Idk if anyone pays attention to the modern dailies but a guy named Mcwinsauce has been on a tear lately. http://mtgtop8.com/archetype?a=188&meta=51&f=MO

5 top 8's in a month and 3 first place finishes. I like his version a lot.

His version is nearly identical to mine except I run eye of ugin instead of maindeck ghost quarters

Yes, that's how it works. It's an activated ability that puts him onto the battlefield from the graveyard when a criteria is fulfilled; a creature has been declared as an attacker.

    Not what you asked but:
Just to clarify, you cannot attack with him though as the declare attackers portion of the declare attackers step has to be passed (hence you cannot declare an attack again) for the criteria to be fulfilled. However if you gave him Haste and you got another combat step you could attack with him then - and of course return him if he dies.

I wasn't planning on attacking with him, I know how summoning sickness works. I was just thinking to sacrifice it multiple times to the Falkenrath Aristocrat for 1 mana black mana each time. Each time giving Falkenrath Aristocrat +1/+1 counter

    Question:
The interaction of raid and Bloodsoaked Champion allows it to be instantly put into play during combat?
For example: Would this allow it to be sacc'd to Falkenrath Aristocrat multiple times in combat?

Curious if anyone has considered Treasure Cruise or Dig Through Time. We don't care all that much about most of our graveyard (and we can fill it pretty fast), and if we need to we can pay high costs via Tron lands.

However, Treasure Cruise compares to Thirst, and while TC is a nicer topdeck on an empty hand, it's going to be a hell of a lot harder to cast on Turn 3. Plus it being a sorcery forcing us to tap a precious coloured source on our turn. DTT has added bonus of being an Instant, and providing amazing selection allowing us to skip past the high number of potential dead draws. Downside is UU is not easy to hit. Also worth considering is the comparison of both to Sphinx's Revelation. The Delve cards are easier to cast, both in terms of Delve and colours, but Rev might just be the better late-game bomb given the mana we have access to.

Anyone else put any thought into them?

The one problem I see with Delve cards is this deck wants to play into the late game. Casting Gifts Ungiven finding Emrakul, the Aeons Torn plus 3 other cards will almost always force a library shuffle.

I just personally don't know how many cards I'm going to want to exile to get 1 more card then Thirst for Knowledge but 7 seems like a stretch.

Dig Through Time on the other hand seems like a lot more powerful and could be good as a 1 of for gifts. Late game it should be easy to cast and help find game winning cards.

If you run Emmy without eye you can at least search for it with gifts and force a graveyard shuffle and have an automatic card going to the grave. This gives you the chance to look for 3 good cards plus emmmy and they're going to be forced to give you 2 of the 3 other good cards.

Here's a deck tech with Reid Duke for a U/W tron deck with emmy (without eye) http://www.starcitygames.com/events/coverage/deck_tech_uw_tron_with_reid_du.html

Iona and Emrakul are used since they end the game when they come out.

Iona completely shuts down mono colored decks

If Emrakul swings he completely wrecks the opponents board with annihilator, not to mention the 15 damage.

You can put in Blightsteel Colossus, or Jin-Gitaxias buit they're not going to 'end the game' when they come into play.

Mindslaver lock does end the game and is cheaper then emmy, but it does take a lot more time to complete a game.

This is where I ended up:

It did perform rather well in the limited testing I was able to do. The board control from Haakon + Inversion pulled it ahead of difficult midrange matchups like Pod, Jund etc. and if you got the lock going vs. most combo decks it mostly meant that the opponent rage quit at some point (always fun :p ).

I hope that someone will give it a shot and tell how it went.

Seems like you're stretching to use blue in the deck with only Lore Broker. If you were to use Clique and Snapcaster and counters, it would make the blue a lot more viable. It seems like you should just run a B/W style deck with how you're building it. Maybe throw in some small pox and flagstones

Any reason you're not using Falkenrath Aristocrat? Combine it with Mutavaults, and Gravecrawlers, and you've got indestructible flying creature that can get bigger.
