Mar 4, 2018kjsharp posted a message on MMI: Masters 25 Value ReviewI wish this article had an MTGO section, or at least did an MTGO card value evaluation alongside the other. It does take some work to calculate the MTGO prices because you need to manually look at the price of other versions of the card from GoatBots or Cardhoarder, but that's what would make the article valuable for us MTGO folks!Posted in: Articles

EDIT: yea, no room for Celestial Colonnade. Yikes this is disappointing. The value of these packs on MTGO is going to be terrible. We really needed some creeping tarpits and celestial colonnades to buttress the value.

CR: Target opponent reveals all cards he or she owns from outside the game. Until end of turn, you may cast a noncreature spell revealed this way and you may spend mana as though it were mana of any type to cast that spell.

My intention was for it to match exactly, but I think your proposal is in the spirit of the challenge so go ahead.
Our two finalists are FreshMeat and IcariiFA. Goodluck to you both, and I hope y'all enjoy the final round.

This month we'll be unleashing our imaginations to make the familiar unfamiliar, the old new, the antiquated fresh. For this challenge, we will be looking to shake up Magic's eternal formats. Every year, be it in a Commander, Conspiracy, or Standard set, Wizards tries to print cards designed specifically to improve older formats. Fatal Push, Sanctum Prelate, Palace Jailer, Ash Barrens, Flusterstorm, and Field of Ruin are all examples of cards that R&D designed specifically for that purpose. It is important for us to develop the twin design skills of (i) insight into why a format has the contours and gameplay style it has and (ii) the ability to design cards for a format without upending or destroying it. This final round will help us develop those skills.
Please be sure to read the clarifications, and keep in mind that the cards need to be designed with usual R&D constraints in mind. In specific, that means, for example, that your Modern card needs to be printed in a Standard set, but your Legacy card can be printed in a Standard set or a supplemental product like Battlebond or Conspiracy. Have fun!
