Also three colour pairings allow for a great variety, in story and in gameplay. Thanks for posting this stuff.Posted in: Articles

Have you thought about Black Market? Might be a cool fit, what with all the death effects in here.
In Garruk's Wake may be interesting as well. Although pricey, it keeps your stuff out getting lots of draw for you.
I'm putting together one of these myself, and it's always cool to see what others are running.
Nissa and Nissa's Chosen would also be great in an elf ball type deck for constant elf and life gain stuff.
Yeah it's a cool card for getting that Craterhoof & Avenger win, but it seems too slow. Blinking craterhoof seems interesting in a deck like this. I find when I'm playing, I get to that point where either Prophet of Kruphix or Deadeye and some combo card (Venser/Acidic Slime) out and generally take the game over.
I like the card but find it hard to get mileage out of.
If I was running Swan Song it would be the same dilemma with leaving mana open (U instead of G)
My usage is mainly for protection from Pathing effects on an Ulamog or a Blightsteel.
I think it could work if you have a way to set up the top card with a Worldly Tutor or something and animar has 5+ couters. I'm not keen on it but it has potential.
Noice, thanks I thought as much.
