Wait. Niv, why didn't elaborate on your ability when you had to claim yesterDay?
I just had to scroll way back to find what question I was missing. my b.

my role plays largely like a vanilla role, and there was no reason to put it in the thread. if I was getting lynched, my claim would have done nothing, in my opinion. I wanted to however hold the card so that If I was going to die, that the reads I was providing had double validity. but it was mostly the first, I view my role as a form of vanilla in this game, and felt as though at the ly-2 moment it wasn't going to be relevant.

nope, it really doesn't. I've pretty much given up on using quotes, but I was never really a fan of them before either.

while you're here, want to answer the question I asked everyone? if you were a pope, who would you have sainted night 2? and I guess since you replaced in, who would you have sainted as a pope in the pregame night one?

Matrix mafia had like 4 roles on the replacemnt list, I was one of them, was the worst role I've ever had. never got to post in the thread, but hey, I lived to the endgame as mafia in one of the best games ever........ but no one ever knew I had a role.

starting up another essay, but just a quick comment before I do. if we could find a way to do it, I wouldn't be opposed to having people claim any location based abilities at their own discretion. but for the most part, I would be opposed to a full on mass claim. but if people have abilities that would hint we should be on one world over another, I feel like that would possibly be best served if everything was out in the open.

one question quick, since we opened with it, and I still think it's relevant, and answers would differ from day one.

if you were a pope, who would you have sainted night 2? I would have double sainted shockwave.

I just don't understand why we're no lynching today, and then lynching tommorrow, instead of lynching today and no lynching tommorrow.

01. HookerPunch
02. KoolKoal
04. Wildfire393 (r. cccccc808)
06. DCIII
07. KamikazeArchon (r. kpaca (r. hansanator))
08. fulcrum
09. Kosakosa
10. Niv
12. Cantripmancer (r. Generic)

that's 2 scum, 9 people right now, we lynch today, and both the cantrip kill and they lynch are misses. we're down to 6 people with 2 scum tomorrow, right? I get why we're doing the no lynch, but I don't get why we're doing it today. If we get 2 more lynches, I see no reason we shouldn't no lynch tomorrow instead. actually I guess it really doesn't matter what day we do it, but I've never really been a fan of doing it early, but I guess both days still get us to 5 people 2 scum if everything misses. I've just never really been a fan of no lynch before myol. I'd rather go into tomorrow though with the 6 - 2 no lynch tommmorrow, because if we're gonna use an extra shot today, and one of them hits, then we go into tommorrow with 6 - 1, which gives us another day and another no lynch to get down to 3 - 1. if we take the one shot, no lynch today, we're 7 - 2 tommorrow, then we lnch tommorrow, if we hit, we're then 5 - 1. giving us 2 straight lynches to 3 - 1.

maybe I'm crazy, but it feels like no lynch tomorrow in this situation is better, though I see why we are talking about it, and people as a whole would rather do it today, that's fine by me.

Skimmed the thread. Fulcrum and Wildfire stand out as town. Niv looks scummy. HP looks very scummy. Generic/Cantrip looks somewhat scummy. Slight town lean on DCIII. Both KK's are null.
you have way too many scum reads or null reads in a game with likely only 2 scum left. and your only town reads are on the double voter, who's pretty much guaranteed town, and fulcrum, who I firmly believe was the scummiest player of d1, and is getting by off of the claim.

someone fill me in why we're no lynching today. no lynch is for much closer to endgame, we lynched scum d1, we;re not even close to needing to give up the days lynch.

having skimmed my post after posting it, the question I posed to Megiddo was pretty null by the end of page 5, feel free to ignore it.

ok, so, this is going to be a record size for me, I guarantee it. Currently using 25 posts per page, if anyone knows how to change this on curse, let me know, because I would so rather it was 40. lets go. sorry for the delay. life's a *****, and I already lost one ~1000+ word post to me being <snip> and not saving my work, so, I'm going to stay up tonight until its done. got my music on, and I'm ready to write an essay. I a big fan of fast games, but this one is growing so bloody fast. heck, Megiddo's avatar changed while I was typing this post tonight, and tired me just had my mind blown. oh, so, it's almost 2 am, and I get incoherent around this time of night, so I should stop now. but I think, even though much of what I'm talking about is outdated, it's still worth putting up now, before I lost more posting again.

------------

so, the only thing I really have to respond to directly, was my initial vote on page 2 on wildfire. that vote just felt really off to me, and still does. hooker made a disclaimer regarding the fact that she wasn't voting herself this game, and Wildfire ignored it, to simply post a bad wifom vote, at best. was a fan, and still am not a fan.

