Feb 6, 2014Dr.Awesome posted a message on Launch Giveaway! My favourite card is probably Muscle Sliver. I've always had a soft spot for Slivers since opening one. I started with Tempest when I was in Grade 7. This was back when we had Jinxed Idol in a game and thought that once someone had it, they had it forever ("it says permanently!") I've learned a lot about Magic since then, and like a lot of others have taken a few "breaks" from the game along the way, but I've always gravitated to that pre-8th border and the lovely art style of Tempest. Any time I see a Muscle Sliver, I can't help but smile and remember why I got hooked on Magic in the first place.Posted in: Announcements

There's a reason why they've been in those old boxes this whole time.
How about Altar of Dementia? Works as a removal-dodger and sets up Living Death, as requested. Alterate win-con with infinite Slivers?
In MY cube group, the Lodestone Golem comes up in more decks than Molten-tail did, so we cut it (the Molten-tail Masticore I mean). LG gives Tinker decks another, albiet more secondary, target and has passable stats at 4 mana. It was a hard cut, to be sure, but ultimately I think the right call for my cube. LG is on the chopping block though, so it's a matter of personal preference really.
Cut one for Hidden Dragonslayer:
Lone Missionary / Hallowed Spiritkeeper / Eternal Dragon / Spear of Heliod
I'm planning to swap Journey to Nowhere for Dragon Hunter to keep Savannah Lions. If none of the above should be cut, is it better to just swap the Hunter for the Lions, and the Dragonslayer for Journey?
This is a tough cut for me. Thanks for weighing in.
That makes my Rakdos section Grenzo, Dungeon Warden, Rakdos Cackler, Dreadbore, and this new command. Safe to say that this is the top 4 of Rakdos.

Not the most powerful Marchesa build but I like all the synergies. It definitely needs a Ghost Quarter at LEAST, and is hurting from the loss of Academy Ruins which I put into my cube, but overall it's a fun deck to play. If anyone hasn't tried Oona's Blackguard already, I suggest you try it.
This is exactly what I did. It's "cheating" a little and certainly not "optimal", but I think it's a very small sacrifice to include the Rhino in my cube.
