I'm thinking the "snow restriction" may not be as much of a restriction as people are speculating. What if the new duals read, "___ ETBT if you control another snow permanent." That way the new duals are almost effecivealy legendary if you're playing a high number of these new snow duals, but enter untapped on turn 1. These proposed duals would alter legacy manabases but would be funtionally similar enough to real duals that legacy could still function, even if they did end up banning RL cards in legacy.
Edit: or "ETBT unless you reveal a snow permanent from your hand."
We have a collectible swap meet type of place where I can find boxes for around 80 or 85 but it's only open Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings. My local shop sells the most recent sets for 3.99 each or 3 for ten, and boxes for 100. It's sort of a deal for me, even after tax. It gives me a reason to feed my pack-cracking addiction as well.
Oh also, dunno if it was a pricing error but one Walgreens had them for 2.39 each.
I saw some people questioning the veracity of this new release being an actual reprinting of the set, or if WOTC was simply sitting on the "second wave" of Eternal Masters we never got. If so, they effectively became the hoarders they are trying to squash.
Guys, it shouldn't be noteworthy that she's black. And a black character in a story isn't "pandering to minorities" anymore than casting Arnold Schwarzenegger in an action film is pandering to Austrians.
Also, those of you asking for an accentuating feature to identify her, did you guys miss the Psylocke-arm? (But she could have also wore a ribbon in her hair, right?) I don't really get what the controversy is here.
What is all this about humans needing to be in every setting now? What a ridiculous rule. Lack of humans was one of the reasons I enjoyed Lorwyn block. Sounds like either another rule stemming from either a corporate executive's focus group testing or Maro's weird opinions he likes to impose on everyone.
Personally I find it more difficult to relate to non-human characters than human ones. I'd imagine that would apply to most people, a conclusion I arrived at without a focus group. Either way, the idea of (non-planeswalker) humans on Lorwyn is unlikely and no cause for alarm.

The art and themes of the next two upcoming blocks look cool too.
Sure do. The place is great, with unbeatable deals.
