Viashino Berserker (C)
    Bloodthirst 1
    :2mana::symr:: Target creature can't block Burning-Tree Bloodscale this turn.
    :2mana::symg:: Target creature blocks Burning-Tree Bloodscale this turn if able.
    2/2
    Illus. Kev Walker

    see: woodwraith strangler

    Droning Bureaucrats - :3mana::symw:
    Creature - Human Advisor
    X,Tap: Each creature with converted mana cost X can't attack or block this
    turn.
    1/4
    Illus. Kev Walker

    Why not "Creature - Vogon Advisor"?

    Goblin Flectomancer - :symu::symr::symr:
    Creature - Goblin Wizard (U)
    Sacrifice Goblin Flectomancer: You may change the targets of target instant or sorcery spell.
    2/2
    Illus. Matt Cavotta

    I know they're experiementing and all, but the whole uneven dual-color mana requirement thing is just too wierd. There's just no logical reason for these kinds of costs. At best it's an inconsistant drawback.

    Living Inferno - :6mana::symr::symr:
    Creature - Elemental (R)
    :symtap:: Living Inferno deals damage equal to its power divided as you choose among any number of target creatures. Each of those creatures deals damage equal to its power to Living Inferno.
    8/5
    John Avon

    This card makes me wish I was a Timmy. I want it to be playable, but alas, Spike is always right.

    Ogre Savant - :4mana::symr:
    Creature - Ogre Wizard (C)
    When Ogre Savant comes into play, if U was spent to play Ogre Savant, return target creature to its owner's hand.
    3/2
    Paolo Parents

    I know Man-o'-war was over the power scale, but doesn't this bring the scale down a little too much?

    Petrahydrox - :3mana::symur:
    Creature - Weird (C)
    When Petrahydrox becomes the target of a spell or ability, return Petrahydrox to its owner's hand.
    3/3
    Illus. Anthony S. Waters

    This card is a powerhouse, nearly unkillable. You can save it yourself if you have a spell, they have a tough time killing it. It's also filling the crucial creature slots of the sparsely-bodied Izzet. You just have to steer clear of repeated ability targeting. Still, this card is amazing.

    OK I'm trying to find out how ppl perfer to see MTG Salvation: Defualt, Light, Dark(Night)
    I include Night because, if it is possible its the Skin I would use.

    It sounds like a good option; eyes can get pretty tired ot the white-glare after a while. But the reversed black and white could screw with people's sigs...

    It is. They were probably angry the Snap mechanics were revealed while they still have not been decided yet. It wasn't R_E fault because he got them from an unknown source.

    How have the snap mechanics not been decided yet? This must have been a few months ago, since snap should be finalized by now. They're at least a year ahead in development.

    Well, most people probably just check by to read the spoiler. Why bother to register?

    for the guild mana symbols. And the custom avatar/ custom banner. That's why I finally registered. I got tired of using pichu on the wizards boards.

    Besides, posting helps kill time between card leaks.

    Really funny banner, well-spaced links, good art. Not cluttered at all. 1/2 point off for possible offensiveness, but only 1/2 since the offended parties won't stay that way long.

    Really strange stuff, there. Not terribly cool, but it does have a touch of progressivly hip. The speed is a little off-putting. I can't decide if it's too fast or too slow. It's just tough to read. Still, quite a unique sentiment and pleasant.

    Rancored Elf hasn't done anything illegal or immoral. This is most likely a scare tactic to try to cow him into quiting his position. If they succeed, not only will he suffer, but we can also look forward to much more of this kind of pressure form WOTC in the future. It's important that you email Wizards NOW, so that we can show solidarity, numbers and our support for Rancored Elf and spoilers in general.

    Too bad about the invoke the firemind cost, though... I think the testers don't realize that ramping the costs for an X mana spell isn't the same as ramping the costs for any other spell. For starters, as a spell, the card doesn't have the sort of basic value that a creature does, the power/toughness that acts as a buffer to increased suckage with increased cost. Secondly, ":xmana::symu::symu::symr:" makes this card unplayable for either effect, not to mentioned that its completely outclassed by any number of cards.

    Guildpact Blue/Red is looking to be pretty decent, with the numerous synergy cards that are flying about and the most powerful mechanics in the game (counter, burn, draw, LD)

    ...And it looks like it doesn't. Heh. Well, If anyone knows how to do this/ attatch pictures, could you tell me how or where to look?

    Thanks.
