Speaking of lands. Irrigated Farmland has been great for me. I'm surprised it isn't a 1 of in more decks.
Cycle, and fetchable outweighing the etb imo.

Feb 6, 2019Nice to see a new 'updated' primer. Looking good so far.Posted in: Control
I'm going to just throw my deck list in here.
DeckMagic OnlineOCTGN2ApprenticeBuy These Cards Instant/Sorcery (23):
4x Inquisition of kozilek
4x Fatal Push
3x Raven's Crime
2x Collective Brutality
4x Lingering Souls
3x Myth Realized
4x Liliana of the Veil
4x Gideon, Ally of Zendikar
1x Obzedat, Ghost Council
3x Shambling Vent
3x Godless Shrine
4x Marsh Flats
3x Fetid Heath
3x Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
4x Flagstones of Trokair
Overall idea is to stress the opponent's hand early and often to the point that Obzedat, Ghost Council, and Gideon, Ally of Zendikar can close out the game. Myth realized as mentioned earlier is nice for early game but falls off. I find obz is able to help close out the game when you've grinded out the opponent.
No sideboard added as I've changed up the sideboard multiple times and I don't have anything concrete at the moment.
Mar 10, 2018Still a newbie to the deck, but I'd imagine tossing the bontu's and a through the breach would be optimal. Since they're more likely to kill you with the inkmoth, and bontu's is sorcery. Then 2nd breach is just redundant.Posted in: Combo
After maybe goryo's the borb for blocker. Then if no griselbrand use through the breach on worldspine.
Jan 29, 2018Any opinion on The Immortal Sun? It seems like it has a fair bit of power. Shutting off opposing planeswalkers, lowering mana costs, and giving an additional card. Seems like a decent single cards. I doubt people would want to give you that with gifts.Posted in: Control
Sep 26, 2014DrB00 posted a message on Modern - Random Card of the Day: Hibernation (12/18)Martial Coup would maybe work in a tron style deck, easy to get 5+ mana. Otherwise seems a little weak since the tokens aren't flying, and requires 7 mana to sweep.Posted in: Modern

5 top 8's in a month and 3 first place finishes. I like his version a lot.
His version is nearly identical to mine except I run eye of ugin instead of maindeck ghost quarters
Sep 20, 2014Posted in: New Card DiscussionQuote from Tzefick »Yes, that's how it works. It's an activated ability that puts him onto the battlefield from the graveyard when a criteria is fulfilled; a creature has been declared as an attacker.
Not what you asked but:
Just to clarify, you cannot attack with him though as the declare attackers portion of the declare attackers step has to be passed (hence you cannot declare an attack again) for the criteria to be fulfilled. However if you gave him Haste and you got another combat step you could attack with him then - and of course return him if he dies.
I wasn't planning on attacking with him, I know how summoning sickness works. I was just thinking to sacrifice it multiple times to the Falkenrath Aristocrat for each time. Each time giving Falkenrath Aristocrat +1/+1 counter
Sep 19, 2014Posted in: ControlQuote from Ecophagy »Curious if anyone has considered Treasure Cruise or Dig Through Time. We don't care all that much about most of our graveyard (and we can fill it pretty fast), and if we need to we can pay high costs via Tron lands.
However, Treasure Cruise compares to Thirst, and while TC is a nicer topdeck on an empty hand, it's going to be a hell of a lot harder to cast on Turn 3. Plus it being a sorcery forcing us to tap a precious coloured source on our turn. DTT has added bonus of being an Instant, and providing amazing selection allowing us to skip past the high number of potential dead draws. Downside is UU is not easy to hit. Also worth considering is the comparison of both to Sphinx's Revelation. The Delve cards are easier to cast, both in terms of Delve and colours, but Rev might just be the better late-game bomb given the mana we have access to.
Anyone else put any thought into them?
The one problem I see with Delve cards is this deck wants to play into the late game. Casting Gifts Ungiven finding Emrakul, the Aeons Torn plus 3 other cards will almost always force a library shuffle.
I just personally don't know how many cards I'm going to want to exile to get 1 more card then Thirst for Knowledge but 7 seems like a stretch.
Dig Through Time on the other hand seems like a lot more powerful and could be good as a 1 of for gifts. Late game it should be easy to cast and help find game winning cards.
Sep 17, 2014If you run Emmy without eye you can at least search for it with gifts and force a graveyard shuffle and have an automatic card going to the grave. This gives you the chance to look for 3 good cards plus emmmy and they're going to be forced to give you 2 of the 3 other good cards.Posted in: Control
Here's a deck tech with Reid Duke for a U/W tron deck with emmy (without eye) http://www.starcitygames.com/events/coverage/deck_tech_uw_tron_with_reid_du.html
Aug 10, 2014Iona and Emrakul are used since they end the game when they come out.Posted in: Control
Iona completely shuts down mono colored decks
If Emrakul swings he completely wrecks the opponents board with annihilator, not to mention the 15 damage.
You can put in Blightsteel Colossus, or Jin-Gitaxias buit they're not going to 'end the game' when they come into play.
Mindslaver lock does end the game and is cheaper then emmy, but it does take a lot more time to complete a game.
