I'm gonna make a cube with digital alters that I'll be making myself. I'm wondering how could I balance the cards with the current ones so I could include some cards that I like for example Akroma, Angel of Wrath. If I were to include Elder Gargaroth, or some of this cards that wins you the game if the enemy has no immediate answer, then Akroma's level of power would be laughable.
So I've thought of adjusting the power level of the cards by modifying the mana cost. For example if I were to include Akroma and Elder Gargaroth I could make both of them six drops. But would that make them as playable as each other?
So then I wonder how would you modify a specific card so that each card is as playable as every other card in the cube. How would you compare the power of a card to know how much it needs to be modified to make it more or less powerful so they all meet at a point where you feel they have the power that you enjoy the most?
Ok I've been thinking how to make the dividers since I don't have any clue of a place where I could print them. I've thought of making them with cards. I would need 4 cards for each divider as I want them to be around 96mm of height compared to the 88mm of the cards. I would cut two cards in half and two cards 8 mm higher than half, and then I would paste them all together so I have an 96mm divider. Then with the templates to make digital renders I would print the top of the dividers and paste it on bot sides. Maybe I'll print the full 96 mm in different colors so they stand out even more, and to cover the cut in the middle of the divider. I'll post a picture if I decide to make them.
I'm trying to find where to get custom dividers like. To sort the collection by color, spell type, and CMC. I really like this:
Right now I have my collection sorted like this,
as Set > Color > Rarity. And I use white cardboard for labeling the sets, and blue, black, red, green, yellow, grey, brown. To separate the colors, artifacts and lands. But now I'm ordering my collection as Color > Type > CMC > Collector number. I'm reordering it to find the playsets for all cards in the same place. Right now the reprints are in different boxes.
I want to find how to get or make some custom dividers that stand out to make it easier to find what I'm looking for. I've thought about printing a label like the one in the image and pasting it into a card then folding it on the top so it can stay above the rest of the cards. It wouldn't be as high quality as the ones above but I don't have any idea of how to get or make some like those.
Hello I have my collection of renders a bit abandoned would somebody care to upload some more renders if I gave him edit access? Not deleting anything just adding some renders they find cool.
By the way, do you know of more digital render collections? Most of the ones from the firsts pages of this thread are no longer visible, maybe someone saved them.
HolyProxyBatman I see you are still posting if you could upload the ones you've been making in a single link it would be really nice.
I played with the guild kits and I didn't like the golgari. It didn't have creatures in the graveyard so most cards were very weak. How would you improve it a bit?
I have a Battle Box with the Guilds of Ravnica Guild Kits and I want to adapt some decks to be balanced with those decks. Decks should be below $50, with around 35 different cards and no more than a couple copies of each. I would also like to add a deck for each khans of tarkir clan. I have ideas for mardu and temur, I need to water down the deck to make it like a duel deck and I need some idea for abzan, jeskai and sultai.
I've made a budget cube with cards from M13 and before below $0.5. I started by looking which are the top cards in cubetutor for those sets. Here are the most played cards from M13 and before below $1 sorted by cube appearance:
I only have to fix the number of cards for each guild, so there are 80 multicolor cards for a total of 540 cards. I would also like to include the most iconic magic cards under $0.5 like serra angel. Which ones come to mind for you?
I thought I would spend a lot of money testing this decks but as they are only $1 on mtgo I can buy a couple with the prize I won yesterday in a free tournament. I'm really enjoying this format.
Well now I've seen that there are penny dreadful decks that costs $90 in paper. What I wanted was cheap and powerful decks. So actually I'd want to know which Penny Dreadful decks you would select that are around $30 in paper.
I didn't like a couple decks I've played agains like Jeskai Awakening because I would have to explain the deck before my friends can play it.
There is a deck that has won me in the finals of the PDS tournament today and I've hated it because I couldn't do anything except watch. That's the kind of deck if you play with your friends they won't like to play often. Yosei Approach https://gatherling.com/deck.php?mode=view&id=62050
The deck archetype is Cloudy With Sunny Spells and has a 65% win rate.
