I definently think both these cards are awesome, and I love to play black, but (though I'm sure its been said before) the pricing is so high because the demand for these cards is extremely high, in porportion to the supply. If everyone other magic player in the world were to want a copy of One with Nothing, then the cost of it would skyrocket to 30 bucks as well, unfortunately its the very nature of capitalism. This is why awesome commons such as Rancor increase in value over time, because gradually the card is no longer printed, and the supply slowly runs drier. If wizards was still printing black lotus at the same amount as Swamps, then of course it'd be cheaper.

Now onto the current discussion, whether or not a card is considered good by the majority of magic players, then it will be highly priced, whereas Thoughseize on turn 8, is not particularly appealing.

So I don't like that huge price for Tarmogoyf either, but its unvoidable, and my opinion is that if wizards (for some reason) decided to ban it, you;d quickly see it drop down to 10 or 15, because the demand for it would suddenly go away.

It's been awhile since green was given a 2/1 for 1 cc, especially considering that this doubles into red as well. Sure to see play

    Creature - Human Moron
    Vanishing 3

If its a land you may yell "Happy St. Patricks Day in X days!" as loud as you can where X is the number of days until St. Patrick's Day. Then put a creature card with converted mana cost X or less from your hand to play. Sacrifice St. Patrick's Herald at end of turn.

Anyways, my set deals with a return of the ice age and of heidar as an undead. It rotates around the theme of "death" and "rebirth". Most other colors outside of the usual black will be given "death" related cards.

    Frostbitten Gaze 3U
    Sorcery
Deathcry UB (If a permanent you control has been put into a graveyard from play or returned from a graveyard to play this turn, you may play this card for its Deathcry cost.)
Put an instant or sorcery card in target player’s graveyard on top of its owner’s library.
These days, the border between life and death is thin. Things from one side of the veil always seem to find their way into the other.

    Mamowrath 2BB
    Creature - Elephant Zombie (R)
    Vanishing 4
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may remove a time counter from Mamowrath. If you do put a +1/+1 counter on Mamowrath for each time counter on it.
Human corspes were not enough to satisfy Heidar’s taste for undeath. He robbed the earth of everything that it held and the abominations rose from their frigid graves to serve as his minions.
    4/4
