Aug 1, 2014Niv posted a message on [League/Normal Game] Archer Mafia - Game Over - Tragical History - Mafia Winfun fact, This little outing was only my second time ever being scum. with the first being Warhammer 40k mafia, where I imploded day one. clearly I have no idea how to do it, but I felt that my play was identical to my town play. someone want to fill me in as to what I actually did to out myself d1?Posted in: Mafia
Jul 24, 2014does anyone actually think tan is scum after that last post?Posted in: Mafia
@Xyre: what happens to saint points in a modkill? no chance on a replacement? no contingency for this?
Jul 24, 2014Niv posted a message on [Mini Game] BioShock Mafia: Endgame: The Rise of Rapture and the Fall of Earth (Town Victory)if fulcrum watches dciii tonight, and gets back to us, it confirms DCIII tonight. and if she's the nightkill at some point, we can just lynch DCIII in PoE in fulcrum's place. your plan is pretty foolproof imo, kami.Posted in: Mafia
Jul 23, 2014Niv posted a message on [Mini Game] BioShock Mafia: Endgame: The Rise of Rapture and the Fall of Earth (Town Victory)to be completly honest though, I really don't care if you guys lynch me either. I'm spread really thin right now, and there's no way we can lose this game at this point. just figure out the PoE and don't let a scum DCIII or fulcrum win it.Posted in: Mafia

Jul 23, 2014Niv posted a message on [Specialty Game] Celestial Mafia - Game Over: ...Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain.so, hi, I really need to be up to date in this. I really wish I'd never let myself fall behind early, but here's more. trying to type less so I'm up to date faster. I know it's only 2 pages, but I need to force myself to post more stuff even when I only have time to read 2 pages. as always, sorry.Posted in: Mafia
Page 6: I'm not sure what to make of the odd little continuation of the exchange between wildfire, cythare, AI, and Megs from the start of the page.
Meg's response to wildfire's vote on AI however makes me double back on a lot of this. wildfire's response to this as well starts making me rethink wildfire now. it's just really off that meg's is responding to the Vote on AI in this way, given that he's already said AI is probably scum. though I'm not sure if it's meg's response that's making me feel better about wildfire, or wildfire's actions themselves.
I'm continueing to feel better about chris here. feels like a 100% town post. while I don't agree with him on Ahrin, the way he typed out his logic feels like it comes from a town mindset. that and meg's response to it just feels really odd. not even sure if it makes him scum, but the way it's phrased just makes me rethink meg. it's like, go ahead push this guy, heck, what he did was a scum tell, but I'm not going to get truly involved.
Page 7: Chris votes meg. Chris is most likely town imo. and meg's responses just blow my mind. I'm not sure what to think, but whatever I am thinking, it's not good.
the page continues, Proph is leaning town. Wildfire is scum. I'm also thinking here that there's no way alot of the people in this thread can be scum with wildfire. so, when he flips, his interactions will be really worth looking at. but really, wildfire is imploding by this point. posts like this responce to hooker, and his sudden switch to "pressuring" seppel really just arn't good.
Jul 23, 2014sorry, I'm around. I'm just skimming over my notes/old posts. I'm starting to go back to thinking that JeY might be worth another look today. but I'll get more detailed thoughts up later.Posted in: Mafia
Jul 23, 2014I'm around. gonna only have so much time today, so, just quickly, I follow DCIII's thinking.Posted in: Mafia
and if Fulcrum is scum, we can PoE her tommorrow. and if on some off chance that DCIII is scum gambiting here, we can PoE him later too. we still have 3 lynches with the scum kill yesterday.
Fulcrum, you still have watcher and Voyeur left, correct?
Jul 18, 2014Posted in: Mafia
what about the "non bogus points" still leads you to not find him scum? how can the points be right, but the reads be wrong?Quote from JeY k »I had a strong feeling Kamikaze was town. I have a strong feeling that Tanarin is town.
There is something different. On Kamikaze, I felt like a solid majority of points were just nonsense, but there's a lot of points against Tanarin which don't seem bogus. It's interesting. I'll still happily say that if he flips scum I'll be surprised.
Jul 17, 2014the last line of that intro should read "also of note" not "also of not"Posted in: Mafia