------------

worlds: just since it was the topic at the time, I do want to talk about the diffrent worlds real quick here. First halls seem to have no real benefit, unless someone's role has a reason to be here. but it just feels like a "start square" on a board game. Erhamen feels as though we want to be there at the endgame, or close to it, like when we have one more lynch before lyol, Alway Etteem feels as though it's the place to be somewhat early. give the nature of this game (roles being assigned to players largely independent of alignment) though I would assume it would affect all roles equally. if we use the setup from seasons as a baseline, we'll possibly have a couple predetermined neutral roles (SK or otherwise) and mafia of about 5, that have roles that could have also been town. given that knowledge, one can assume that Alway Etteem is best used when we have the highest town/nottown ratio, which would be most likley on day/night one. Oberos is likely best used after we mass claim, whenever that happens. we can try to setup higher suspects to be targeted, so we can potentially have a no kill night. in practice it may not be this simple, but it's still probably the best use for this place, where we can make a chain of some kind, to potentially roleblock everyone, or damn near everyone, and if someone doesn't follow thier assignment post mass claim in this scenario. I can't think of any protown reason to visit Gundhiya, but people may have role related reasons to come here. Ruchperion is also interesting, and is likley the place we want to be once we leave Alway Etteem, since it can gain the most vitality early, since one would assume that more people will be dying early.

so all in all, I'll probally be voting to go to Alway Etteem at the end of this post, but this was typed up before I read pages 3 - current, so, someone else may have said these things already, or said things to contradict them.

--------------

page 2: Chris's post here is really off to me. largley because of the Cythere comment. there is nothing wrong with being cautious on day one (like, RL day one) when we have like 3 weeks or something to work out where we should being, and deciding something like that this early in the day. this just feels like an unnecessary and forced smear on something that wasn't really off at all. the response from Cythere here is solid. while I am aware from skimming the thread a few times, that the voting method has changed since this post, the logic is still sound. and really, if what chris says here is actually true, he has some pretty farfetched methods of acquireing information. Megiddo feels slightly town for his reaction to Chris, and DCIII feels very town for his. DCIII's manner just really strikes me as town thinking and posting, dispute how little was actually said. though I'm not sure where Meggs is getting his scum read on Cythere on this post. this post feels to me as a simple legit response to Chris' bad smear. lastly, AI's fish on Meggido actually feels like a protown fish, given that it was an attempt to not waste resources on him, while fishing like that often is not a pro town action, I feel this one was taken from a town mindset.

------------

Page 3: I do want to briefly comment on my RVS post here. I voted Iso simply because I had really fond memories of the prequel to this game, and I wanted an excuse to remind everyone of the Wheel of Mafia. nothing more, nothing less. Will probably go back to self votes in 95% of my games.

@Chris(mostly) I really can't figure out what I think of this post. a lot of what is in it feels as though it's leading me to believe that he's not scum, but a lot of the things I'm finding off, he's specifically writing off to his playstyle, which I can accept. do you have have any way to corroborate what your saying here? like, your defensiveness does feel off to me, but if that's just how you play I'm willing to write it off. do you have a game you can link me, either on site or off, that would clearly demonstrate your posting style, regardless of alignment?

Proph's post here really just feels like a lot of words, with nothing said, and on the whole just feels off. Killjoy's post here is pretty sound, but he's missing out on the randomized roles being independent of alignment. if there were a hypothetical roleblocker, it's just as likely that that roleblocker is town. I like the prodding on wildfire, and all of the world discussion seems on point.

Wildfire's initial on hooker vote had all of the halmarks of a serious vote, and his backtrack here feels like exactly that, a backtrack. I also do want to comment here, that one or 2 games is not a meta. 2 years is a meta, 2 games is a coincidence I'd dare say at 3 you might start having meta (based on the theory once is accident, twice is coincidence, three times is a pattern, that applies to almost any scenario out there, not just within mafia.) but that backtrack seems largely unnecessary, and feels overly self conscious. that and this comment by Megiddo is pretty accurate as well, though I'm not sure I find that inherently suspect, but the manner in which it's happening very will is. I also want to comment directly at wildfire: the game you're in with me is still in progress, please don't meta me for a game that's not only still going on, but I'm still alive in. last time I checked, this goes along with the whole no discussing games in progress thing. but seriously, you have a one partial game meta of me, and you're going to call my 2 post uncharacteristic. I really don't get you, and you're probably scum. this lines it out pretty much better than I probally ever could, and DCIII's probably town. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE: So, Hooker's post and the vote it garnered wasn't actually a super serious vote, but now my opening is suspicious again. so, if one could concider me and hooker to be equal in this sense, you're now backtracking on your backtrack. so, yah, your scum, and I should stop reading now, right? and those useless null reads here. really, useless read on Chris, what probally equates to a light town read on LnG, and a Seppel read on seppel disguised as a scum read. yah, this one's scum.

