Caught it last night and loved it. Sadly, one of the friends I saw it with actually managed to walk away and not realize what the point of the story was. He did say that he liked the action, though. The other people we were with turned to him in unison and spelled out clear as day that it was a movie about race. I am still not sure that he got the message.
While I am eagerly awaiting this game as well, I'm afraid I must burst your bubble by informing you that it will be on the PS3 as well.
I'm of course loving the fact that Jack Black is voicing the main character. The screen shots look amazing as well. Their aim was to make any shot from the game look like the cover art of a rock album, and I think that with the first gameplay trailer, I can say that they accomplished that goal.
Well they don't re-size them for a wide screen television it is tough to play them with a HDTV.
FF VII also looks really really bad in my opinion since it was the first 3D FF game. For its day it looked pretty nifty but now it just looks ridiculous.
Um... not to point out the obvious...but it IS over 10 years old. The window of growth from 32 bit graphics to the current 256 is rather dramatic. It'd be like comparing the gas mileage of a 70's racer to a modern Prius.
I've been tinkering around with Prototype for the past few days..
As much as I try, I cannot avoid comparing it to inFamous, but it still stands up fairly well. I have a few gripes, but after playing something as streamlined as inFamous, I'm not surprised. Climbing precise areas can be frustrating, and jumping too hard can send you soaring off into a completely unintended direction. And I'm not sure if it's jsut the tv I'm using, but all of the finer lettering (subtitles, info boxes, menu map) seem absurdly small and difficult to read.
That aside, if you can ignore them, it's shaping up to be pretty fun. The last time I got to play a game where you are flat-out evil was God of War 2.
Well now, this certainly looks interesting. Although now I can't keep from thinking that a Chobits/Bubblegum Crisis vie will resonate throughout. Ah well. Still looks good, and I'll probably see it.
I'll be seeing it this weekend due to all the good I've heard about it. And while I'm not a very emotionally charged person, I'll admit that Wall-E made me shed a few tears the first time around. If this is anything close to that in terms of connection, then I'll likely feel just sad at many points.
Well, despite it being June, this morning we nearly had a frost advisory. I woke to 40 degree weather. Walking outside on June 4th should not involve seeing your breath.
Then, when I get out of work eight hours later, it's almost 70. Gogo gadget flux.
The morality system seems fine by me...really the only part it will impact you is in terms of getting exclusive powers. At the onset of the game, I was actually going out of my way to switch between good and evil. That was a lot of killing.
The game is actually pretty decent, and I'm interested to know if they'll be able to do a sequel. Not done with it yet, but I'm getting close.
And as of now, I'm about 14 shards away from getting all 350. I'll be going so far as to do a building by building search before the final showdown. As for the shards you get for being nice against being evil...I did what needed to be done for more shards. I have a feeling you might get shorted if you play it too safe or too recklessly.
This is just a sad story. Tiller deserved better. This coming not far behind the WI woman that prayed for her diabetic daughter to get better instead of going to a doctor is only doing more to reaffirm my disinterest in Christianity. These extremists make me sick, and it all reminds me of an editorial I once read that reminded everyone of what the actual definition of terrorism is. People like Roeder fit the bill.
Eh, it could very well be referring to the acts performed by the antagonists in the game.
I'm now being mocked by the count that shows up now when I nab a blast shard. I'm 14 away from getting all 350 of them. It better be worth it.
So, just how hard is it to play as the evil version? I'm going to be doing that likely later this week seeing how close I am to beating the game while good. I'm even hopefully going to get the trophy, if the final encounters do not prove to be terribly impossible.
Nothing truly out of the ordinary here in Milwaukee...although we did have a St. Patrick's day that teased the 80's. That would have been nice if it hadn't been a workday.
Seems like Summer and Spring are still fighting each other though...we'll have a cooler week followed by a warmer week. The equilibrium has not been met yet.
I'm looking forward to the summer season, but I'm just as happy with 45 and slightly overcast. I can take on any weather with little griping. This winter there was a solid one week period where I hadn't noticed my room was getting no heat. It was almost as cold inside as out. I barely noticed.

Anyone have anything to say about it?
I actually got spooked by this film, and I laughed quite a bit, even if it was a bit of my own sick sense of humor.

And yes, I love these movies. I think my fave was in the third one
