Usually against Abzan, I find Blood Moon strongly restricts their ability to actually... do things. But while I think we're favoured, we're not that favoured.

Hoogland did a video on the Jund Haakon Loam deck recently, although he called it Abzan Loam Pox. Deck performed very well, and Jeff was really enjoying it. You can catch the vod on his youtube channel if you'd like to see it in action. I'd definitely play it if Lilianas and Verdants weren't so expensive.

If I was going to make a single suggestion even before I try the deck (I'm gonna try the deck, it looks sweet!) it'd be that you should probably have a basic Mountain in the manabase. When we're destroying our own lands as much as we are, getting locked off of red by a Field of Ruin or a Ghost Quarter could be very bad for us. Further, there are times when you just need to be able to fetch a red source that comes in untapped and doesn't shock you.

The word 'tier' does not mean what you think it means.

I've seen people playing TES where they swapped Probe for Thoughtseize and didn't miss a beat. I don't see why ANT can't do the same.

I'm glad Probe's gone in Legacy as well as Modern, being able to look at an opponent's hand without having to pay mana is a very powerful effect, especially when you've got "draw a card" attached.

I'm honestly willing to reconsider Treasure Cruise's brokenness with Gitaxian Probe out of the format, to be honest, but I'm aware I'm in a minority here.

I agree, in general, but I feel that Leyline is simply the most powerful GY hate effect we have access to that doesn't screw our gameplan over. Nihil Spellbomb can be decent, but a one-off effect rather than a static one is often just not good enough.

I don't think the "pitch it to Looting" argument magically makes Leyline good, I just think that it offsets the downside of Leyline enough to make running it for graveyard matchups - which do come up - the best option, rather than less effective hate pieces.

Sigarda can also help against Emrakul decks - take the hit, don't sac, and try to kill on the backswing.

As much as I dislike Leylines as cards in general, it's the general plan I go too, if only because we can throw them away for value if we draw redundant pieces.

Using an artifact hatepiece against a deck which mains 3 K-Commands anyway also seems somewhat difficult.

As a general rule, I think that you want to use your discard before you start looting, but even that's context dependant.

Being able to buy back Worldbreaker could be added to the list of "Eldrazi coming back", but that's a very infrequent case from what I've seen among Tron players.

I also don't like the Godless Shrine, especially since all of our fetches can get basic swamps anyway and our fast lands produce black as well.

I admittedly don't like Liliana in the Mardu deck at all, since I don't want to be adding more three drops and I think the deck is just as good without her, but it could be a specific meta dependent thing.

In the various Highlander formats, you can combo off with Pod and any 3 drop. Pod the three drop for a Felidar Guardian, blink Pod. Pod the Guardian for a Karmic Guide, getting back Guardian, blink Pod. Pod Guardian again, getting Kiki Jiki, copy Karmic Guide, get back Felidar Guardian, blink Kiki and then combo off.