@Seppel: are you town? wait, you're voting wildfire already? so, we know you're seppel, but really are you town? cause you're fishing for effects as though we should just assume you are. should we just assume you are in every game, and then lynch you in every endgame you're still alive in, cause that used to be the way you were dealt with.

-----------

Page 4: @Megiddo: I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean, if we could go back in time, has wildfire gone +town or +scum in your books since you called him out and this point?

@AI: you were in seasons too, if I recall. you know as well as I do that a early mass claim would have been ***** in that game, and given the mechanics of this game being much more inline with seasons than Grim Batol, what makes you think that this would be beneficial in any way?

a lot of what's said here I completely echo. I also had completely missed the part where all the realms lost HP, not just the one we're on. but all in all that's a great post. pretty sure it's a town post too.

@hans: do you really have nothing else to talk about at this stage of the game?

did wildfire really just repost Arihn's math and call it his own, because that's what I'm reading this as. I also would like to comment here that he's assuming that A) the potential SK makes it to endgame, and B) the sk never shoots scum, both of which are bad assumptions, since simply on the odds, that will likely never happen.

just a quick comment on the wildfire/megiddo exchange here. and I find it really funny that Wildfire is either oblivious, or choses to ignore that it's his post +towning seppel, not seppel's

just gonna go ahead and +town proph here. all good posting. but really, why are there so few votes on wildfire at this point. this is getting ridiculous. this is day one of seasons all over, only this time it's not a DRay implosion. that was a solid implosion though.

------------

Page 5: gonna go ahead and just start out with the wildfire implosion on the whole. this is one of the worst posts I've seen in a while. though, I'm pretty much comming to the conclusion I have absolutally no idea what to make of megiddo. I have a solid town read, but all the one liners are starting to pile up, and ones like this do nothing more than reiterate the scum read he has on wildfire. but I'm continuing to not follow wildfire here. this is just so brain dead it hurts me a little, I jsut read that like 4 times and probably killed a 1000 brain cells in the process. this post by Cythare kind of says nothing, but hides it well.
Quote from Megiddo »
ITT: Cythare fakes it, wildfire tries really hard, and AsianInvasion is secretly scum but nobody will ever vote for him.
QFT

another wildfire smear, this is just far off I'm not even sure what insult to use here. good slam on 2 unrelated players here btw. that and it's irrelevant who meg's is voting, when he's clearly voting you in every way but the official one. there's applying suspicion in a post and then not voting someone, and then there's what's happening in this thread.

so, um this page was so many one liners I thought I might be at a Mitch Hedberg show: <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/X_8HebuQFlU" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://www.youtube.com/v/X_8HebuQFlU" width="425" height="350" movie="http://www.youtube.com/v/X_8HebuQFlU" wmode="transparent"/> but on that note, good night. 1980 words. and I still have like 15 more pages. this is going to be "fun".

Please don't use "retarded" so casually. -TK

if from what I've picked up from the theory/discussion thread, Asenion is dragonheart91. if that's the case, then he's one of those impossible to read players, from my really old experience. that being said. I'm actually getting a town vibe from him atm. just seems like he actually want to figure this game out at a glance.

though I do have a question for him: in a vaccume, what would your read be on your predecessor. if you had just replaced into this game for someone else, who was town, would you be voting shockwave? what's your thoughts there, I'd like to get at least some sort of mindset from you regarding your predecessor.

from skimming the day, I'm finding myself largley in agreement with iRebel's assessments, epically the one on Tan. if I get time in the next week, I'll look back more, and cement this but I'm thinking this may be where we go today.

I'll get more into the thread probally tommorrow. I have another post at about 2000 words right now, for something else, and it's no where near done........

also /tired.

just skimmed real quick while working on another post. Kami has town reads on wildfire (double voter, that is 99.99999% town, and fulcrum. and a scum read on everyone else, or a null read, especially a null read on the proven dayvig poisoner. oh, and this post 2 up. UnVote, Vote Kamikazi

---------

Cythare did give me a large amount of reads that I need to get to, but that will likely be tomorrow night before I can. also I have no idea if he can be voted for.

I do have the novel in progress, but I just got home from work, and I'm heading back out to midnight release for M15. I then work tommorrow untill about 5 or 6 PST. I'll then get home, and do nothing but work on the post till the post is done. I got sidetracked by League of Legends earlier and didn't get as much typed up as I wanted, (about 100 posts in) but I'll have everything up by tommorrow night.

but for those that are unaware, Niv has a history of writing novels that no one reads.