Jul 17, 2014Thoughts from Cythare, paraphrased (and put from my perspective). these were posted on the 7th, and I've been procrastinating, a lot. didn't realize deadline was in 5 hours.Posted in: Mafia
Cythare doesn't like DCIII's disliking of me(Niv) because he(Cythere) should have known better. he says his(cythere) play in Xymande was terrible and he's more or less forgotten it. but he guesses DCIII is right about it and Deus Ex. Still, he(DCIII) thinks I(niv) may be scum because he(Cythere) didn't think he was scum? I don't like it.
Anyways, he started by looking at who dkingsland interacted with and then who interacted with him (aside from dead town). It seems like the best place to start, and then he said he might review interactions with LnGrrrR and maybe SNL,, but didn't because he didn't think there was as much to be gleaned there
also of not, I have not read the game Deus Ex that is mentioned repeatedly.
-#40: SNL is town. Cythere already feels that c8/Wildfire is town, but this helps that.
-#88: DKL is pushing c808 = town hard in this post and also begins by budding fulcrum in this post, but by the end of it he is attacking him, and for this, fulcrum is probably town.
-#102: this post only defends c808/Wildfire as town. nothing to be gained.
-#153: N/A interaction wise, however this is when cythere started to suspect DKL
-#154: Passively attacks HookerPunch, saying that he would vote him if not for Deus Ex. then goes straight for SNL and then places his vote on him. This read to cythare like potential distancing. He(dkl) wants to say he(dkl) doesn't like HP's low content and uses the "threat" of a vote to do it, but the about face switch to SNL clearly indicates that the first part is a hollow threat. he feels that this is more likely to be a weak bus than an attack on two townies. cythere doesn't think that he can make anything of the dkl response to hansanator.
-#167: Lame parroting of DCIII. This makes him think DCIII is more likley town from this
-#181: This post sends red flags up on hansanator for me. Hansanator has been pretty low-content, and he asks 1 person (dkingsland) about 1 other person (Kosakosa). See #171.
-#201: Defends me (niv) to Kosakosa, but cythere thinks this is fine, since dkl used actual reasoning instead of vague statements. We already know LnGrrrR is town so that part is null as is the response to c808
-#208: N/A - only interacts with another dead player
-#240: Defends KoolKoal from DCIII. but Cythere doesn't think this says anything indictive about koal's alignment.
-#255: After #240, dkingsland leaves a pathway to lynching Kool though. as such, cythere thinks Kool is town. he also thinks that the noncommittal statement he (dkl) has about hans might indicate that hans could be scum.
-#267: Re: 263, cythere becomes more sure that hans is scum. Rather than defend himself(dkl) for lurking, he answers another question regarding someone else's lurking and says it's not a tell. while cythere agrees with the dkl statement, he never responds to #267 (or #240).
-#354: Nothing telling to cythere here.
-#378: dkl mostly talks about theory and begins backpedaling regarding SNL. It doesn't change cythere's opinion on fulcrum.
-#429: dkl Votes KoolKoal having not really discussed him at all since the backdoor comment (#255). Defends me again.
-#553: N/A, another PTAP.
-#654: Another PTAP. both irrelevant
-#658: Last post. Votes Kool again (after vote reset). he's (cy) curious if this might be distancing, but he doesn't think so.
his TS list:
Neutral (in descending order):
he said he'd do more, but hasn't had time.

well, personally I don't support a full mass claim, but I do think there's probably some information pertaining to the worlds and how they can possibly be best used that can be openly claimed at people's discretions. people should use their own judgments, as always, but really, I would bet that there are some roles that would be best used in the open this game, and some roles that are not, but that requires people to play well and understand what information would actually be worth claiming. but yah, if someone has a role that does function X for us on plane Y, that's a really good reason possibly to be on plane Y, given function X is desirable.Quote from Megiddo »hey let's not mass claim. are you guys dumb?
