shall we have a few burn spells for more reach? i think around 24 lands/22 creatures/14 spells, give or take, should be good for zoo. i am only basing off the general philosophy of zoo in other formats. it's uncertain if it could outrace another aggro decks or hold enough gas for other match-ups.
hi. the deck idea is very interesting. i am building (copying) your sample list to try it out. i also found an interesting take on this via youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfF_tYA8ugE
i don't mean to hijack the thread. i happen to be interested in entering pauper as well. what should a affinity sideboard look like? what are the good and bad match ups?
the above is a rough draft of my list. i've read some sb-ing choices but have trouble fitting everything into a 15 card slot. that's much like how i am when it comes to magic. #isuck
thank you for all feedbacks. i realize the deck would probably require an entire facelift if i want it to be completely modernized. the original essence of this version will be lost. instead of going with that approach. it might be easier to find better direct replacement cards for hacker's deck instead.
Hi folks, I recently found a this championship deck that was used to teach me how to play the game. I haven't been keeping up with mtg for years now... I wonder if y'all could help me update this deck with new technologies to give it a modern twist. I will then keep the deck and use it to teach newcomers to the game.
hi. i am relatively new to the extended scene and i wonder what cards i can cut/replace for a more budgeted version of this deck? i notice there are several win-cons for this deck, out of which is the cheapest to build?
sorry for such noob question, any help is appreciated.
I've got to second that the deck with Brute Force, Griffin Guide and Swiftblade, plus the sliver suite is good. I've been testing it for awhile now, and Boros Swiftblade is a racehouse that you just ride into victory. On paper it may looks that even with a full 8-set of guide/force there's not enough interaction for swiftblade to be worth playing, but it's not the same in practice. Once you start playing with it, the explosive nature of the deck is very evident and really hard to ignore. You get a little worried about Griffin Guide stabbing you in the eye, but the fact of the matter is that if they cannot answer a swiftblade sporting the griffin coat, then more often then not you just win, and 8 damage from him and brute force is nothing to sneeze at either.
I use to not be on board with it, but after playing with it for several games, I'm starting to be a believer.

i think the token-wincon or even stomp seem more difficult to deal with than fireballs.
